Virgin River meets The Love Hypothesis in this swoony closed-door romance. Perfect for readers who love witty banter, high chemistry, and slow-burn tension that will make you want to throw the book across the room.

Hope Elmswood has spent her entire life in a dental office, whether she wanted to or not.

A few months after graduating as a dental hygienist and preparing to submit her dental-school applications, she’s completely burned out. And after a frightening incident with her father’s neurotic dental associate, she realizes she has to get away from the dental world…now.

With nothing but a suitcase and a dream she’s never been allowed to chase, Hope flees to a small mountain town to stay in her brother’s off-grid survival cabin.

She’s finally going to find a job she doesn’t despise, with no dentist drama and no spit.

But her plans for a dental-free existence unravel when she literally runs into her handsome new neighbor, Jay Alarcón. At first, he seems harmless enough, until Hope discovers he just so happens to be the very thing she ran from: a dentist.

Hope wants absolutely nothing to do with her new neighbor. Dentists are her personal villain origin story. But when a series of mishaps forces her to accept a job at his clinic and rent his accessory apartment, Hope starts to wonder if maybe not all dentists are the same.

As Hope confronts her anxiety and workplace trauma, she begins to wonder if healing and love might be possible after all.

Content Consideration: Love & Lidocaine touches on anxiety, workplace abuse, and includes a brief conversation about a parent who died by suicide (brief mention and non-graphic). There is also a short high-stress moment involving a car accident.

OH. MY. STARS. I haven’t read a book so fast as I have read this one in a very long time. This is deliciously written and remarkably fascinating in all the ways a story can be written. Love & Lidocaine is more than a romantic comedy with all the swoon. It’s a story of taking charge of your life, step by step, and learning to love and forgive no matter how messy life gets. It’s a masterpiece of a story, one extremely well done. This is a delightful rom com, yes, but an even more compelling storyline. Sweet romance, a small town, and paired with necessary suspense—you get more than you ever expected, all while staying within the margins of how a good book should go: wholesome, clean, and utterly adorable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

**Reviewer received an advance copy of the book.

Love and Lidocaine was my first book by Kendra Hope, and it absolutely will not be my last. I went into this story not knowing what to expect, and I was completely pulled in from the start.

The dynamic between the FMC, a dental hygienist, and the MMC, a dentist, created such a fun and unique backdrop for a romance. What I loved most, though, were the unexpected twists woven throughout the story. Just when I thought I knew where things were headed, something shifted that added so much thrill and emotional depth.

One of the standout elements for me was how anxiety was portrayed. It felt incredibly real and relatable. The story didn’t minimize it or gloss over how all-encompassing it can become. Instead, it showed the weight of it — and more importantly, the growth and progress the characters made in working through it. Watching that development unfold made the romance feel even more meaningful.

The instant spark between the characters was undeniable, but what made it compelling was that their relationship wasn’t easy. It was something they had to fight for. That tension, paired with emotional vulnerability, made their connection feel earned and authentic.

Overall, Love and Lidocaine was thrilling, heartfelt, and deeply relatable. If you enjoy romance with emotional depth, unexpected twists, and characters who truly grow, this one is worth the read.

Thank you Kendra for trusting me with an ARC on this book!

For being a newer author, Kendra doesn’t write like one. This easily fits amongst my shelves with Courtney Walsh, Cindy Steel, Jenny Proctor, and others. Kendra handled plenty of tough topics in this book with such grace, and kept it closed door while still keeping the swoon alive and well.

I loved being able to root for a female character like Hope who didn’t act helpless. She’s determined, after everything she’s faced, to still try. To face her fears, to start over. She also knows when it’s time to accept what’s right in front of her instead of let stubbornness win.

Jay as our MMC is easily likable as a confident and caring man, who truly has Hope’s best interest in mind. He’s bold, a little sassy, a little possessive in that only-book way we love, and has a pure heart. I very much appreciate reading a male character that is all green flags.

The supporting characters add enough depth without overtaking any part of the story, and with enough dialogue that you never feel like you barely know them.

I did not see the third act conflict coming, and I thought the resolve was very clever and realistic.

I was also surprised at how long the story was, and unfairly assumed there would be some fluff or droning internal monologue and I was happily wrong! The pace of this story felt perfect- enough detail and dialogue to make the read seem like a breeze.

