I really enjoyed this book I enjoyed the connections between the characters, the differences in the main male characters and how their relationships worked. Nicolette was really likeable you felt for her and wanted to be her friend. A really easy read with spice for this why choose romance!

EDIT: I knew when I enjoyed this that I really shouldn’t enjoy it. Maybe it was the perfect fit for my mood and I appreciate a terrible and smutty quick read sometimes. But then I read a different novel by this author and the time line and other errors in that story were so wrong that it felt very AI. I don’t know for a fact but come on, a basic read through would catch these problems. It doesn’t change the fact I enjoyed this one when I read it but it changes how I feel about it when I’m questioning the author

MFMMM - this was almost guilty enjoyment, where I felt I aught not to be. Like I don’t know why I’m entertained but I am. Lots of caretaking, wounded bird FMC

Nicolette’s story is one rooted in survival, but it quickly evolves into something far more complex and emotionally charged. The novel introduces a heroine shaped by trauma, someone determined to rebuild her life on her own terms.

The dynamic between Nicolette and Gideon is compelling from the start. His intensity and single-minded focus contrast nicely with her guarded nature, creating a push-and-pull that drives much of the early emotional tension.

The introduction of Alex shifts the tone in an interesting way. His charisma and outward confidence balance Gideon’s intensity, and his loyalty adds depth to what could have been a more superficial “love triangle” setup.

There’s a sense that his story runs deeper than what’s immediately visible, making his interactions with Nicolette some of the most charged moments in the narrative.

I enjoyed this one. The story is on the heavier side so keep the TWs in mind when considering this book. My main gripe is that she was only with 2 out of 3 of the MCs for a majority of this book. It took the 3rd guy a while to get his head out of his ass and confess his feelings. Because of that, it doesn’t really feel like we got enough view into the relationship dynamics between all 4 of the MCs.

Awesome.

I loved Nicolette, how she was so powerful, strong, yet kind and gentle. Everything about her was so inspiring. The men. Drool worthy. They were everything she needed and more. I enjoyed this "why choose" "touch her and d!e" very much. It had heart, grit and story, and not to mention spice!

I absolutely adored this story, it touched on some dark topics so definitely wasn’t the easiest of reads but the way each of the main characters fall for and dote on our fmc was so lovely. They handled the darker themes of this book so perfectly.

Nicolette is a very cozy read and a great palate cleanser before I dive back into fantasy. I enjoyed that this one had three men! Fantasy tends to be my preferred but when I come up for air, Carrie Ward's books are perfect to remind me of "real life".

This book deals with some really intense themes with the FMC's backstory so it is definitely not for the feint hearted, that said I really liked the MMCs and the meet-cute that brought them together. All the MMC's brought something different to the table and gave our FMC what she needed to heal and learn that her past does not define her
