Hyde #6

Rhys's Peace

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling Author Layla Frost… The age-gap, fake-dating, opposites-attract romance you’ve been waiting for, darlin’.

I did a bad thing. I blamed the dimples.

I shouldn’t have found Rhys Walker attractive. Not that he wasn’t handsome. From a strictly observational viewpoint, he was the hottest man I’d ever seen.

Tattoos, sexy hair, dimpled smiles? Check, check, and the biggest check. Beyond that, he had a wicked charm that made me giddy and a dominant streak I couldn’t help but obey.

And believe me, I’d tried to fight it since he was also completely off-limits.

Not because he was too old, too controlling, or any of the other BS he claimed. He was in danger, and he didn’t want me in the crosshairs. Bullets, bricks, molotov cocktails—they were all flying. And as the undercover detective posing as his girlfriend, it was up to me to keep him safe.

A job that would be a whole lot easier if his fake kisses didn’t ignite my body in a very real way.

For the first time in my life, I didn’t care about the rules. Rhys saw me like no one else has. In return, I healed something in him that he’d sworn was permanently broken, giving him peace in the midst of chaos.

Now we just had to find a way to stay alive to enjoy it.

Growing up, Layla Frost used to hide under her blanket with a flashlight to read the Sweet Valley High books she pilfered from her older sister. It wasn’t long before she was reading hidden Harlequins during class at school. This snowballed into pulling all-nighters after the promise of “just one more chapter”.

Her love of reading, especially the romance genre, took root early and has grown immeasurably until it was time to write her own stories.

When she's not writing, Layla Frost is an insomniac with a deep love of iced coffee, tchotchkes, plants, and her hens. She's also the world's okayest mom, but her kids think she's cool... ish.

Oh my gosh, y'all, I have been waiting so long for Rhys's story, and let me tell you, it was worth every single second! These two had me completely hooked from the very first page, and I was just ridiculously happy watching Rhys finally meet his absolute match in Luna.

Seriously, Rhys is the definition of a total Alpha. Every single possessive, protective, touch-her-and-die vibe I could have ever wanted was there. Watching him try so hard to keep his hands off Luna had me grinning like crazy because, let's be real, I knew that control wasn't going to last. I loved that even with all those alpha instincts, he never tried to hold Luna back. He knew she could handle herself and fully supported her, even when it wasn't easy for him. Luna gave just as good as she got, never backed down from him except during their spicy-spicies. Their dynamic was just pure fun to watch.

It has been way too long since I've had my thirst for a massive Alpha hero quenched, and Rhys absolutely delivered. This book reminded me exactly why I fell in love with this kind of romance in the first place. Plus, as if Rhys and Luna weren't enough, getting back to the Hyde OGs and catching up with everyone again was the ultimate icing on the cake. I closed this book with the biggest, sappiest smile on my face. Thank you Layla!!!

Spoilers ahead 3.6"

Lo is a detective who goes undercover at Rhys' bar. Constant police complaints escalated into actual violence when they're shot at. She was supposed to pretend to be his cousin but with sizzling attraction between them and Rhys being jealous of any man around her he announces her as his girlfriend..... Now Lo has to work with Rhys and their crew to figure out what's going on in their town while fighting her attraction to the sexy bar owner and his gorgeous dimples.

********
I enjoyed this one but for how Rhys liking control was whispered about by the girls I expected a bit more in terms of sexiness. Now don't get me wrong, this has some heat, the spitting thing is a particular favourite of mine so I was DELIGHTED at those scenes but I just expected a bit more.
I liked the MCs together, they had good chemistry, I loved that even though Rhys was an Alpha male he didn't try to stifle Lo and get in the way of her doing her job.
Lots of appearances from characters from other books by this author but since I read them all I knew everyone and was happy to catch up.

I wasn't a fan of Rhys' past of having one night with women but at least it'd been a while for him.

Loveddddddddd that I got babiesssssss in the epilogue 😍

All in all I'm a happy camper 😌

A great edition to this series

I was so happy to get my hands on this one, and be back with characters that I already love.

Rhys has been a good friend in the Hyde friend group and I loved his interactions and relationships with the Mayco brothers. Someone is working hard to ruin his bar, it's critical to figure it out who.

