Nicolette is not introduced as someone searching for love, but as someone trying to rebuild herself after a past that left deep scars. That foundation shapes the entire narrative, giving her choices and reactions a sense of realism. Her guarded nature, her hesitation, and even her contradictions all feel grounded in lived experience rather than constructed drama.
👉Gideon’s presence marks the first real shift in her world. His intensity and focus create an immediate tension, as he sees something in Nicolette that she is not yet ready to acknowledge in herself. Their connection is not easy or effortless; it is marked by resistance, curiosity, and a slow unraveling of emotional walls. The push and pull between them keeps the early part of the story engaging, as it is clear that both characters are navigating unfamiliar emotional territory.

OMG I can’t pick which guy I like more. Possessive, protective and empowering! They are so great. FMC has some TRAUMA in her past, but it’s not going to define her.
We have a broody billionaire, a playboy athlete and a sweet-as-can-be nerd who all fall hard and fast in this steamy story.

loved it
I absolutely adored this story, it touched on some dark topics so definitely wasn’t the easiest of reads but the way each of the main characters fall for and dote on our fmc was so lovely. They handled the darker themes of this book so perfectly.

This book deals with some really intense themes with the FMC's backstory so it is definitely not for the feint hearted, that said I really liked the MMCs and the meet-cute that brought them together. All the MMC's brought something different to the table and gave our FMC what she needed to heal and learn that her past does not define her
