When Callan Hunt arrived at Ryemont High senior year, I couldn’t have predicted the hot Irish football player would become my everything … and end up breaking my heart.
College and dreams of a career in interior design were my sole focus until my new neighbor bulldozed his way into my life.
Callan had ambitions too. He planned to leave Vermont after graduation to pursue his dream of playing for an English Premier League club.
We weren’t looking for love, but fate had other plans.
When Callan was scouted during our freshman year of college, I couldn’t have been prouder.
Until everything came crashing down in one crippling blow.
I was devastated, and it took years to recover.
After finally moving on from the heartache of my past, I now have a successful career and a billionaire CEO fiancé.
Then my first love reappears.
Callan says it’s time I learned the truth about that night.
He claims he’s never stopped loving me and vows to fight for me in a way he couldn’t before. He seems determined to keep every promise he ever made me, but how is it possible after everything that’s happened?
Now, I’m torn … torn between my fiancé—the man who resurrected my faith in love—and the man who still owns a significant part of my heart.

I am so in love with these two! You asked for another hot Irish MMC and I've delivered. Astrid and Callan do not make the journey easy, but the HEA is so worth the emotional turmoil. I've missed writing this kind of angsty romance!
Also, this book introduces the H from my new billionaire romance series.
I hate when it comes to love triangles authors ALWAYS make the other MMC randomly become a jerk so they can “choose” easier! Astrid said herself that Sean’s behavior came out of nowhere, he’s always been loving to her than he meets Calum then BAM he’s suddenly a asshole who insults her, embarrasses her and doesn’t trust her he randomly became emotionally abusive so Astrid could go back to Callum cause in my opinion she wouldn’t have ended up with him otherwise. Also this shouldn’t be considered a second chance romance like 75% of this book is the past then the last 20-30% is second chance it was more of a 3rd act break up than anything else. Also callum didn’t redeem himself to me I would’ve preferred them just being friends or nothing at all cause I wasn’t buying he loved her the entire time they were apart, the only reason this isn’t a 1 star is cause she slept with other people
Also the summary is VERY misleading, it implies he actually fights for and grovels to win her back knowing she has a fiance! “Then my first love reappears. Callan says it's time I learned the truth about that night. He claims he's never stopped loving me and vows to fight for me in a way he couldn't before. He seems determined to keep every promise he ever made me, but how is it possible after everything that's happened?” Does that not sound like he was gonna fight for her the second they reunite? And yet he doesn’t fight at all his “fighting” happened during the last 3 chapters and that’s only cause her engagement ended plus we don’t get any actual fight he asks her out and she eventually says yes after being newly single for like 2 days

This book is super long. It’s broken up into two parts, the first part being when Astrid and Callan meet and get together in High School. I felt this got dragged out. Understandably, there was a lot of background that was needed as well as time for their romance to flourish. However, there could’ve been some cuts.
And oh my god…it’s sooo angsty! Not a new scenario and honestly I wish the author would’ve gone further but I think it satisfied my addiction for a little while.
The second part is where all the drama happens…and some is unrealistic to say the least. But I did like how everything worked out even if I felt the ending was rushed.
I absolutely adored Callan and Astrid. Their connection was so strong. Their attraction was 🔥🔥🔥. I loved how he much respected her. Just watching their love unfurl was such a treat.
Not gonna lie, there was one character that just couldn’t connect too, and oh boy did they prove me right. My JAW DROPPED in absolute shock at things they did!
Great ready to feel ALL the feels, cause Siobhan pulls you through them all. You will swoon, your heart will ache, you’ll get frustrated, your jaw will drop.
❤️ First Love ❤️ Second Chance ❤️ Small Town ❤️ Love Triangle ❤️ Fake Dating ❤️ Right Person, Wrong Time
ANOTHER IRISH MAN??? I was locked in immediately. 😍
I’m such a huge fan of Siobhan, so I expected angst, but this was full-blown, years-spanning of emotional destruction. Callan and Astrid start with meddling moms, neighbors-to-everything energy, and the classic “we’re not getting involved” lie that lasts approximately five minutes. The fake dating? Chaos. The jealousy? Delicious. The Spider-Man kiss and the Claddagh moments? I was gone. 😩
And then outside forces completely wreck them. 😡
This isn’t a simple breakup. It’s secrets, manipulation, pride, trauma, and years of heartbreak layered on top of each other. There were multiple times I had to pause because I was so mad. There is one character I hated with my whole chest 🤬🤬🤬🤬and I’m just going to say I had a weird feeling early on and should’ve trusted my instincts.