Luna Oliver is sent in undercover, looking for anything illegal or suspicious, and quickly realizes that Rhys isn't what she thought, and everything she didn't know she needed. These two seem so opposite, but their mutual respect, his Alpha behaviors and her sass are perfectly matched.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two and the suspenseful mystery of who is behind the troubles he's facing. The pages turned themselves and I really enjoyed the way this wrapped up.

It is best to read in order to avoid spoilers and have the best experience with the characters. I look forward to more from this creative author, and recommend this series.

Holy moly, the dirty talk! The banter! The tension!!!

I loved it all.

If you like enemies-to-lovers, Sexual tension on every page, Dirty talk like it was a job, and a sassy heroine that makes grown men shameful, then this is a must-read!

I am obsessed with this heroine. She is a bad motherf*cker who doesn't let anyone tell her what to do unless it is our hero, and he is talking dirty to her. But she will still roll her eyes at him while going down on her knees. Don't get me wrong, Rhys lives for her sass and attitude, and it is forplay for him.

I loved the suspense in this book, and even though I did figure out the bad guy quite early on, I wished it had been a little bit more of a what not him! Moment there was a few small twists in the end and I was like, okay, I didn't see that coming. So if you do like a little action and twists in your romance, this is a good book for you.

I LOVED that we got to see more of all the other characters from this universe of Laylas, both some that was obvious and some I did not expect to be in this book, but I was so here for it, and it was perfect!!

Tropes:
❤️ Enemies to lovers
❤️ Sassy heroine
❤️ Plus-size heroine that loves all her curves
❤️ Found Family
❤️ Suspense
❤️ Undercover cop
❤️Fake relationship
❤️ Dirty-talking hero
❤️Toys and fun games 🌶️

The MMC owns a bar with multiple servers. One server that used to be paid but now willingly helps out besides her full-time job is a female friend of his that is the girlfriend of a MMC from another book.
He calls her delicious. Since one reason I didn't like a previous book of this series was that the MC constantly commented on the hotness of their friends or their attraction to strangers, I'm out.

Before his bar attracted as many customers as it did now he had the energy to use the backroom of his business for hookups...and even though he does not have the energy for it it seems to have been happening so recently that at least one of his recent female hires (who seemed to be college-aged?) knows about it.

"He, uh, doesn’t use his office for that kind of thing. Only the back room. And he always says he never mixes payroll with pillow talk, but I thought…”

Ew.

“I watched as Lo threw her head back and laughed at something, and it hurt. She was so f*ckin’ pretty, it literally hurt to look at her.”

After an incident involving a bullet almost lodging itself into one or both of them,
along with Rhys fielding numerous attempts at sabotage of his bar, Luna (AKA Lo) goes undercover at his bar to determine who could be after him. Rhys hasn’t been able to get the curvy officer out of his head since they met a year ago during an unrelated incident and having her close certainly doesn’t help the matter.

I’ve gotta say, I have never been disappointed by a Layla Frost book and this one definitely kept with the theme! I had actually only read the first in the series before picking this one up, so you certainly don’t have to have read the others to understand and enjoy this one. Though I was able to pick up that Piper’s sweets and the animal instinct and pure shenanigans they bring out within the group seem to be a through line for all of them, and I adore that! It’s funny having only read the first in the series, where Rhys was the kind-of-maybe-other love interest who is close friends with the MMC, to now seeing the shoe firmly on the other foot. Though he pretends otherwise, he’s instantly jealous and possessive of the beautiful Luna, who no man can seem to take their eyes off of for too long. And he’s got a lot of handsome, single friends so he finds himself frequently willing to end friendships at a moment’s notice 😂

Rhys doesn’t do serious when it comes to relationships, having been burned in the past. And truly, he doesn’t do anything at all lately given the stress he’s been under. However, when it comes to Luna, he can’t help but be immediately invested, and we love him for that.

I loved Luna so much! She’s so confident in her skin and such a strong, take-charge bad*ss. Like, one of the first scenes we see of her, she has blood dripping down her face, but refuses to get it checked out until she gets her job done. Which, you know, maybe she’s a little stubborn. But so is Rhys, so they were a perfect match 😂 And I have to say how refreshing it is to have a curvy FMC who loves and appreciates her body (as she should!).

“This is mine now. Your org@sms are mine. If you need something, you come to me. Understood?”

The spice was doing its thing here. It’s a slow burn, but once it happens, it’s hot 🔥 Rhys’s unabashed dominance is everything 🥵😮‍💨 And I very much swooned at the way Rhys, Mr. one-night-only, decided he wanted something and committed to it, fully. The way that their relationship progresses and is so solid —it’s perfection.

