My brother ran. She came to me. Now I’m done lettin’ her go.
I’ve loved Esme for years. Since we were kids. Even after she became my brother’s woman—the golden boy who always got everything.
So I kept my mouth shut and my feelings locked down, watchin’ her build a life with him while I stayed on the outside. Told myself it didn’t matter. That I could live with bein’ second best. Just the friend who’s always there.
Yeah… I was wrong.
Now my brother’s gone—ran from debts he couldn’t pay—and Esme’s the one left to face it. Not empty threats. Real men. The kind who don’t stop once they lock on.
So she comes to me.
The one man who never walked away.
I take her in. Put myself—and my club—between her and anyone stupid enough to come lookin’.
Was supposed to be just helpin’ her out.
But havin’ her back in my world? Hearin’ her say my name like she finally sees me?
Nah. I’m done standin’ aside.
This time, I fight for her.
And I don’t lose what’s mine.
Wizard is the 13th installment in the Satan's Angels MC series. Each book in the series delivers a standalone happily ever after for the couple, but for the best experience, we recommend reading them in order.
Oh, be still my heart! This story slayed me in the best way possible! The plot was amazing, focusing mostly on our MCs’ character development and feelings. One of the most heartfelt friends-to-lovers story I have ever read. I loved Esme, I felt for her. Her insecurities lie deep, but the one constant in her life was and is Wizard. Her ex’s brother and her forever best friend. The transition from friends to more was natural in my eyes, as when the curtain lifted for Esme, the emotions, the understanding, the soul-deep connection that was always there just found another, unexplored room to grow. But I can’t hide the fact that Wizard was the one that truly stole my heart in this one! He is the perfect man in every way! He was in love with Esme since forever. For the sake of her happiness, he endured everything; seeing your unworthy, shameless, arrogant, entitled brother not only getting the love of your life but also not treating her the way she deserved certainly took its tall. I loved how unafraid he is to express his emotions in every level. His “innocence” was also refreshing and swoon-worthy like the rest of him. I found myself repeatedly being a puddle on the floor. I also loved how the Satan’s Angels family stood by them both, no questions asked. I couldn’t put the book down; this series is seriously one of the best I have read regarding the characters, the growth, the emotions and everything in between. I can’t wait for the next one! 5 stars unquestionably!

This is almost like the companion book to Zeppelin. In that book the butthead brother dies and, just as well, so the two MCs can be together. In this one the creepy brother lives and causes years of misery.
I could certainly relate to the MFC having grown up treated poorly and then turning towards someone who treated her poorly. And for years not noticing the perfectly good bff brother who actually deserved her.
And oof, both MCs have shitty parents. This author has a lot more optimism about family relationships than I've experienced. She's forever giving her MC's parents second and third chances - as the parent/child dynamic gets reversed and the MCs are the real grown ups.
Not all of this author's MFCs are small but most of them are and I've honestly never understood this trope in romance.
“He’s as big as a warrior, one of his legs alone thicker than my whole body. He’s so huge.”
What? Trying to picture that is just weird. These people are human - not aliens, paranormal, or mythical - why the ridiculous size difference? He's the tech guy. I can believe he works out because it's part of the biker community he's part of but this seems absurd.
Esme leaves her fiancé James. To her horror, she receives messages saying that James owes money. Since he left town, she owes them the money. Esme has no way to pay back the large amount he has accrued. She goes to his brother Wizard, and his MC will be able to help her and keep her safe from these people. Wizard and the MC go above and beyond what they need to do to help Esme. Wizard has always had feelings but has been too afraid to show them; he didn't feel worthy of her. Esme feels very insecure after her turbulent relationship with James. She doesn't feel that she is good enough for Wizrd. So there's a lot of angst and tension between the two. Will they ever get the HEA they both deserve? I recieved an arc for my voluntary honest review for NN Book Blog. If you enjoy a second-chance MC Romance with plenty of angst, then you will love this read.
Wizard’s brother James married the girl Wizard was in love with, and years later, he split and left her on the hook for an obscene amount of money with guys whose middle name is The (as in Jimmy the Hammer). Esme, said woman, comes to Wizard for help. So begins this book. I love the friends to lovers trope, and it’s done really well here, with a truly deep love between the main characters, with the brother vs brother twist. I liked Esme, but I loved Wizard. He’s very sweet and incredibly loyal. Plus, he’s open to experimenting in the bedroom. Heat- explicit, hero with a v card. Bechdel test- N Safety- Y Triggers- violence, language, explicit content. Tropes- friends to lovers, all in the family, we’re not really related, brother vs brother.