The “right person, wrong time” trope is used to inflict maximum emotional damage here. Watching them try to move on while clearly never being over each other? Brutal. And when the truth finally starts unraveling, it hits hard.
Callan especially surprised me. There’s depth to his pain that makes the second chance feel earned instead of convenient. The tension when they’re forced back into each other’s orbit as adults? So good. And can we talk about how horrible Sean is? 😑 Like goodbye sir and good riddance!
Is this dramatic? Absolutely. Is it messy and high-stakes? Yes. Did I eat it up anyway? 100%.
That HEA felt hard-won, and after everything they survived, I needed it. 🥹
If you love angsty, first-love-never-dies romance that spans years and tests your emotional stability, this one will wreck you.
“You’re not a distraction, and I have room in my heart for two great loves.”
I’m just going to dive straight into this review. If you pick this up, please be mindful of the content and themes, as it explores some graphic and confronting situations that play out on page and in discussions.
I love Siobhan’s writing and this absolutely delivered. The way she tells a story takes you on a complete emotional rollercoaster and that’s one of my favourite things to experience as a reader. Watching two characters who are clearly meant to be together face tough, heartbreaking challenges, yet somehow find their way back to each other, just does it for me.
I love Astrid and Callan so much they deserve the world. My heart aches for the time they lost, but I can understand the choices that were made and why everything unfolded the way it did. Roni, Callan’s mum, was such a beautiful soul and a standout side character for me. She truly added something special to the story.
This is very character-driven with an intense, gripping plotline. Every time something happened, I found myself running through three different scenarios in my head, trying to guess how it would play out. Sometimes I was right but not all the time. A story that makes you think, question, and theorise is always a win for me.
I will say, at around 15%, I clocked who would be a problem. The hatred I feel for a certain character makes me want to scream.
If you love angsty, soulmate story that hurt before they heal you need to pick this up I highly recommend.

Siobhan has done it again! Let me tell you, this book absolutely put me through it. I made an effort to enjoy the happy while it lasted because I knew that when things crashed down, it would destroy me. But I was not expecting the reasons behind it or just how utterly devastating it would be. Every time I thought the worst of it had been revealed, it kept going. I just wanted to reach into this book and hug Astrid... and throat punch Callan. And the one behind it all was truly one of the most vile, evil forces. I would not wish them on my worst enemy. I was not sure anyone would recover and heal from all that. But that ending was everything, and I truly appreciate the included related resources and information. This book was amazing and will stick with me.
The first half of this book began wonderfully and ended horribly. The whole vibe of the book was rough. The writing style felt rushed and a bit messy. I loved the concept of the book, but I feel like it was a miss. The rushing of the plot didn’t flow. The second half of the book tried to redeem the book but again, was too rushed. It felt overall messy.
What can I tell you about this story? Do you like having your heart breaked? And then squashed? And like that wasn't enough, totally pulverized? Than you should totally and indisputably read this book.
I’ll be honest: I figured out the main plot twist pretty early on. But honestly? It didn’t matter, It was totally worth the journey. I had so many mixed and strong feelings while reading it. It was freaking addictive, I genuinely couldn’t put it down.
“I will only have one girlfriend in my life – the woman I’m going to marry.”
Astrid and Callan? I freaking love them. They’re the kind of couple that feels inevitable and watching them lose years of their lives to circumstances, and painful choices was almost unbearable. At one point, the angst hurt so much that I questioned whether I even wanted them to end up together… because my heart adores crying over fictional characters but there is a limit to how much sobbing and cursing a reader can take.
“You’re not a distraction, and I have room in my heart for two great loves.”
The timeline was beautifully executed. I felt like watching their all lives pass right through my eyes.
“It was always supposed to be me.”
The side characters? Flawless... And I’m already excited to dive into the Devlin Brothers’ stories.
So, if by any chance you're reading this review, and you love angsty, emotional second-chance romances that span years and test the limits of love, this one is for you. Just blindly grab this book, I highly recommend it.
If you’re in the mood for: ✨ Second chance romance ✨ Friends to lovers ✨ High school sweethearts ✨ Irish football player ✨ Small town vibes ✨ Forced proximity ✨ All the angst Then just pick this up and let it ruin you.
⚠️ Don't forget to check the trigger warnings before reading;
Oh my gosh, what a wild ride. I am not going to be specific but I was gobsmacked. You really don't see it coming.
It starts out sweet. Astrid is a sweet girl who loves her family. She's a great student and has a great group of friends. She just recently lost her grandmother and broke up earlier with her ex.