I also appreciate that not every relationship was magically restored after the conflict came to light. I think it’s realistic that sometimes we go through situations that open others eyes after a long time, but that doesn’t immediately change how we interact or if we trust them. It also doesn’t mean that someone sees the light and wants to change. But she did a great job with giving an example of dialogue to help someone going through something similar- how to stand up for themselves and advocate their own boundaries while still holding out (get this) “hope” for the future.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I instagrammed all my favorite parts and lines to Kendra herself- but there were PLENTY. This will be a reread for me when it finally comes out!

Thank you, Kendra Hope, for trusting me with an ARC of this story. It was truly an honor to be part of your team, and I can’t wait to watch your journey unfold from here.

I discovered Love and Lidocaine when I came across Kendra Hope talking about it on Facebook and from the very beginning, I knew this wasn’t going to be your typical romance.
For starters the MMC is a dentist.
Yes. A dentist.
Not your usual dark and broody billionaire or tattooed mafia king but somehow Dr. Jay manages to be just as swoony. From the moment he gives Hope her nickname, I was hooked. He’s protective without being overbearing, possessive in that fictional-only way we love, and layered with just enough emotional depth to make your heart ache for him. Sweet, a little tragic, and fully book-boyfriend material.

And then there’s Hope.
Our girl has been through it. She carries fear and pain, but what stood out most to me was her quiet resilience. She doesn’t need to be loud to be strong her strength shows in the way she keeps going, keeps trying, keeps opening her heart even when it would be easier not to. Watching her journey unfold was one of the most rewarding parts of this story.

The pacing felt natural, the writing was engaging, and the side characters added so much life to the world without distracting from the central romance. It was one of those reads that felt fresh and different and somehow still gave me everything I want from a love story.

My only complaint is that it ended too soon. This may be Kendra Hope’s debut novel, but it certainly doesn’t read like a beginner’s work. If this is where she’s starting, I’m genuinely excited to see where she goes from here — because I will absolutely be reading whatever she writes next.

I received an Arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
First off I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Being in the dental field as a dental assistant it is always refreshing to have a dentist as the main love interest instead of your run of the mill general doctor.
I was immediately sucked in from page one and there were so many funny moments and anecdotes about life in a dental office.

“I stood in the center of the world’s most dysfunctional circus, otherwise known as Sunshine Dentistry, and declared my resignation like I was on a dramatic reality show. And if I were being completely honest, it felt like I was starring in one.
The crying child in Exam Room Four? Supporting cast. The guy with a freshly extracted molar and blood dripping down his chin? Background extra. Vicky, in her neck brace, swiveling like a robot? Absolute scene-stealer.”
After reading this opener I knew we were in for a treat!
This was such a cute, bubbly and funny read! It did have a slightly darker under element of abuse that helped give the reader intrigue into what made Hope so against the dental field.

Hope and Jay were cute from the beginning and you could instantly feel their chemistry. I loved that Jay was willing to put in the time and effort to get Hope comfortable being around him, with her reservations holding back.
Hope had to figure out what was best for her and when she felt strong enough she took matters into her own hands. Jay was so sweet and caring, willing to give Hope all the time in the world to figure out what she was ready for.

"Your date needs a dictionary," he murmured. "You don't just look great." There was a brief pause. "You're thoroughly breathtaking"”

The way the office was set up reminded me of my old office and is what I was envisioning while reading. The friendship that Hope developed with her coworkers Macey and Tyler really helped her feel more comfortable around the office again. And the best part was they wanted to be outside of work friends too!

All in all with every thing that Hope went through throughout this book, she was able to overcome her fears and anxiety to build not only her career, but lasting friendships and longtime love!

Now I just need some follow up books about Macey and Tyler and I will be a happy clam :)

Thank you so much Kendra Hope for the opportunity to be apart of your ARC team entrusting this book to me!

Love and Lidocaine may claim to be a “swoony romance” but don’t be fooled! This book is a romance, a mystery, a thriller- in short, it’s perfection.

Kendra Hope has nailed the banter, woo, yearn, and plot twists in a way that few can achieve.

I couldn’t put this book down and would honestly read it again in a heart beat.

After reading this I can honestly say that Kendra Hope will be an auto-buy author for me!