This was another intense and steamy addition to the series and I was hooked just on the blurb. I can't imagine the pain Wizard suffered knowing the woman he was pining for, Esme, was with his brother...and not treated right. Thankfully, she knew she could count on him when James ran out on her and left her to deal with the consequences of his actions. Wizard definitely is all-in to help her and I loved seeing their emotions bloom into something precious. This one isn't as gritty as others in the series but it's a page turner with all the feels as these 'friends' become everything to each other. So good!
Book 13 of Satan's Angels MC. While it can be read as a standalone for maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.
'Nah. I’m done standin’ aside. This time, I fight for her. And I don’t lose what’s mine.'
The characters were very complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and expertly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

I fell in love with Wizard. Always standing on the sidelines with Esme. Watching his brother with the woman he’d always wanted. And when she came to him after his brother ran from debts he owes, Wizard was more than willing to protect her from the men that were coming to collect. I loved that he didn’t push her away, didn’t feel second best. It was the right time finally in life. And he took that moment and ran with it. I loved the fierce devotion he has for her. The love and protection. This was an intense and steamy read. I loved these two,
A delightful story that takes us into the lives of Wizard and Esme. Their romance began many years ago. Wizard has always been in love with Esme but never acted on it, but now the time for waiting and watching from a distance is over, and he is doing everything he can to protect her, keep her safe, and make her realize that she belongs with him and that he can give her what she longs for and deserves. Highly recommended reading!

Wizard/Neal has been in love with his best friend and his brother's fiance, Esme, for years, no one has ever caught his attention. When his brother takes off and leaves behind to deal with the people coming to look for the money he owes, the only person she knows who can help her is Wizard. This is an emotional journey for both characters, they have always loved each other but now Esme is on the cusp of falling in love. This was an intense journey for both of them.

Wizard and Esme started out as friends 15 years, but he’s loved her as more since. This was one of the more angst driven stories of the Satan’s Angels MC series books. It’s less bloody and more full of feelings, though no less intense than the others. James his brother goes off the deep end at the end, but Wizard survives and Esme is his ! 5✨’s for a book driven by love and filled with heat.

This is a book for those of us who love their MC romances with plenty of angst and a couple who were meant to be from the start. Even though Wizard was in love with Esme for a very long time he could never act on it because she was with his brother. Now that brother has left Esme blowing in the wind and its Wizard who is there to make sure that nothing happens to her. Theirs is a love that was meant to be.
Wizard had loved Esme since they grew up together as kids but his brother James the golden child had to have the girl others wanted and Wizard stepped aside being the friend who was always there, no matter the distance. And when James gets into debts and runs leaving Esme a target she goes to Wizard for protection, he wont let this chance to protect and show her just how much she means to him go to waste. Well written high emotions, slow burning, engaging, friends to lovers romance
This thrilling story drew me into Wizard and Esme. HIs brother was the golden one everyone wanted to be with and around. He got Esme the girl Wizard wanted and he stepped aside. That is until James ran when he got into trouble leaving Esme holding the bag! She runs to Wizard for help and their path begins. This story had me cheering them on to finally getting happiness.

Wizard and Esme's story has been years in the making. Wizard has loved Esme for every single one of those years but couldn't act on it. This is a journey fueled by that love and Wizards desire to have and protect Esme at all costs. It's a great second chance story of sorts and I loved every minute of it.
Great Story!! I really enjoyed reading Wizard and it was an awesome addition to this series. Once I started this book I had a hard time putting it down, so this book gets a definite thumbs up from me.
Love this book and it's series and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about MC life and their family and friends 🩷 and Lily L James and Sarina Hart are amazing writers 🩵
series hits the makers of funny, good dialogue, excellent ‘sexy’ talk and physical connection. I always enjoy when series characters actually intertwine together in the series. I would recommend reading each book in order to get the best of the story telling but it’s definitely not necessary…just more enjoyable in my experience.
