The Long Reflection

Rate this book
'The otherworldly Mists are not natural woodland mists, just as the otherworldly Shadows are not normal shadows cast by the sun.'

In this second book in the series, the tribe’s ancient guide, Iuzio the Immortal, is severely challenged when the powerful Locollico spirit, Melahlo, threatens to infiltrate the line of Gypsies whose reflections are cast in the River of Life. The young Lileskai, in his desperation to be immortal, becomes hopelessly obsessed with forest mist and its haunting spirits, and finally loses his reflection. Seven generations later Lileskai’s descendent, No Name, cannot even bring himself to look at his reflection. Introspective in his later years, No Name must revisit a tragic memory in a bid to break the vicious spell that binds him with Lileskai and the ghostly Lenore. As those in the line begin crisscrossing boundaries of time, unavoidably accessing each other’s realities, can Lileskai, No Name and Iuzio, separated by centuries but bound by fate, stop Melahlo from finally breaking into their River of Life?