And the family that these friends have together is something that I think most people would do anything to have in real life. They’re tight-knit, always there for each other, and always seem open to expanding the group. It was cute to see in the first book and so sweet to see how it’s grown and to see Rhys get his happily ever after. Also I loved the little crossover we got at the end!

“For the first time in my whole damn life, Luna, I feel peace down to my bone marrow.”

Tropes:
Forced proximity
Age gap
Fake relationship
Curvy FMC
Law enforcement FMC
Undercover detective x bar owner
Slow burn
He falls first
Found family
Romantic suspense
Possessive MMC
Spice

Thank you so much to Layla Frost for the ARC of this wonderful book!!

🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5

Rhys’s Peace is a tough one for me to rate because if I look at the book as a whole, I did enjoy it. But there was one pretty big issue that held it back for me.

At its core, I really liked this story. Rhys is in danger, and Luna has to go undercover as his girlfriend to protect him while they try to figure out what’s going on. I thought the storyline was really good. The chemistry between them was great, the will-they-won’t-they tension was there, the humor was there, and the banter was all done really well.

I also really enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship, and when the spice finally hits, it is SPICY. Rhys is a dominant, and yeah…I really enjoyed that. 😂 But I also loved seeing these two connect on a deeper level and watching an actual love story develop between them.

So when I finished this book, I liked the mystery. I liked the romance. I liked the characters. My biggest problem? This book needed to be at least 100 pages shorter.

It clocks in at over 500 pages, which is a lot for a contemporary romance, and unfortunately, it felt like it. For probably the first half of the book, there was just so much filler. Pages and pages about side characters, their friendships, and every little detail involved in setting up the undercover operation. And I get it. A lot of these are characters from previous books, and I know readers love getting to see them again. But there was just too much of it, and I think a lot could have been cut down to help the story move along.

There was also a lot of internal monologue. And I actually like internal monologue! I love getting that insight into what the characters are thinking and feeling. But again, there was just too much of it, and I think cutting some of that down would have helped the pacing so much.

So while the length and pacing were definitely a struggle for me, when I closed the book, my overall feeling was still that I liked this story. I just would have liked it so much more if it hadn’t been dragged down by all the extra side stories, side characters, and details that didn’t feel necessary.

Overall, if you’ve been reading this series, I definitely think you should continue with this one. And if you don’t mind a longer book with some filler, give it a go. Because underneath all of that, there really is a good story here.

Well…that was a wild ride, and who doesn’t love wild?

All us Frost fans have been waiting since Hyde and Seek came out for Rhys’s story, and lemme just say, it did not disappoint.
Rhys was exactly what I expected from the glimpses we got throughout the series.
Dimpled, daring and dominant.
And Luna…man, she totally stole the show in this book. She was so much more than I expected, and I fell more in love with her than I did Rhys.
This book was well worth the wait and it won’t be long before I’m rereading it!

My only complaints are very small and to be expected from me (I’m very particular about this) lol. I wished we could’ve had the spice start before the 65% mark. This has become more prevalent in books nowadays, and I wanna go back to when the spice starts spicing around the 30-45% mark lol.
The only other thing is more of an assumption (and you know what they say about those). I expected, based off glimpses caught throughout the rest of the series, for Rhys to be way more dominant & controlling. Maybe not controlling Luna’s outside life, but definitely in the bedroom.
Don’t get me wrong, he was controlling, just not to the level it was built up to from the other books. Regardless, it still floated my boat 😏

I’m sad the series is over, but every good thing must come to an end. I’m ready to see where Layla Frost takes us next! Could I put in a request for Beck’s story? The woman that captures his attention is gonna be…fire…heh, see what I did there?
Anyway, read this book! You won’t be disappointed!

I will be honest. When I found out Rhys was finally getting his story, I was excited and a little nervous. He has been one of the most intriguing characters since the first book, and I wanted his story to feel right. Layla Frost pulled me in from the first page like she always does. I was hooked immediately.

Rhys is quiet intensity and deliberate control. He watches everything and misses nothing. I found myself doing that thing I always do with her books. Reading when I should be sleeping. Reading while pretending to focus on other things. Reading while eating like I am in survival mode. The tension is strong and constant, and I did not want to stop.

