Rate this book
Are you missing out on your own life? If you’re feeling empty and stuck, not living your intended, purposeful life, you’re not alone. Millions have turned to positive thinking, the law of attraction, and other approaches in the quest for greater joy and authenticity. But one big thing keeps getting in the way—the unconscious mental programming that traps most of us and blunts both our true nature and our brightest possibilities. Constructive Thinking helps you rewrite this harmful coding and free your unique self for the vibrant, you-specific life you were born for. Author Lisa Lentino, an experienced clinical psychologist, has developed a groundbreaking program anchored in scientific research. With compassion and clarity she shows how you’ve come to live reflexively, directed by thoughts and beliefs acquired early on. She helps you unlock your original self and enlist your mind as a powerful partner in shaping a life that feels both fulfilling and uniquely yours. Engaging and accessible, Constructive Thinking offers an empowering approach to claiming the path of vitality and meaning that is your birthright.

Constructive Thinking is better than the book I thought I was receiving. I'd consider changing the title to Intuitive Thinking, or Your Inner You and how to Hear You (horrible title, I know, but this gives you an idea of what you learn from this well-written, researched, and thought-provoking book). I've read some books on inner reflection, and on living the now (Eckert Tolle is footnoted in Constructive Thinking). But Lentino's book goes beyond philosophy and pithy words to a more in-depth examination of how we let the "outside world" (the data base) influence our ego, which makes it more difficult to listen to our inner being, our true intuitive self. Or, as Lentino calls it, the unique consciousness. I learned a lot - much of it was what I surmised about myself and how I lived in this world, and much of it pinpoints my values and beliefs and helps me to understand my unique consciousness.

This book is a life changer. Best book I have read over hundreds on personal growth. Packed with real solutions related to self-sabotage and low self-worth. I expect to reread this book over and over. What a gem!
