It was the last thing Elina’s sister said to her before the werewolves dragged her into the dark.
Her heart cracked clean in half that night. One part shattered by the loss sister. The other forever lost as her friend barrelled into the darkness to save her.
He never came back.
Neither did Elina—at least not the girl they knew.
She became the Hound Hunter.

Can past feelings become new beginnings?
Or will her oath of vengeance cost her the last piece of her heart?
To Hunt the Huntedis a dark, character-driven paranormal romantic novella filled with action, grief, and slow-burning spice. Perfect for readers who love complex heroines, morally gray heroes, and but dark cozy tales about what happens when who you love becomes what you hate…
Hunter X Hunted, second chance romance, he falls first, mates, soft magic worldbuilding, bonus MMC POVs!
If you want something short but something that packs EVERYTHING in it, please read this. I adored the additions made to the story because in less than 150 pages, Divinity has truly captured every element perfectly!
You get depth, world building, backstory, relationships, spice, etc and it’s so well done.
If you love paranormal romances, consider devouring this just as I did. Elina and Darren will become your favorite MCs I promise 🤭
I absolutely DEVOURED this book! The descriptive writing and plot were both amazing and I found myself giddy to pick up my kindle to get back to reading.
"There isn't a part of my flesh that doesn't already belong to you. Carve out my very soul if it would bring you closer to peace." Darren the man that you are!
This book was such a fun, fast, and spicy read! It left me wanting more!
Elina is the Hound Hunter - killing werewolves who are linked to her sister's murder. The chapters where she is actively on the hunt are paced out well and left my heart racing. Especially as the balance between hunting and being hunted tip in both directions.
When she reconnects with Darren, she has every right to be skeptical of him. But he has always had eyes for her! I am glad I chose "The Backstory Lover" reading order because it made me love him even more.
I cannot wait until the next book after that cliffhanger!
This is a perfect novella for fans of fated mates and A/B/O dynamics (Yes, it has 🪢)
“I couldn’t face you—not like that—not when I became the very thing that took the person you loved the most away from you… Not when I became a danger to you.”
Oh, Darren 😩 I love me a good paranormal romance, especially between a werewolf & its hunter. I’m only mad this wasn’t a full blown novel as I wanted more of Elina & Darren! The way he yearns. The way he knew she was his amoriei. I just needed more of them. Loved the dynamic & found family with Darren & his pack also. You can feel the sincerity & love with their bonds through Divinity’s writing. If you need something quick, easy to ready, but still has a lot of depth, I definitely recommend this novella. Can’t wait for the next installment!
I really enjoyed this book! The author gave us an option to read “out of order” if we wanted and I refused, instead read it exactly how she wrote it and I think I appreciated the story even more. The YEEAARRRNINGGGGG of the MMC was so delicious.
The author’s writing style is exquisite, if I wasn’t highlighting words to look up their meaning (I love when a writer makes me do that btw) I was getting engrossed in the emotions, the scenes, the memories. Yes there were a few instances where the tense of the story was disjointed and unfortunately it was those moments that disrupted the narration and pulled me out of the story briefly - but still a great read!
If you enjoy: - FMC rage - fated mates - found family - sisterhood
"This man-this familiar stranger knows me better than anyone in this realm, and to be known is to be hunted by a different kind of dagger."
Cute. There was action until there wasn't. Grief, romance, and bites here and there. The short read started off good with balance but fell into romance with the ending leaving me wanting to know what is next on the hunting side not just the love interest. I did enjoy both the main characters and the supporting wolves who brought humor and a family to what both Elina and Darren were missing. Also, now that Elina is more of a bad ass, what happens next ...
P.S. Darren knitting and leaving outfits for Elian was everything!!!
“The low pitch of his voice is not just a sound—I can feel it, vibrating from his chest into mine. Something yawns to life inside me—an answer to the tug. A want revived from the ruins of time.”
To Hunt The Hunted - Divinity Rae ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
This was truly such a good time. It’s a quick novella, but Divinity still managed to build relationships and character without it feeling rushed. I need so much more time with Elina and Darren. 😩 The way this man yearns. UGH. I highlighted the hell out of his monologues. We love a down bad man. 🤭
i was in a mood for a little paranormal treat and let me tell you this delivered exactly that!!
it's a fast paced novella but still full of so much and i feel like we only scratched the surface. i want to specially mention the backstories, the world and the way emotions were shown: real and beautiful. grief as a theme always gets me 🥹
it's been a while since i've read paranormal romance but the story was really easy to get in to.
i ate this up so if it wasn't clear, would recommend 🫶🏻

My thoughts: I really enjoyed this novella. I loved uncovering the history between Elina and Darren. It was an adventurous, spicy, and captivating tale. I need more of their story because it did end on kind of a cliffhanger.
I was hooked and drawn into this story right from the very beginning. The world felt very vivid and I want to spend more time in it. The characters were richly developed in just a short amount of time. I loved all their banter! I’m really interested to read more from these characters and in this world!
I loved this novella! First off I am a werewolf girlie give me all the werewolves always! The banter in this book ate! I was kicking my feet and giggling! The found family vibes are awesome! I laughed so hard and smiled! I mean our MMC knits as a fiber artist I am absolutely obsessed with this! I can't wait to see what other works Divinity will bring into the world and share with us!
I'd like to thank the moment to thank the high powers that supernatural creatures is FINALLY coming back to books. Especially more featuring BIPOC leads and BIPOC supernatural creatures.
This one it's a tale old as time. She's a hunter, he's the hunted. The bond is there. Tension is there, resulting in a good time
Been following this author as a fellow reader and lover of fantasy, since COVID days. Now here she is blessing us with a book, sharing her ideas and stories, and giving us new characters to love. I appreciate all who put their work out there for public consumption. I hope Divinity continues to shine and allow us a peak into her light.
Divinity’s writing is pure intention—packed with incredible depth and love. To Hunt the Hunted is the ultimate paranormal romance 'gateway drug' that leaves you craving more long after the final page. A stunning, high-impact novella debut!
I loved this little novella! Though it's short, it's packed with so much that it left me wanting more. I can't wait to see what Divinity Rae brings next for these characters!
My fav quote, “You know this whole time I thought you were a boring gran trapped in an alpha’s body.”