This was so exciting for me because this was my first ARC! And I couldn’t be happier about it; this was so cute. I genuinely enjoyed this book. Hope and Jay had such good banter and chemistry. There was some emotional depth and self growth that was nice to see. I loved how mature Jay was, I mean he was like 31, but I feel like a lot of MMCs don’t have a lot of emotional maturity and Jay did, so that was really refreshing. I thought he was very straightforward about his feelings for Hope, didn’t try to hide them or play games, he knew what he wanted. It was funny because some of the stuff that he would do or say, I could picture my husband doing or saying to me.

“‘I’m going to say something,’ he said quietly. ‘And I need you not to get mad.’” - definitely something my husband would say to me if I was upset.

He did keep a big secret from Hope, that I totally understand her being upset about, but i did feel like she blew it out of proportion a bit. I think if she would have heard Jay out and listened to his reasoning, it would have been resolved a lot quicker. She was a bit younger than Jay, Hope was only 24, but she lacked a lot of the emotional maturity that Jay had when it came to their relationship.

I did really enjoy the book and I didn’t want it to end! I feel so honored to be part of the ARC team and I’m excited to read more from Kendra Hope!

****SPOILERS BELOW****

If I were going to change 1 thing about the book, I wouldn’t have Hope go on a date with Tyler. I liked the idea of her going out with someone, but I just wish it hadn’t been Tyler. Maybe Tyler could have set Hope up with his cousin instead of trying to get him to go out with Macey (which led nowhere, so it didn’t need to be included imo). But I just didn’t like that she went out with Tyler because it made it extra awkward for me. Like they both worked at the clinic together, so Jay knew him and it just made it weird. I mean Tyler had to picker her up and drop her off at his boss’s house. And then after the date, she came home and told Jay about it and they basically made fun of Tyler, I know they weren’t trying to be mean, but it just added an extra layer of awkwardness and weirdness for me because they both worked with Tyler. And it was just weird that Jay was acting like a protective dad when Tyler came to pick Hope up and then whispered to Hope that her “date needed a dictionary” to better describe how she looked, and it’s like MAYBE it was a really awkward situation for him and he wanted to get out of it asap. Also, like, I’m sorry, but you hired this man to work in your clinic, like you know him pretty well, why are you being this weird??? Idk that whole situation just weirded me out. If it was literally anyone else but Tyler, all of that stuff I just criticized, would have been fine lol, but I digress.

I didn’t see the twist with Dr. Pike at the end coming. I thought it was a bit much, him kidnapping her and all, but it was still an interesting and added a little extra suspense to the book.

I also didn’t predict Jay knowing Hope’s dad, so that was a good twist. And I really didn’t think that her dad would have shown up at Jay’s house unannounced like that. That was crazy! An angry phone call, I was expecting, or him being at the CE conference, but not him showing up at Jay’s house.

Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the book so much, I didn’t want it to end. I just wanted to keep reading about Jay and Hope. This was definitely a swoony story, I meeeeean

“‘Does the way I talk to you make you nervous?’”

“‘Will you say my name again?’ … ‘Jay’ … His eyes closed, and then, as if he couldn’t stay upright any longer, he leaned forward, his forehead meeting my shoulder… ‘I don’t know how much longer I can stay away from you.’”

“‘Well then,’ he said evenly, shuffling his papers, ‘you just let me know when you’re ready for me to kiss you on this desk so you can finally forget what you’re so worked up about.’”

“He took another step, and this time he lifted his hand, resting it above my head, pressing his palm against the motel wall. ‘I’m not asking for your forgiveness right now. I’m only asking you to get in the truck before I lose my mind thinking about you in this place.’”

Love & Lidocaine was amazing! I did not want to put it down! I laughed, I cried, I gawked, I kicked my feet in excitement over the love story! It is relatable, funny, entertaining, swoony without being explicit, inspiring, well paced, and well written! The amount of pages I “bookmarked” whenever I came across something I loved is ridiculous! It has the perfect plot twists and the banter is so good! I found myself relating to the FMC quite a bit, and the MMC reminded me of my husband in certain aspects! There were a couple aspects that aren’t exactly my taste, like how the physical romance was a tad too sexually charged for me, but the book still remained closed door. I also loved the full circle aspect and that the mental health topics were handled well in the writing of this book!
I also appreciate the content warning in the beginning, as it is so important to make sure readers know what they’re getting into when dealing with sensitive topics in a book. The list of mental health resources at the end is also very considerate and helpful. It is very evident Kendra Hope cares for her readers! Due to her ability to write amazing stories without explicit content and her care for her readers, I will definitely be keeping myself updated on any more future works from her!
Kendra, thank you for entrusting me with the honor of being an early reader of your book! You poured your heart out in this project, and it is evident! I enjoyed it so much and am delighted I got to have this opportunity!

