I left Colter Creek with a secret growing in my belly. Now I’m back—with a five-year-old who looks exactly like Clint Parrish.
One reckless night. One cowboy I never forgot. One man who has no idea he’s a father.
But Clint isn’t the only High Ridge Ranch cowboy pulling me in… Sawyer is the quiet one. Gentle. Steady. He looks at my son like he already belongs to him. Reid is sunshine in worn boots. All charm, all heat, and impossible to resist.
I was only supposed to sell my grandfather’s house and leave. Not fall into their lives—and watch my son fall in love.
Secrets are unraveling. The ranch is in trouble. And the three cowboys I should run from are the only men I trust.
I came here to say goodbye. But now I don’t think they’ll ever let me leave.
High Ridge Ranch Cowboys is a standalone MFMM why choose romance in the “Colter Creek” series. Buckle up for second chance heat, a secret baby, and cozy ranch life. No swords cross. Ultra swoony HEA.
➕ - It’s an overall sweet book with low angst if you’re wanting a palate cleanser - I love the secret baby trope so I had to give this a try. 🫶🏼 - I loved seeing how Clint was with Charlie. I wish the other MMCs took on fatherly roles as well though. - The grill scene was the best. Poor Charlie has a big heart and didn’t want to hurt Clint’s feelings.🤣 - Absolutely adored the epilogue. “My girl.” Stoppp😭🖤🥰 ➖ - Which brings me to this point, I truly don’t like when the MMC’s who aren’t the biological father end up being put into an uncle role. It’s weird. What happens when they get the FMC pregnant again? Are the kids going to be brother-cousins/sister-cousins? lol - I’m not a fan of how Dakota kept withholding the fact that Clint is his dad. First they were interrupted, so I get that. But the moment she’s alone with him she still doesn’t confess. I think the thing that really got me is that she wasn’t planning to tell him at all. Now I can understand if he was abusive or a horrible human being but she judged him before giving him the chance to make that decision for himself. If it was a shorter length of time in the book when telling him, I think I might have been more okay with it. But going 2/3 of the book waiting for her to finally be honest was not it for me.🙈 - Dakota didn’t really have a strong storyline imo. She didn’t have a solid reason to not stay in Colter Creek where everyone who cares about her lives. Even Charlie kept saying he loved it there. But since she’s such a good mom she wanted to sell and leave. Makes no sense. I understand the fear of staying away in a sense, since she was terrified of putting Charlie through rejection. I also think parents shouldn’t project so much of their trauma onto their kids. - The spice 🌶️ wasn’t too in depth and was just randomly started for half of the scenes and then one scene was a dream that started in the weirdest way. The chapter prior to it Sawyer walks away from her because he’s called into the living room and it even states hearing his laughter with Charlie’s and Reid’s. Then the chapter ends and you’re thrown into a scene in the next chapter where Sawyer is talking about how he’s always wanted her and bam sex. I had to bounce back and forth between chapters to see if I missed anything but after the spice scene he’s jolted out of sleep. Weird placement.
Spice 🌶️ The above states mostly how I feel on the spice. It’s not very spicy, you have the prologue scene + 4 scenes. Sawyer’s 1:1 scene was a dream. The group scenes were the highlight of the spice.🖤
I will say though, this is my second read from L.D. and the improvements from the first one to this one is amazing. I know it wasn’t entirely my cup of tea but I know others might enjoy it far more so I still recommend giving it a shot. 🫶🏼
Tropes: Contemporary MFMM Cowboys Small Town Single Mom Secret Baby Second Chance Years Apart Cozy Ranch Life One Night Stand to HEA
Overall, it was a good book, a little predictable at times, but what story isn't, right? I do think a lot of the conflict could have been resolved if the ranch had just done what most people would these days when stuff first started going on: buy and set up a few cameras to monitor key points like barn doors, pen gates, equipment sheds, etc. Even basic trail cams would have been effective
I know this is a minor thing, and entirely a me issue, (and that's why I'm not letting it affect my score, but it's something I've noticed in other books by this author) but people kept saying/thinking about how things "smell of" whatever, and I got knocked out of the story every time because I don't think I've ever heard someone in the US say "It smells of." We're much more likely to say "smells like." Like I said, it's a minor thing, but 🤷
Last thing I'm going to mention is that there were a lot of instances of details changing, sometimes within a paragraph of initially being mentioned, and I found Reid and Sawyer's personalities so similar and inconsistently written (especially Sawyer) that I frequently had to go back and check whose POV a chapter was supposed to be in
I know it sounds like I'm nitpicking and tearing this book apart just to be petty, but I really did like it, and I'm looking forward to the next. (Is it gonna be about the Harlan brothers?) I just also know that a lot of people choose books as much for the little "pet peeve" things (or don't choose books, I guess) as they do the things they like in a book, and I'm sure there will be a lot of reviews about the things that people like, but not so much the it-you-don't-like-this sort of stuff
Again, enjoyed the book, can't wait for the next. Also, impatiently looking forward to the next Coyote Glen and Aspen Springs books.

