wasn’t bad
Look it really wasn’t bad.
However he never explained to her she feel back in love without a explanation all the hurt she went trough it would of been great to see that side of it and for him to tell her rather than her to forgive and forget. It was ok I would probs give 2 stars because I did find it boring and felt like nothing really happened just the same thing over and over but I didn’t hate it so 3 stars.

62% DNF.
13 years Maverick was away from the “love of his life” Mabel. She’s not moved on, her attempt to move on four years after Maverick left gave her Ellie. A baby girl name Mabel and Maverick wanted to name their daughter together.
We’re told Mabel names her daughter Ellie, because it’s truly the only baby girl name she’s ever loved. Okay, fair. But for Maverick to waltz back into the lives of everyone he left behind???? WTF!
We find out he kept in contact with his brother and mother. We’re told he got into business school. So why did Mabel not know that?? Him leaving doesn’t seem like a big deal, only that it was poorly communicated.
Since his return, he has panic attacks??? Uh no empathy there cause it literally does not make any sense.
Now this is where I had to toss the book and DNF — 4th of July party.. after the party Mabel goes out to her and Maverick’s field, like every other year. Maverick goes running after her. It’s this big thing apparently that Ellie doesn’t have a Dad. Like it was ever Maverick’s business?? No it was not. The PRIME TIME for Maverick to explain himself was page 255. “I sTaYeD iN cAlEfOrNiA” bro.. I would not accept that. Then Mabel gives in and they start making out.. the chapter starts to go smutty and.. argh I couldn’t even read it. Girl, if my greatest love left abruptly and my life kept going.. I would not give in so bloody easily. Put up a fight! Demand to know why he left BEFORE making up??

From the very first page of Running with the Herd by SE Michalitsianos, I was completely hooked. The writing is beautiful and full of emotion, it’s one of those stories you don’t just read, you truly feel.
The characters are so well written, and their journey pulls you in deeply. You can feel the love, the heartbreak, and the intensity in every moment. I found myself smiling at times and tearing up at others.
This book stayed with me long after I finished it, which is always the sign of a great read. Such a powerful and heartfelt story. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

This book was beautifully written from the first page I was captured. The characters the emotion the burn the heart ache the pain you could literally feel from every word that was written on the page left me in multiple occasions teary or smiling. SE Michalitsanos you have very well outdone your self with running with the herd and looking forward for book 2 🤩