A big thank you to Kendra for my very first ARC copy of any book, and I am so happy this was my first!!

I am not big into contemporary romance. I am more of a romantasy/fantasy girly. But I can say without a doubt, this has gotten me to want to dive into contemporary romance.

I was drawn in instantly in the first chapter and the yearning and the “I just need them to get together already!” Feeling was so real but so good! The vulnerability of the FMC was very relatable and the development of relationships throughout really tug at my heart strings.

What also got me was, I am recovering from a toenail removal so that gave me a few good chuckles 😂

The writing just flowed and always left me with never wanting me to stop.

I needed to get out of my comfort zone with my typical reads but this has really opened a door for me.

I also appreciate the closed door romance! I am trying to get away from spice because it just really doesnt fit into my lifestyle and I just want all the swoon/yearning without explicit content and I was so happy this checked all those boxes!!

Any future books of Kendra’s will definitely be added to my TBR!

Kendra, thank-you so much for the opportunity to be on your ARC team, it was an honour!

I have been so excited to read this book since I saw teasers on Instagram and it did not disappoint. I love that there was so much chemistry and swoony moments and the book remained closed door. This book made me squeal and kick my feet and honestly I never wanted it to end, I purposely read this slowly because I wasn't ready for it to be over - I will definitely be doing a reread of this one (or many rereads).

I loved Kendra's writing style and honestly I knew from the first few pages this would be a 5 star read for me. The main characters Hope and Dr Jay were great - I loved their chemistry, tension and emotional connection. Jay was just perfect - the perfect balance of supportive, romantic and protective - I'm swooning so hard. I loved the banter between characters and the few twists and turns I wasn't expecting. I smiled the whole time and I'm still smiling thinking about it.

Add this to your list to read - you will not be disappointed. I was excited to pick it up based on what I knew of the setting beforehand, but it exceeded all expectations. I love, love, loved this!

I received this as an Advance Copy from the author in exchange for an honest review, and let me just say… this was my very first experience reading an ARC ever, and I am SO GLAD and grateful for this experience! Love & Lidocaine had me hooked from Chapter 1… it felt like walking into the middle of a workplace drama and I was already thinking “Oooh! Woah… what’s going on?” Yup… now I’m hooked and invested in the story. I loved everything about this book… the characters, the humor, the witty banter, the coziness of the setting, the furry marshmallow… and the perfectly swoony romance. I very much enjoyed that it was clean, with the perfect amount of steam that had me giddy. This was one of those books that had me up late into the night because I just had to keep reading! The story was very well written, and the flow and pacing was perfect. Miss Kendra Hope, you are one talented writer! I can’t wait for the release day of this book so I can get a physical copy and re-read it again and again. I am in love!

I really loved this book! Thank you Kendra for letting me be part of your ARC team!

I thought the characters were relatable and the story line was good with a twist and little bit of a thriller going on. It was nice that it was different than just your normal small town romance novels where you know exactly what to expect. I also loved that the characters were dental professionals. Being a hygienist myself, I was nice to see something written about a hygiene career. Everyone focuses on the medical field and people seem to forget that dental professionals go through just as much schooling to get to where they want to be. I felt like I could relate to a lot of how Hope felt with walking into a new job and the stress you face as a hygienist. But even if you don’t work in the dental field you will still enjoy this novel. It is a slow burn romance in a small town setting. What’s not to love?!
Based off of this novel I’m excited to see what else Kendra writes! I will definitely be reading her future books.

Favorite Quote:
“It’s impossible for me not to feel something for you. So I’m sorry if my feelings are bleeding into my actions, but that’s because I can barely contain them.” He reached up, his fist pressing against his chest. “So there’s the truth.”

The rollercoaster of emotions that I went through with Jay and Hope was insane and I would do it 100 times over again!!
ALL OF THE SMIRKING!!!! 😏
The nicknames that Jay would give Hope!! 😍🥹
So much smirking!!! 🫠🫠🫠
Jay is just a giant lovable teddy bear, and I love him for it! ☺️

This was an excellent read! I didn’t want to put it down and couldn’t wait to pick it back up again. It has been a while since I’ve felt that way about a book.

