My enemies thought losing my husband would break me.
Instead, they just signed their own death warrants.

Venice belongs to the D’Immortali Dynasty—a glittering mafia empire of powerful vampires, blood vows and ruthless betrayals, and if I ever want to see Dante again, I must forge a pact with the devil. Two of them, in fact.

Gabriel Dominico, the male I was once promised to, who will do anything to save his brother.
And Nico Draconi, the soldier sworn to protect the Dynasty… who will help me burn it to the ground.

But the Dynasty is already crumbling under the weight of its own rot, and the males at my side are deadlier as the ones I’m hunting.

The closer we get to finding Dante, the more the lines between allies and enemies blur, and temptation becomes a delicious test of my willpower, one that demands I submit.

But I was not born to obey.

I was born to rule.

DESIRED is a steamy enemies to lovers vampire mafia romance set against the haunting backdrop of Venice, with forbidden romance, hot villains, fated mates, age gap, morally gray antiheroes, revenge pacts and a fierce, stabby heroine determined to win no matter the cost.

Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 3/5 ➡️➡️➡️ Em with Nico and Gabriel save Dante from the Fossa. This eats up the majority of the first 200+ pages. It’s a lot.

Once freed, the gang needs some recovery. They don’t get long. They’re back on the hunt for the basin.

Ember is falling more and more in love with Nico and Gabriel. The guys finally confess their feelings. One to Dante and one to Ember herself. We finally get to witness them all together. 🔥🔥

Since I knew this wasn’t the last, this obviously does end on a cliffy. Setting you up for book three. They’re forging alliances, getting all the pieces together, trying to kept Dante in one piece, and finish off her uncle. Even Luca gets to step up! (that made so happy!)

What a phenomenal read!! As the second book in the series, it kept me on the edge of my seat. The hits just kept coming, but our beloved characters kept fighting. I don’t think I have a favorite of the MMCs anymore, they are all equally interesting to me. Dante is struggling for control, Nico is fighting his past, and Gabriel is battling to protect everyone. Ember, while not completely abandoning her normal tendencies, is learning to not be so impulsive. I loved getting to see Luca come into his own as well. I can’t wait for book 3!

This book is packed to bursting with tension, danger, deceit, and intrigue—and the spice reaches a whole new level in this second installment.

Every character is flawlessly portrayed, and this book allows each of them to grow and evolve, both individually and as a group. Their relationships deepen in meaningful ways, and the banter between them provides just the right amount of lightheartedness to break up the ever-building tension.

I can't choose between the MMCs anymore... and honestly, I don't want to. Each of them is special in their own way, and when that "why choose" moment finally arrives, it feels like fireworks.

What I loved most is that the spice never overshadows the story. The plot remains gripping throughout, with intense twists and shocking developments that constantly keep you on edge, desperate to know what happens next. I absolutely inhaled this book and am already counting down the days until Book 3!

This is the second book of the D'Immortali Vampire Dynasty series. The first book knocked me over. This one just held me down and said watch this.
From the first page I was pulled in and it never let me go. The characters are flawless. The banter genius. The spice, just right and only gets better.
I love these characters, the four of them fit together and flow together so well. When you think Emberline is the best, she really is, then Dante walks in and you know you couldnt have one without the other. Then Gabriel and Nico stroll in and wow they bring a whole new dynamic that throws it all out there.
These books are worth the read and very enjoyable. I cant wait for the next one.

Hot damn. It is known that this is a why choose series and when that “why choose” hits in Desired, well all the waiting was most certainly worth it.

I completely inhale all of LA McGinnis’ books and this book and series is no exception. It is fast paced, exciting and spicy—all things that keep you as a reader engaged and wanting to read more!

The level of deceptions, and plot twists, and “oh my gosh how are they going to get out of this situation” moments made this book completely unputdownable. And the spice. Girl, I’m still fanning myself off.

If you love vampires and spice then you need this series!

I fully devoured this book. 4.75 stars rounded up to 5. I honestly could not put this down.

I really enjoyed the first book and this one was better. We learn more about our FMC and MMCs and some side characters as well. Each of the characters feels like a real human (or vampire I guess). I love that the women in this book fight back against their patriarchal society and can handle themselves in combat.

This is the second in a series and does end in a cliffhanger. Also it is a why choose.