A new neighbor moves in next door, Callan. He is NOT happy to have moved. He believes he's lost his chance to play professional soccer. And he's made a big splash at school with his good looks and his talent on the soccer field.
To keep more focus on soccer he makes an agreement with Astrid. Fake dating will keep the girls from bothering him and keep her ex from bothering her.
But they slowly realize that fake dating isnt all its cracked up to be when real feelings start peeping in. Can something that starts out as fake become real?
And they're so connected. So connected that when it appears its broken up, its a dang shock. It slowly came about, I didnt know what was what.
We get to the future and Astrid has a very rich fiancée. This guy is totally I get what a I want, when I want. Astrid has had to heal. What broke her really broke her. And Callan pops up. Wanting to explain himself and what happened all those years ago. Its really complicated now. She's happy and doesn't want to go backwards.
I was so shocked. And when you think you can't be shocked anymore you get even more shocked. WILD. Loved every bit of it.
I have no idea where to start, or what to say and not spoil anything.
This story definitely went in ways I was not expecting. But in true Siobhan fashion, she knows how to deliver the angst and emotions while keeping the reader fully engaged the entire time.
I really enjoyed how Siobhan told this story in two parts. Astrid and Callahan's story starts off when they are both seniors in high school and he just moved to the area from Ireland. We get to see their relationship go from friends to more and how explosive their chemistry is - not just physically, but emotionally. We get to see them move into their college years and start achieving their dreams - until everything is shattered in an instant.
The second part is them years later as adults and in their new lives. They unexpectedly come face to face at a meeting and things go just as one would expect after their lives are irrevocably shattered. All I will say is that Callahan not only shows Astrid how much he still respects her by not interfering in her life, but he will always fight for her, no matter what.
Astrid and Callahan's story is an emotional journey that will keep you at the edge of your seat the entire time. There will be tears, curses and smiles throughout it all and it will be worth every emotional whiplash.
Siobhan Davis doesn’t just write books she emotionally destroys you and dares you to thank her for it. This one is long, intense, and absolutely demands that you go in blind. Trust the process, trust the author, and prepare to be wrecked.
The angst is thick, the passion is consuming, and the pain cuts deep. Every emotion is dialed all the way up, and just when you think you know where the story is going … boom! That plot twist hits like a punch to the chest. I was stressed, obsessed, and fully along for the ride.
Raw, addictive, heartbreaking, and impossible to put down. Another flawless five-star read from an author who never misses.
📚 This was a friends to lovers and second chance — but instead of relying on the usual time jumps to fill in the past, we get to LIVE every single moment. The slow shift from friendship to something deeper. First love. First heartbreak. Every moment was so carefully detailed and thought through that it actually started to feel like it was yours. This is what happens when an author truly invests time in their characters. You don’t just read about them — you LIVE them. I’m unwell and I loved every devastating second of it.
𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 multiple storylines from side characters, slow-burning angst, unexpected plot twists, found family, high chemistry, all-the-feels, and soulmates who are meant to be.
Siobhan Davis has a rare talent for taking your heart in her hands, squeezing it until you can barely breathe, and somehow making you grateful for the experience. This story is long, layered, and emotionally intense. It is absolutely one you should go into blind. Trust her. Let her unfold it the way she intends.
The emotion in this book is not subtle. It is consuming. The love feels pure and electric. The heartbreak feels personal. Just when you think you understand where it is headed, the rug is pulled out from under you. I was completely immersed, tense and invested, turning pages like I could somehow soften the blow by getting there faster.
At its core, this is an epic, years-spanning love story about two people who never truly let each other go. Siobhan delivers angst, passion, friendship, betrayal, healing, and devotion in a way that feels deliberate and earned. Nothing is thrown in for shock value. Every twist has weight. Stakes. Intense impact. Every painful moment serves a purpose. Catalyzes and breaks.
Astrid and Callan’s story begins in that fragile, hopeful space of first love. She is kind, driven, and quietly strong. He is the brooding Irish soccer star whose entire future is mapped around the sport. Their fake dating arrangement is meant to solve practical problems, but it quickly becomes something tender and real. The early chapters capture that rush of being seventeen and falling hard. The hand brushes. The stolen kisses. The sense that you have found your person far earlier than you expected. And then it breaks.
The heartbreak is not surface level. It never is with Siobhan. It cuts deep. Their separation, shaped by ambition, distance, and devastating circumstances, leaves scars that follow them into adulthood. When the story picks up years later, both of them are changed. Astrid has rebuilt herself piece by piece and is trying to live a stable, predictable life. Callan carries his own regrets and secrets. Their reunion is charged with unresolved feelings, buried truths, and a history that refuses to stay in the past.