I loved this story so much, and Lacey is as always a top author for me. I’m so intrigued by this new series. I already love a good single-mom romance, and throwing in three cowboys? Well, just tie me up and slap my fanny because I’m sold.
Dakota leaves her life in Colter Creek after one unforgettable night with the sexy cowboy Clint. Unfortunately for her, nine months later she welcomes a little surprise, Charlie. Six years later, Dakota finds herself back in Colter Creek and is forced to face her past and the secret she’s kept all these years. Charlie is such a cute, fun, imaginative little guy who completely stole my heart. 🥹
The cowboys of High Ridge are a little down on their luck, with mysterious things happening around the ranch. Clint is the embodiment of a true cowboy and ranch legacy. He’s a bit emotionally stunted at first, but watching him grow and open up, becoming a man who can truly show his emotions, was wonderful to see. Reid is the all-around playboy, the fun guy who can calm any animal with just a whisper. Sawyer is the numbers man, always calculating and very quiet. Each of these men spoke to me on a whole new level, and I loved them dearly. 🐎
The men of High Ridge show Dakota that she belongs in Colter Creek and that they fully accept Charlie. Each of them fills a missing piece, and it was fabulous watching the characters grow and change throughout the story.
I can’t wait to ride straight into the next book in this series, because there are definitely a few characters I’m hoping will get their own happily-ever-after.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest opinion.
This new reverse harem romance series is off to a truly excellent start with a sweet and engaging read. Having previously enjoyed this brilliant author's work, I had high expectations, and this book certainly delivered, completely engrossing me from start to finish.
The charming small town setting provides the backdrop for the developing relationships between Dakota and the three handsome, hunky cowboys: Clint, Reid, and Sawyer. Dakota returns with her young son, Charlie, to sell her grandfather's house, six years after a night with Clint. However, her plans are complicated when she runs into Clint and subsequently develops feelings for Reid and Sawyer—especially as her son loves the town and wants to stay.
The author masterfully built the tension and allowed the characters' connections to grow organically. The romance was tender and featured genuine emotional depth, leading to a very satisfying conclusion. Charlie was an absolutely adorable addition who brought so much heart to the narrative. The story's richness was further enhanced by the strong sense of community surrounding the ranch and town, as well as well-written side characters.

Okay so to be honest there was alot to like about the book. The three MMCs are great and they each are very different. You have a Broody cowboy, flirty golden retriever, and you have a sweet one who doesn't put himself first(he learns to). You have a FMC who I'll be honest is the reason for one less star. I do love a secret baby trope in a book if there is a legit reason for hiding the fact. I felt for Clint because he missed years of his son's life. In all honesty he was understanding and didn't get angry with her(I would have been so upset if i were in his shoes.) Anyways, she has fear and clear abandonment issues which is fine alot of us do. I think it was hard to rationalize what she did and also was actively thinking about not telling Clint about Charlie and fleeing. I am glad Violet and Alice were pushing her to face it and stop running. The mystery of the "pranks" was solved but I still felt bad for the three cowboys because I don't think they were getting in reimbursement for all the damage to their ranch.
If you love a -cute playful child -reverse harem -secret baby trope -HEA -NO OW/ OM DRAMA -Small supportive town -There is not a 3rd breakup
There is a whole lot of riding, but not just horses!
Dakota grew up in a small town. Her dad left when she was young, leaving her feeling abandoned. So when she ends up pregnant after one night stand on her last night in town, she keeps it a secret. That is until she returns to her hometown to sell her grandfather's house after his passing.
Clint owns High Ridge Ranch. His two best friends, Reid and Sawyer, work and live there with him. When Dakota shows up in town he recognizes her right away. Reid and Sawyer take notice too. But someone is targeting the ranch, and Dakota's secret is still being kept. She's not sure if she can make the small town home again, but walking away from the three men does not seem like an option either.
Lacey Day writes a great story, full of heat and a side of intrigue. The villain of the story is evident from the first interaction with him, but the way that played out was a little different than I first expected. The epilogue illustrates a sweet happily ever after, with the family Dakota always wanted and the guys never saw coming.

