Christmas at the Cosy Cornish Inn

Ten years ago, Isabella Fox shared one unforgettable night with a stranger. The plan was to arrange to meet again but when weeks passed and she heard nothing from him, she was left heartbroken. Disappointed, she poured all her energy into writing timeslip romances.

Now a bestselling romance author writing as Bella Fox, Isabella no longer believes in love . . . or Christmas. After a painful breakup and a crippling case of writer's block, she escapes to the cosy Cornish village of Polcarrow, hoping the sea air will help her write again. Instead, she finds twinkling lights, festive traditions, a haunted pub . . . and Aidan, the man she never forgot.

As winter closes in and inspiration begins to stir, old sparks reignite and long-buried truths come to light. But with past heartbreaks, difficult choices, and Christmas fast approaching, Isabella must decide whether to return to the life she left behind - or finally believe in second chances.

A heart-warming romantic cosy read filled with village charm, festive magic, and a love story that refuses to stay in the past. Perfect for fans of Milly Johnson and Jo Thomas.

‘Some people say Polcarrow is magic. It gives you exactly what you didn’t realise you needed.’

This is exactly how I feel about the beautiful Cornish village of Polcarrow! This is the second book I’ve read in this series and both have had me desperate to visit and grab a coffee and cream tea from Lola’s cafe! Once again the village and its other residents are a huge part of what makes this story, and this time I loved seeing them get ready for Christmas throughout December.

Author Bella is visiting Polcarrow after her relationship ends badly and she needs an escape from her life and writers block. Once a huge Christmas lover, this time of year is now particularly hard for her. What she doesn’t expect is to bump into Aidan- a man she spent a wonderful weekend with 5 years ago who then never called her afterward. But why didn’t he call? And can they reconcile?

This was a lovely easy read, and felt very festive. Aidan frustrated me at times and some of their miscommunication felt like they were going round in circles so did get a little repetitive. Mimi the dog was an excellent side character! I really like this author’s writing style too- it flows nicely and is very easy to read.

Thank you very much to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

I was so excited to be heading back to Polcarrow, I love this fictional village & I didn't want it to end.

This is a gorgeous cosy & romantic read & the residents of this village certainly know how to create lots of festive magic!

I think any writer with writers block would find inspiration there just like Bella did.

💭 I know I'd love to be sitting in Lola's cafe looking out to sea with a steaming mug of tea & a pile of mince pies to keep me going while I got the next few hundred words down (or any words down) lol 😆

This book is part of a series but all books can be read as stand alone & I highly recommend a little pre order now & then when it arrives next Thursday it will be a surprise lol

Thanks Jenny for another wonderful story💫