What makes this book so powerful is how fully Siobhan commits to the emotional fallout, to the wreckage and angst. The pain feels raw. The longing feels endless. These two love each other fiercely, even when life hardens them and pulls them in opposite directions. Watching them confront what happened and decide whether they can fight their way back to each other is both brutal and beautiful.
The twists genuinely shocked me. Every time I thought the worst had been revealed, there was more. I felt protective of Astrid. I was furious with Callan. I questioned whether either of them could ever truly heal. And yet the ending delivers something deeply satisfying. It is hard won. Every loose end is tied up. Every question is answered. The happily ever after feels deserved because of everything they endured to reach it. But oh my do they endure SO much.
This is an emotionally charged, second chance romance that does not hold back. It captures the magic of first love, the devastation of loss, and the quiet hope that some connections are strong enough to survive time and tragedy. It wrecked me, surprised me, and stayed with me long after I turned the final page.
A story love, heartbreak, and second chances that will leave you reeling as you read each chapter. “Never Stopped Loving You” is told in two parts and I love that it was not separated into two books because I would not have been able to wait for the second book. The main characters become friends and then lovers after one of them moves into the house next to the other. Their connection is instant, but they try to fight it at the beginning. I love that we got to know so much about the side characters and how much they fit into the story perfectly. You get high school sweethearts, big athletes on campus, best friends, love, heartbreak, betrayal and some suspense all rolled in this adventure. Without giving too much away the main characters must go through some growing pains to see their dreams come true. What would a story be without those pesky tribulations we all go through in real life. Great characters, believable scenes, a lot of drama, and intense kind of love.
This was everything I wanted it to be. It was gripping, it had tension, it had suspense, it had heartbreak, and it goes on my list of books I'd like to read again for the first time.
Siobhan has this ability to write characters that I fall head over heels for, and then she throws in something traumatic, breaks my heart, before slowly nurturing me back to sanity.
This fake relationship didn't stay fake for long, and the build-up to the moment it becomes real is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. She's falling, and he's falling, and there's all this falling, and one says they're falling, and the other says they agreed no falling and there's a rift and then there's grovelling, which just hits the spot. And that's all before the heartbreak comes!
I felt so many emotions reading this and loved every page. This is another book I will recommend again and again.
Thank you to Siobhan for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! I was blown away by Never Stopped Loving You; it had all the angst and twists I didn't see coming that I love. Set in the same world as the All Of Me duet, it was nice to see a nod to some of the previous characters who had ripped my angst-loving heart out.
Callan is an aspiring soccer (football) player aiming to make it into the Irish Football League. He has just moved to a small town in America, where his good looks and Irish accent have all the girls drooling over him. Astrid lives across the street from Callan and has her own aspirations in interior design, so both are focused on their future goals and have sworn off relationships, which are just distractions from those goals.
The storyline is told in two parts: starting in their senior year of high school and college, and then eight years later. I highly recommend going into the story blind so the twists unfold naturally. Raw and gritty at times, I loved the perseverance of these characters. I am giving Never Stopped Loving You a rating of 4.5/5 stars.
The writing itself is good, the prose flows well, the dialogue works, and technically it’s easy to read. Unfortunately, the plot development and pacing completely ruined the experience for me.
This book is nearly 800 pages long, yet most of that space is filled with repetitive, routine scenes that add very little to character growth or story progression. Meanwhile, the moments that actually matter, the emotional turning points felt rushed or underdeveloped.
The first breakup, for example, lacks emotional depth where it’s most needed. We don’t even get Colin’s POV during the immediate aftermath, only later when he has already processed his feelings. The same issue happens again with the second breakup, which arrives abruptly and never fully lands emotionally.
Ironically, the strongest part of the book is the best-friend betrayal twist. That storyline is genuinely well handled, subtle enough not to feel obvious at first, but convincing once revealed. Unfortunately, it’s the only plotline that feels carefully developed.
After the eight-year time jump, the pacing becomes even more uneven and rushed. With only a small portion of the book left, major revelations and explanations are delivered quickly and feel confusing rather than impactful. The fiancé storyline is highly predictable, and the emotional resolutions fall flat despite the heavy drama involved.
This story might have worked far better as two separate books, allowing important emotional beats room to breathe instead of being rushed while less important scenes drag on.
Another amazing read from Siobhan and another Irish book boyfriend you can't help fall in love with.
Astrid & Callan are the epitome of meant to be and being pulled together despite their resistance. But let's be real, it's never that simple and as usual with Siobhan we have to remember to trust the process 👏
She is the queen at character building and intricate plots that all tie together and this is just another example of that.