The story was compelling. The trauma, growth and trust the characters went through was perfect. I love that their stories weren’t just fluff, they had some grit. It made me relate to them much more. I appreciate that the author worked the conflicts the FMC was having toward redemption, but acknowledged that it wasn’t going to be an easy road.

The MMC was steadfast and patient. He was the perfect balance to the spitfire FMC whose world was turned upside down and is there supporting her as she is trying to figure it out. The banter and growth these two had was just right.

The side characters were also great, those supportive friends who make you laugh. We should all have those people in our lives.

There were twists I did not expect, dialogue that had me laughing out loud and moments that made me swoon. It certainly kept me on my toes. Love & Lidocaine is a great read! It is a book I would absolutely read over again.

This book was greatly anticipated and it did not let down. This book does handle some harder topics but it was a learning experience as well as not everyone experiences anxiety it the same way . I loved Hope’s character and it was wonderful to watch her grow as the book progressed. Dental girl is not the type field but I liked the change of pace and is a rare gem in the closed door book world. The side characters were perfectly complimentary to the fmc and brought her out to shine. The book is almost like a journey of closure as you can feel the real life experiences that come through. If you can’t go to therapy writing can be a way to vent and find closure . I liked the nicknames and other titles used though I did have to look up to find the meaning. Great job Kendra !!!.

Wow! This book was so fun! “Love and Lidocaine” is a contemporary closed door romance with a slow burn plot and a he falls first MCC. What I really appreciated about Kendra’s romance debut was the authenticity of the emotions she portrayed in her characters. As someone who deals with anxiety and understands panic attacks, I felt like I could relate to Hope’s struggles, but in a way that didn’t overwhelm me or stress me out. I will definitely be recommending this book to friends and family! Thank you, Kendra, for including me on your ARC team!

Breathtaking 😍 honestly she’s such a fabulous author. So much swooniness but nothing to skip… i recently flipped to closed-door romances because as my oldest is reading things, i don’t want my books to be something i need to hide… also i want to be able to recommend what I’m reading to anyone… and more… the longing in her story doesn’t leave you wanting more. It’s so good. And i typically reach for books i can listen to (i have zero time to read physical books typically) so i was nervous i wasn’t going to be able to finish this one… but i found myself reaching for it CONSTANTLY.

4.5 stars! This was an excellent read. Once I picked it up, I really didn’t want to put it down. I was drawn in immediately. I really enjoyed both main characters, Hope and Jay. Hope is kind of a mess, making her relatable and genuine. I really appreciated that Jay was direct and forthcoming. He was confident and straightforward with his feelings and wasn’t afraid to go out on a limb. The nod to thriller vibes was unexpected, and kept things interesting. I also enjoyed the sub-theme of friendship, Emily, Macey, and Tyler were great characters. Would definitely recommend! I will be looking for Kendra Hope’s next book for sure!

I was very excited for this book from the get go. But I was completely blown away with how amazing this book is. This is now one of my top favorite books and I would reread in a heartbeat.

I love how easy it was to get invested into the characters and how easy it is to love them!

This is definitely very swoony!!! Let me tell you, Jay had me SCREAMING!! 🥰

The relationships between the characters are so well depicted, you feel all the hurt, love, and friendship with them.

The story was very well written! The pacing was smooth, all the characters lined up and made sense, and easy to get invested into. This book had me feeling so many emotions and I loved every word of it.

I am so picky when it comes to romance and this book had me feeling some kind of way.
I love a FMC that shows growth and a golden retriever MMC.
This book had both of those things.
Some things I didn’t see coming and I love that we got a little suspense in this. I love a good romantic suspense.

Also- Spanish terms of endearment. Yes. Please. 👏

Thank you so much for letting me read this gem.

Kendra Hope has proven that the dental world is anything but boring and also apparently the perfect place for an all consuming, swoony, dreamy love. She's written the kind of main character who is achingly relatable in Hope. She battles anxiety, controlling parents and her own past trauma, all while learning to stand on her own two feet. It's messy and it's beautiful. and Jay, the older, protective, dentist, who's everything she thought she was running from but might just be everything she's supposed to be running to. His patience with and love for Hope is unmatched and i love it. listen, y'all, this one's messy, sweet, swoony, and tender. I highly recommend!