This is a super cute and charming romance. I enjoyed the storyline throughout the book. Seeing the seperate scenes between the couples and thier scenes together was very nice and all connected very well. I am not a fan that she kept a secret when she left before for so long but I understand her reasoning why. I like how everyone's relationships built throughout the book. The story flowed well together and kept my attention throughout it. The side characters were also neat to have in the story and added more to it especially thier friends which was very nice to read about and added more conversations that added to the story. The romance scenes were super cute. The tension between the characters was written well and was fun to read. I love them together and how they care so much about each other. The different spicy scenes were also written well and flowed well in the book. The ending and epilogues were adorable. Overall definitely one I would recommend for a cute romantic read.

A brilliantly fun why choose romance by Lacey Day, starting a new series in Colter Creek, with a small town western romance, second chance, single mum claimed by the alpha ranchers, great character development, brilliant banter, a sweet six-year-old, chemistry, romance and love.
Six years after a one night stand Dakota returns to Colter Creek with her little boy to process the sale of her grandfather's estate. She has every intention to leave again afterwards, not fall for a second time for Clint, or his two friends.
Clint now runs his family ranch together with best friends Reid and Sawyer, but on seeing Dakota they all admit they have feelings for her; but they have problems with the ranch being in trouble. Can Dakota help them with the ranch and can they help her with her son who's fallen in love with the town they live in?
Another great RH read from Lacey Day and I would strongly recommend.

This was a really sweet and enjoyable read. I loved the small-town setting and getting to see the relationships between Dakota, Clint, Reid, and Sawyer slowly develop. The tension between the characters was written well, and it was fun watching their connections grow throughout the story.
Charlie was such a cute addition and brought a lot of heart to the book. I also liked the side characters and the sense of community around the ranch and town, which added a lot to the story.
There were a couple of moments where I wished things were explored a little more, especially with Dakota returning to town, but overall the story flowed well and kept me interested. The romance was sweet with some great emotional moments, and the ending wrapped things up nicely. A really cute start to the series.
The start of another brilliant reverse harem romance series by this wonderful author, after reading her last few series I am looking forward to this one. This first story is a wonderful read, plenty to keep you rooted, I couldn't put it down. Dakota spends her last night in town with handsome cowboy Clint. Six years later she returns with her young son Charlie to clean up and sell her grandfather's house, nothing is ever that simple especially when she runs into Clint again but she starts to fall for Reid and Sawyer and her son wants to stay in her grandfather's house. Secrets, trouble, three handsome, hunky cowboys and a son one of them didn't know they had. A beautiful read I'll happily recommend.

What an absolute gem of a story! I thoroughly enjoyed this tale from start to finish. Ms. Days' characters are strong, lovable, and full of surprises. The plot was well thought out and wonderfully executed! From the grief, to fear, and every other emotion possible, right through to the acceptance of love in all its' glory, this book has it all! And let's not forget the suspense, destruction only to rebuild even stronger, and all the strings that pull it back together! I so hope this will become a series, because Vi needs her tale as well! And of course, Charlie will need a playmate! Definitely worth the read!.

This was a good story, and another great series starter. Dakota and her son Charlie, return to Colter Creek and the High Ridge Ranch where Clint, Sawyer and Reid are trying to keep their ranch together and solving all the problems they keep happening. This was a really cute story, and it was well worth reading, and as usual, the characters were relatable and well defined. The story flowed well, and of course, with the hotness of Cowboys and attraction between Dakota and her three men it was well worth reading. I’m looking forward to further books in this series.

This book had so much promise, but everything felt rushed. I think it needed to be fleshed out a little more. I didn’t feel any chemistry between any of the characters. There was no tension, no build up. It felt kind of forced and all happened so fast. It needed to be slowed down some. The characters needed to spend some real time with each other, really get to know one another. The plot was lacking and the problem was solved way too quickly without any real interaction between any of them. I didn’t love any of the characters, they were kind of just there. This had the potential to be so good, but didn’t quite reach the mark.
HIGH RIDGE RANCH COWBOYS is part of the Colter Creek series. It's a steamy, reverse-harem, secret pregnancy, one-night stand to more, girl gets her 3 Cowboys small-town romance. Dakota has a hot one night stand with Clint, a sexy cowboy, her last night in town. She ends up pregnant, never telling him. Now, 6 years later she's back to settle her grandpa's estate. Clint owns High Ridge Ranch and his 2 best friends, Reid, and Sawyer, also live and work there. Clint, along with his friends, want Dakota. Will she let them in? This was a sweet and steamy story with mystery, hot chemistry, and a happy ending. Charlie was adorable too!
I was hooked on this book from page one! From the story of how it all started, to her coming back with her son 6 years later. You can feel Dakota’s attraction to Clint, sawyer, and Reid. From the battle of telling Clint that Charlie is her son to the four of them building a full on relationship. Charlie gains three men who love him and Dakota gaining three men who are absolutely entranced by her!
I definitely loved this story from beginning to end and i can’t wait to read more by this author!.