My only reason for a dropped star rating is I think this would have been better as a separated duet rather than two parts in one book. I would have liked to have seen the second part fleshed out a little more and think it would have helped with keeping the pacing right. But thats just my opinion.
Doesn't take away that this is a fantastic read and I can see how this section of the author's world could grow with stories of supporting characters... Travis I'm looking at you 👀
Never Stopped Loving You HAS FINALLY FILLED THE VOID IVE HAD SINCE Say I’m The One! It wrecked me in the best way. This emotional, angsty second-chance romance hits SO HARD — first love, heartbreak, closure, and that ache you never knew could still be there years later.
This book had all sorts of goodies: fake dating, first love, devastating heartbreak, hard-earned reunion. The chemistry was slow, real, and deeply emotional, and the truth about what tore them apart had me gasping.
If you love soul-deep second-chance romance with love that truly never dies, this one will steal your heart (and leave you reaching for tissues). DON’T START IT LATE AT NIGHT!! IM STILL RECOVERING FROM THR LOSS OF SLEEP!
Received an ARC of this book and I was so excited. The All of Me series if one of my top 5 favorite reads of all time, so when I was chosen to receive an ARC for a Siobhan Davis book I fangirled a bit, I may have even screamed a little...lol.
Never Stopped Loving You has all of the same feels! Angst, young love, drama, rage, sadness, romance (seriously where are these guys?). I also love when I learn something new in a book, I can now say cuss words in Swedish...LOL! I really did love this story and would probably have finished it in a day or two if I didn't have to work. Plus it's so much read, you want to give it your full attention and it's a LOT of story. I'd love to see a physical copy cuz I bet she's THICK!
soooo. I don't know how to rate it actually. it's a very long book and the first part focuses on high school - college.
It's one of the few books that has a man raped by a woman that resulted in pregnancy. It's also one of the few books where the second chance and acceptance of the daughter isn't super easy and I appreciate that the author made the FMC struggle with his daughter.
I think what bothered me the most was how naive and stupid can someone be to let the "best friend" be above their boyfriend. She even let her stay in his house when he has mentioned multiple times he wasn't comfortable or happy with that decision. Imagine what would happen if the roles were reversed.
I'm glad that she wasn't celibate after their breakup and I think the author handled his sex life quite well. He tried moving on after a couple of years having a sex fest for a few months but then he stayed celibate. It's not easy to move past such a horrible experience.
Difficult storyline but with a happy ending.

Woah!! Just freaking woah! Thiswas my first read from this author and will definitely not be the last.
The villain of this story isn’t someone you will think of at once but will have you in such a rage it’s not even funny. Without giving anything away you need to dig into this book to find out what I mean.
This book is a freaking roller coaster ride of emotions for sure, I loved reading the build up with Astrid and Callan as well as the people around them from an early age. Their chemistry and connection was out of this world and I was rooting for them sense day one. It was along journey for them but I was so happy on the end that they had the HEA they truly deserved after everything that had been going on for them.
What. The. Heck. Did. I. Just. Read? Once again, Siobhan does it again. She takes the most beautiful love story and tears it up to shreds. The villain in this story was disguised as the trauma burdened, needy best friend, who couldn’t let Callan get away. This story had so many twists and turns that I never saw coming. My heart shattered for Astrid and Callan because the suffered greatly. I’m so glad that they were able to get their HEA, even though it involved a lot more trauma. Wow. Great job, Siobhan. Once again, I adored this story.

This book is a complete rollercoaster. First things first, please check trigger warnings as this story deals with MANY heavy topics.
I really loved Astrid and Callan. I love that we got to see all of their relationship. From beginning to end. All the good, the bad and the ugly. Callan is the sweetest piece of cake ever. A romantic that YEARNS.
Without going into too much detail (because that will spoil everything) this story has so many twists and turns. It’s really unfortunate what happens, but I love that eventually they find their way back to each other.
In typical Siobhan Davis fashion, Never Stopped Loving You will have you gripped from the first page and take you on a journey that will stay with you for a long time.
My only complaint is that about 70ish percent of this book is what happened in the past. I do wish we got so much more of Astrid and Callan in present time. More of them actually being together. Everything happened so fast at the end so I was a little surprised when the book was over and we didn’t have a bit more of them being happy together.
Overall, enjoyed this one.
Thank you to the author and The Author Agency for an early copy of this book in exchange for a review.
I was lucky enough to get to read this as an ARC! It was so good as all her books it was written so well and the story line was so good! It was emotional, funny, serious everything I want in a book!