Luna was perfect for him. Their chemistry feels lived in, layered, and a little dangerous in the best way. They both try to hold back. Rhys thinks he is too old. Luna is working undercover and trying to keep him safe. The connection between them is too strong to ignore. Their banter made me smile, and their dynamic feels real and balanced. Luna gives as good as she gets, and Rhys never tries to dim her strength.

The plot moves fast. The danger feels real. The emotional moments hit harder than I expected. The smexy scenes are intentional and unique to them. And the familiar faces that pop in made me grin. Layla always balances secondary characters without letting them overpower the main couple.

If you love romance with grit, loyalty, slow burn intensity, and a hero who feels like a storm waiting to break, Rhys Peace delivers. Give it a chance. You will not regret it.

Oh my goodness how do you put into words the perfection that is this book and this couple! First off I am sooooo excited the Rhys got his HEA, he deserved it so much. But to fall for a beautiful soul like Lo. Stop it!!! Rhy's is definitely a BD energy guy. All of Layla's Male characters are .. duh..and they fall for these women who are incredible and just as strong and Baddy as they come. Rhys definitely gets that with Luna aka Lo and he lets her be who she is! Their chemistry is chemitrying. (Not a word but just go with it) And their tension is through the roof, so much so I was getting anxious, but man when it hit..... Wowza! I was so happy to be back in this world of they Hyde garage but also Court of Mayhem. Getting to know Rhys and who he is made my heart happy! Lo was totally perfect for Rhys. They have an instant attraction but are trying to deny their attraction. Cue in the tension. I love the banter that Lo provides, She was cracking me up especially with how much Rhys was trying to fight it.I am just overall giddy as all get out for this book. I devoured and didn't want it to end!! I am definitely recommending Rhy's Peace! Loved it with my whole heart!!

I was so excited to find out that Rhys was finally going to get his story! He has been an intriguing character ever since we met him in the very first book in this series so I was ready to jump in.

Rhys and Lo were absolutely perfect for each other. You could see the chemistry these two had for one another, but there were obstacles that kept them from grabbing what they both wanted. Rhys saw himself as too old for Lo, and Lo was working undercover, determined to keep him and his bar safe from the danger closing in. But the connection between them was too strong to keep them apart.

Besides really loving Rhys' dominant alpha vibes, it was Lo's character that I absolutely adored. She gave as good as she got and she got a lot! Rhys also did not try to hold her back, he knew how strong she was but once behind closed doors, they both knew who was who. I loved their banter so much, I haven't smiled like that in a long time. What was icing on the cake was seeing some familiar faces, one made me grin so much. I love when books bring back past characters and see what is happening in their lives.

Overall, another fantastic read and ready for more from one of my favorite authors.

No spoliers, but I will say this: Layla Frost has mastered the art of stealing an entire evening. Every time I thought I’d stop after “just one more chapter,” she said NO MA'AM!

April Ludgate

Rhys and Luna were absolutely written to perfection. His alphaness and her badassery..EVERYTHING AND THEN SOME! The writing flows effortlessly, her characters are so easy to connect to and the romance and alpha holinesss... NO NOTES!
I honestly could not put this book down. I love these reminders of just how much I love Layla's books. FIVE MEGA STARS!

That was... perfect

I won't lie, I start Rhys's book not feeling it. I hate thst I can't say why. It could have been any number of reasons; one of which being me. Maybe my head just wasn't in the right place.aybe I needed a break. Maybe... Who knows. I took a few chapters to warm up.

And then I warmed up.

And got comfortable.

It got uncomfortable and hot. Readers get everything we expect from Layla in her men. The stubborn, yet instantaneous possession. The ability to protect but not hold back. The little things we kinda wish our person would do or notice... just once. The consumption with conservation.

And her women. The leading ladies. The ones we secretly want to be like. The girls girls even when we're not sure what the mission is we just know we can't not be involved. That rightness when the moment of trust happens. Peace a family of choice can bring.

Throw in some epic little action on the *pew pew* and horizontal and vertical mambo and anything less is definitely not a Layla Frost book.

So anyhow I ended up really loving Rhys and Luna. They were stupidly and quirkily perfect for each other.

This felt right.

So oddly enough, I found myself slowing down while reading this one. Why? Because I wasn’t ready to end my time with Rhys and Lo. Honestly. They have a bit of angst, tons of mystery with a dash of danger, some drama, a lot of humor, oodles of fire once they get on board with what their hearts (and bodies) already want, and the faces you love to see join the party. With all of that, why wouldn’t I want to prolong my time in this story?

