This books was such a sweet and cute read. I love a story about a matchmaker struggling with his/her own match. Claudia and Alex have a history that makes working together a challenge. These two are great characters on their own and even better together. Their interactions are great for the story and so fun to read. I appreciated the plus size representation, especially in a setting where looks are at the forefront. It’s not often this is given equal footing and not in a condescending or judgmental manner. Claudia tended to pull away when people got close due to insecurities from previous body shaming issues. Alex really struggled to find the words to express his emotions. It was endearing seeing these two interact with each other and other characters. They had so much chemistry and their connection felt so very genuine. I loved seeing them together and the ending was really satisfying. It was exactly what these two deserved and what we as readers needed.
This is the second book in the series and the first I’ve read. It’s a light, funny, clean read and I enjoyed it very much. The story is told from the point of view of Claudia, and includes the main characters from the first book in the series about a dating app startup. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the fixation on Claudia’s size and food intake. It seemed to border on the obsessive. Other than that, Claudia and Alex were absolutely charming and endearing, and their mishaps were relatable and funny. I highly recommend this to fans of rom coms with quirky leads and I’m very much hoping the author writes more in the series. Pick this one up - you won’t regret it!
Book 2 of The Matchmaker Files series. Can be read as a standalone.
'A sweet, funny, slow-burn romcom about nerds, algorithms, and the matchmaker who meets her match.'
The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and quirky and funny and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

MC: Claudia Morales and Alex Levin, First person Claudia's POV, 4/5 stars
This was a good fun read. I loved that Claudia was able to take his very technical outputs and reconfigure them into layman's terms. I liked Claudia and loved Alex - the conversations between the two always made me smile. I don't know, he just had a way about him - taking her doubts about herself and shutting them down with matter of fact truths that boosted her confidence. Overall, a good read about a matchmaker and a technology wiz.

I loved Emily and Adrian’s story in Book 1 of The Matchmaker Files and now it’s Claudia’s time to find her match. Yet, she is not actually looking for it. It was fun and entertaining read - well written and engaging, you can feel it and it makes you smile most of the time. Alex and Claudia are beautiful characters and you just feel for them. I love books of the author and every new one is pleasure to read.