So I have read several books by this author and I really wanted to read this one too. I now have finally finished reading it and wow. The story here is really good! The story is about Dakota who travels home to where Grandad ranch was to get it closed so she can move on to a new life for her and Charlie, her son. He is so cute! But now Dakota is falling for three men and I can't blame her. There is mystery in the story to as someone might have it out for Clint as his ranch is under attack if you will. It first seemed pranks but things take a serious turn. Loved reading this one.
Really dumb and just straight smut. There was no build up to any of the relationships - it was just like I like you let’s sleep together - oh we all like you and it’s cool and we’re all totally fine by sharing you - oh yeah I’m not going to tell you you’re a father but I’ll sleep with you again - blah blah. Even though it was POV there was zero character development. I realize these books are meant to be heavily spicy because of the context but you got to at least provide some sort of story for this whole scenario to work and sadly this did not.
Good cowboy country romance. Enjoyable storyline, interesting MC’s and one captivating little ray of sunshine, matched with a mystery to be solved and family to create makes this one good ride of a read. I enjoy this author’s writing-style, especially the way each character has depth and individual characteristics that all somehow work when you combine them all. Seems like a nice, welcoming community. I received a free advanced copy of this book and voluntarily leave this review.
This was a sweet read with low stakes. You can feel the tension building and understand how the MMC Clint was struggling. I adored all the MMC and you could definitely see the growth in Sawyer when he started opening up. FMC had a support system she definitely needed to rely on more. I wish we got to see more of Dakota handling Colter creek and meeting everyone’s families. Overall it was cute!.

-A sweet and charming cowboy romance with engaging characters and a welcoming small-town feel. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
The mix of tension, secrets, and family dynamics keeps the story interesting while the relationships grow naturally. A cute, heartfelt read with lovable cowboys, strong emotions, and an adorable ending that makes it easy to recommend.
I was on the edge and trying to figure out what was going to happen next to the Ranch, talk about a mystery. I completely fell in love with Dakota, Clint, Reid, and Sawyer, especially Charlie (Dakota's son). I fell in love with the people of Colter Creek. Dakota and Charlie get such a great HEA with the boys, which they all deserve.

This is one of those stories where once you start you can't put it down. You have Dakota and Charlie who have come to town to close out the estate of her grandfather. In and out. But she runs into Clint on her first day in town. And they have a past. Then she meets Reid in the town bar and they have a present. And then she and Charlie run into Sawyer in a field, and she knows there is a future there.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I love the reverse harem books and this one is excellent. Each of the guys have different strengths and approach Dakota in different ways. Her son, Charlie, is cute, speaks without a filter and obviously loves his Mum. He quickly bonds with Clint and his reactions when he finds out who his father is, great. Lacey has written another really good book.
Reid, Sawyer and Clint run High Ridge Ranch together and suspicious things are happening that affect them all. When Dakota and her son come to town for personal reasons, she knows that her secret will come to light. This was a great story that was well written and had complex characters that tied the plot together into an excellent read.

Dakota returns to her hometown for a funeral with her young son Charlie. But things aren't so simple and straightforward when she becomes entangled romantically with three men - Clint, Sawyer and Reid. Clint doesn't know he's a father, and the other two are along for the ride too. A steamy why choose read with cowboys, found family and touches of drama too.

This one is missing the part of the story that makes you understand why the characters are together at all. They feel a spark, but they don’t ever seem to interact. The FMC struggles with every moment and then describes how each man makes her feel- emotionally every time, but you don’t know why because she spends no time with them. Very rough, almost put it down, kept hoping it would get better.
New town, new couples and I loved it. I didn’t even read what it was about I just knew I would enjoy it. It has a little bit of mystery to it trying to figure out who is messing with the MMCs farm. The FMC is a struggling single mom just trying to find where she belongs and returns to her hometown. I really enjoyed everything Lacey Day writes can’t wait until the next one.