Thank you Kendra Hope for the gifted eARC copy of this book! All thoughts are my own.

I'm going to try to keep it reasonably short because I could go on and on about how much I loved this book! It was just so HUMAN and I loved the premise of dentistry-centric romance. So different!

Hope and Jay....ugh they just melt me into the ground. The push and pull between them, the ups and downs, the way he cares for her - supporting without being condescending, and the way she learns to be brave and give grace...I love them so much!

One of the best parts of this book was actually something the author chose to leave out. There was a kissing scene I thought she was gearing us up for. I wouldn't have minded it. But then we suddenly moved on. And in that moment I realized I actually appreciated that she recognized it was unnecessary. It would've been titillation just because, and would've been excessive. (If you read to the end of her acknowledgments, you'll discover the biggest reason I'm grateful for how she writes.) In a society of excess, appropriate restraint should always be applauded.

It's giving sizzling while staying closed door. It's giving assertive MMC without being aggressive. It's giving multiple fun versions of forced proximity. It's giving humor and growth and HEA. So go read it!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Well holy molar, this was my type 🦷

The flirting. The banter. The twists. The friendships. Just, yes.

I also really appreciated the portrayal of an anxious, overthinker because it felt very frustrating, but honest (I know because I am an anxious overthinker 😅).

📖: 1st person, single POV (Hope)
🌶️: kisses only
🤬: no foul language
⚠️: anxiety, workplace harassment

This book has everything and more. Tension, anxiety, thrill, trauma, love, abuse, a cute fluffy fur ball side character, dedication, self discovery, longing, betrayal and commitment; just to name a few. The swoon... it was so good!

This was my first time reading a contemporary romance and it did not disappoint. This is a well written, fast paced, clean romance. This book was giving Hallmark but better, edgier, and more realistic with what the main character was experiencing in her life (both with mental health and in her personal relationships).

I really appreciate how the author was able to keep it clean without making it cheesy/corny. The longing and yearning is heavy and beautiful in this book. This is a book I'd keep on my shelf and reread when I need a feel good book but also slap in the face with a powerful reminder to be brave, take chances, and to trust love.

*EDIT* I've reread this book a second time and it is even better than the first read. This is an absolutely delightful book. It deserves all the attention. This was the first contemporary romance I read and now that I've read a few more contemporary romances, they do not add up to the same level that L&L is. This is easily my favorite read in this genre.

Received an ARC copy for this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved the chemistry between the main leads and the cozy rom-com vibes. Hope was very relatable in her overthinking and anxious spirit. Jay was a great balance to Hope's character.

Fun and quick read.

I received this book as an ARC from the author. Thank you, Kendra!

This was an absolute gem of a book. I could have sat down and read it all in one sitting if life allowed. Once I started, I really didn’t want to stop! The characters. The growth. The tension. The CHEMISTRY. The suspense??? I’m here for all of it.

Am I going to be thinking about it every time I go to the dentist now? Probably yes. Am I going to buy a physical copy of the book when it’s released and reread it? Probably also yes.

“Love blinds us sometimes. It can be as intense as fear, or anger, or even anxiety. And sometimes they all tangle together if you’re unlucky enough.” -ch. 65
Wow!!! I ENJOYED this book! I rate it 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

First, I was lucky enough to be part of this arc team! Thank you! It has been an honor!

Second, Love & Lidocaine is a story of a young woman (Hope) who endured trauma in the workplace, as well lived a very controlled and governed life by her father.
Kendra Hope, the author of this story, did a a wonderful job of exploring how chronic and complex trauma can shape a person, their thoughts and beliefs of oneself, and how this can affect one’s actions. Anxiety is one form in which the main character shows how she was affected. But what was most beautiful in this story is the bravery she showed to make a change to the pattern of her abuse and the willingness to form a type of support group where she was able to start healing. Chapter 19 was one of my favorites for this display.

Third, the banter and flirting in this story were top level and I found myself grinning and smirking through most of those moments. It did take awhile to get to the admittance of their feelings for each other. It is a closed door romance, but some moments of the romance did seem a bit elementary compared to two adults in the mid twenty’s/ early thirties.
Overall I REALLY enjoyed this story and actually loved the insight to some dental lingo and procedures.