Even more squeal-worthy is the OTHER faces we see again. Maybe a tad unexpected if you’re not paying attention, but oh-so-welcome no matter what. Because I really adore that face and I’ve looked toward to seeing and hearing from him again. The tie-ins to other tales, other stories we’ve already gotten, and this oddball group of good people who don’t always do things the spotless way to get results made for an excellent ride from “what is happening” to “Rhys finally gets his happiness” and it is so richly deserved that I truly can’t wait to see what else comes our way. Yeah, already. I already want another story. I guess I’m just demanding like that.

Holy smokes people! Without giving too much away, I always knew that I would absolutely love Rhys's story when his turn came. And he did not disappoint! Wow!

Rhys and Luna are absolute perfection! Rhys is so bossy and in control of not only his business but also in his personal life. Luna is determined and tough as nails. The banter between these two is like foreplay. They're like a ticking time bomb and when they get together it explodes!

I hung on every word of this book. I struggled with putting it down because I needed to know what was happening next, but wanted to take my time and savor each moment. Chocked full of heat, banter, wit, suspense, mystery, white-hot passion, and love. I loved every single exquisite word of this book. Now I need one of those thingies that the MIB use to wipe memories, so I can go back and read it again for the very first time. An absolute 5 star read!

This was a such a fun read! Rhys has been simply existing for years. Sure, he has his Mayhem family and the Hyde group but all he does is work. His bar, Rye, is all that matters to him. Of course he noticed Detective Luna Oscar from the moment they met. She was all business at the time and he chalked it up to simple lust. Now she is back, in his bar, on an investigation. The situation escalate and she is now working undercover as a bartender. Working closely with Rhys to figure out who keeps messing with his business, they start to get close. It was amazing to have a curvy heroine that kicks butt and takes names. The confidence she has is so attractive and Rhys eats it up. He respects her and her job and that is so hawt! The connection they have is effortless, watching them fall in love was beautiful! I gotta say, the twist at the end was awesome, I didn't expect it at all. Another masterpiece from the amazing LF!

This was really a 3.5 that I rounded up to a 4.

The first half of this book was not my favorite. The main female character was kind of annoying and off. She had so much inner monologue that just felt a little off somehow and didn’t flow right. I struggle to fully articulate what was wrong with her. It felt like she was trying to impress how amazing of a detective she was, within her inner monologues, without the information to make that line up well. She also had some weird interactions with people at first and odd ways she thought about people while she was talking to them. I was pretty bummed until close to 50% when she finally felt better and less forced.
The main male character was fine but the interactions between the two in the first half of the book were really lacking. I think they could have used better conversations that felt more fleshed out. If I were to reread this book I would probably skip the first half.

Rhys’s book is finally here!

Watching Rhys get a little bit more sad in each book with the Hyde and Mayhem series, i was dying for his HEA. We finally have it and it did not disappoint!

Rhys and Luna are PERFECT together. Two commitment-phobes, unhinged chemistry, all the banter, and healing moments made this book so freaking good. Rhys never once doubted or tried to stifle Luna in her job. She is such a baddie and he not only knows it, but has pride in her skills. So while he is protective he is more supportive than anything.

It was also great getting to see all the past characters from Mayhem and Hyde. I can’t wait to see more books from those series because I will never be ready to say goodbye to them.

Anxious readers have no fear, this is a great read for you. Despite the push and pull of our MCs, I never truly felt the angst.

Rhys & Lo

OMG - the chapter titles!! Before I even started the book, the chapter titles were giving me joy.

I am in so deep with the Hyde crew and the Court of Mayhem and this book managed to scratch the itch for both groups. I am just in heaven.

I dragged out reading this book over the long weekend - you can only read a book for the first time once and I didn’t want to rush it.

It was SO good. So worth every minute of waiting for it. I love Rhys even more now. And Lo is just so right for him! She was great in Jake and Piper’s book, and I love her now after really getting to know her. The mystery and intrigue hit just right. So steamy too! I wish I could give more than five stars!!! I already can’t wait to read it again. And when the audio comes out!? I’ll be getting that right away too.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What a fun wild ride! I have read other novels by this author and loved them. This novel did not disappoint. I love this series and have been waiting for Rhys's story. It did not let me down. I was excited to jump back into this series. From the first chapter I was sucked right back in and this novel held on tight until the very last page. I didn't want this novel to end. Once I started reading I could not put this novel down, even if it meant staying up almost all night long reading to finish. So worth losing sleep over. I loved the dialogue and banter. I loved catching up with characters from the previous novels. I loved Rhys and Luna together. I loved Luna's character, I love a strong female who is not afraid to show it. I loved their chemistry. This novel was such a fun wild ride! I loved it! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. So so good!

