About the author

Sarah Lewin was born in Tumut, a small country town in New South Wales, Australia, and now makes her home in outback Queensland. A mother and teacher, she has always loved reading and writing about the world around her, using words to spark children’s imagination and curiosity.
In recent years, Sarah has rediscovered her fascination with magic, fairies, and witches—an enchantment that has found its way into her stories. She published her first children’s book, My Grandma, in 2023, along with her debut witchy novel, Crone Wisdom.
Since then, her creativity has flourished. In 2024 she released four more books, now, in mid-2025, several new titles have been published.
Highlights of her writing career include having stories selected for inclusion in anthologies and winning prizes for her writing in international competitions.
With every story, Sarah continues to weave together curiosity, wonder, and a touch of magic.

Arabella Anderson has lived a sheltered life, in a sheltered complex called Safe Haven. When her boss fires her, then gets murdered, everything breaks loose. She is still looking for answers to his murder when her safe apartment is broken into.
Working with the security guards, a police officer and a reporter, she starts figuring out that her world is .such more complicated than she realizes.
I thoroughly enjoyed this new story from Lewin, and am excited for more.

Arabella loses her job, her former boss is murdered, her safe and secure apartment is broken into, mysterious individuals have been in the building who shouldn’t have been able to gain access, and she’s encountering things she previously thought impossible. What could someone be looking for and what are all these strange occurrences happening?

A cozy mystery with no romance. Captivating from start to finish, it has a unique plot and style with a storyline like nothing else.

The end was a bit abrupt, and it felt like all that hard work was for nothing, but the characters were exceptional! I really enjoyed it!

This was just okay. Did keep you interested because guess want to know who is murderer. But there’s no shocking twist. Very predictable. Fell flat for a mystery
