THE CURSE OF A SON, THE DESTINY OF A MOTHERThe son returns. With Aki back at her side, Ira has regained a fragment of her still-shrouded past. But disquieting shadows yet cling to Aki, forcing Ira to contend with the dreadful truth behind her son’s condition. The hunter flees. Fearing a mother’s wrath, Yionas absconds with components of great import stolen from each member of the group. Ira, Eudo, and Aki give chase, arriving in Amirad, the city of masks and lies. But lo, this is the domain of Norn the Masker―guardian, puppeteer, and impresario of a theater most unsettling. The curtain rises. As Ira takes the stage, a curious Norn tempts the hero who sacrificed her past with the very memories that could make her whole once more. However, everything comes at a price, and those who make deals in Amirad rarely show their true face…
Ira and Eudo continue their quest to recover Ira's memories, but what she finds reveals truths she's not ready to face. Add in some surprising deaths, a couple revelations that hit harder than expected, and a creepy city full of puppets, and here's me wishing this came out more often.