I do not hide the fact I love anything Layla Frost writes. This series is newer to me and just as fantastic as everything else she’s written!!

I love Luna aka “Lo” so very much! Her take charge attitude in such a small package just brings a smile to my face. I loved watching Rhys fall hard and try to hide his emotions.

Found family is an all time favorite of mine and this book (and series) has it in spades!! They are there for each other without question and through thick and thin.

Spice is spicing!!! It’s kind of a slowish burn. Kind of. But there’s so much exciting tension from the getgo!!

Highly recommend!!

Being a OG Hyde series mega fan to say I’ve been waiting a really long time for Rhys’ book is really an understatement. Well, Ms. Frost sure made the way worth it, and even tortured us in the best way with some delicious slow burn between Rhys and Lo, they both sure were play are to get and resisting their attraction with all they had.

Rhys Peace was a sweet, funny and steamy hot love story which delighted me to no hand. And to make the ‘conclusion’ of the series even more amazing than all the Hyde gang, we got to see all the Mayhem fam, and I’m dying to read all about Glitch’s love story!

First of all...
Did you ever finish a book, knowing it was the last book in the series, and shout at the end...NOOOOOO...cause you don't want to leave this world.

Lo...the most unlikely woman to hook up with Rhys...Rhys...the most unlikely guy to hook up with and stay long term with any one woman.

She felt she had to prove herself, to her family, to her coworkers...she had to be tough and she was until she met him, the one guy that could bring her to her knees.

Rhys didn't want to be tied to anyone. He was a nomad, didn't want to join the MC, just kept doing what he was doing, until her saw her...all uptight in her business suit and hair in a tight bun.

Neither saw the other one coming and they were explosive when they got together.

I have been in love with Rhys since he was introduced. I always wanted him to get an HEA cause he was that character I was always drawn to but was always in the background. Him finally getting his story was something I was over the moon for! I was not disappointed at all!!! Rhys and Lo made me so happy. Plus, it felt like I didn’t have a huge gap to work through. That was appreciated and it made me wanna go back to the start and binge all the way through. I love that there is a reading order so I can shove all my favorite people into a steady stream of reading! Layla Frost never lets me down and I know this will be a book I read over and over just like the rest of her books!

This book was amazing. I love Layla Frost and this is another banger from her books. I can never say no to one of her age gap books. They are always fire. This book has me constantly guessing on what was going on.
Rhys and Luna were a fun MC’s. They had some angst with some suspense as well as the romance Layla did amazing giving another dirty talking MMC.
This is the first book I’ve read in the series. It can be read on its own, but I think it will help knowing all the characters. I will eventually get to reading all of them.

Rhys has been such an interesting, but peripheral character throughout the series and it was great to see him take the spotlight. The sparks between him and Lo were sparking and the banter was top shelf as it always is with this author. it was wonderful to see the full past cast of characters because I loved them all.

The mystery/suspense part of the plot was enough to make things intriguing and tensioned without overshadowing the relationship, which I appreciated immensely. Reading this last entry has made me nostalgic for all the prior books and I plan on re-reading them all as soon as possible.

Rhys's Peace is a great addition to the Hyde series! And we finally get the bar owners story! Rhys is the owner of Rye Bar where he works hard and keeps those he cares about in his inner circle safe. Luna is a Detective who shows up at Rye when a police call comes in. These two were electric from the start and did what they could to ignore their connection, but once they gave in it was on!

I liked Luna's strong and independent character and even though Rhys is commanding, he still let Luna be who she needed to be. If you are looking for action, romance and a little danger - Rhys's Peace is just the read for you. 5 Stars!

Loved Rhys and Lo! I’ve been dying for Rhys’s story since he was first introduced and Layla did not disappoint. He’s our typical alpha, hard, protective lead, but so supportive of Lo’s badassery. I loved Lo and her passion for her job and how tough she was. The banter between them was great and I loved their connection. The steam was hooot. There’s great suspense between what was happening at Rye and how the Mayhem and Hyde guys are involved in that. I always love getting to see past couples! Overall a great addition to the series!
