Heat Level: Scorching!
The Taken By Cowboys series features ripped billionaire Cowboys, tanned rugged ranchers, a curvy heroine and steamy ménage romance!

Jess Jones is sick of life in New York City.
Her work hours are endless and her manager treats her terribly - apparently that’s what you get when you're a curvy girl working in fashion PR.

When Jess receives a brochure for a retreat on a guest ranch in Wyoming, she finds herself drawn to the prospect of spending some time on a quiet ranch out West. After speaking with a mysterious, flirtatious man who works there, she boldly decides to quit her job and leave for the ranch.

But her outdoor getaway might be a little more…invigorating than she thought. That's because the mysterious voice on the phone belongs to a dark, handsome cowboy named Spencer--who is best friends with a playful, confident rancher named Nate.

Two cowboy hunks? Jess is in for two times the trouble.

First off I will say that I hate it when authors break a Novel up into several novellas. I am not sure how well I will like this particular story however the first novella did intrigue me enough to add the second one to my wish list

Let's start things off with a warning: This is just as much a rant as it is a review. Also I guess you can consider this a spoiler alert but since this is just part 1 of 5 and therefore the equivalent to the first few chapters in a novel, I don't think telling you everything that happened in part 1 will spoil much of anything.

Now that you have been warned: The increase in ebook popularity has clearly changed who can be a successful/profitable author and how books are released. Now this is a great thing since more wonderful authors are being published and fans have all the reading material they could ever hope for. Unfortunately, it also enables authors to take a novel and break it into several novellas in order to sell it piece by piece and therefore make more money than if they had sold the novel as a whole.

I have seen this done well and I have seen this done not so well. This piece of a novel does not stand up well on its own but, in the defense of the split-up novel, I don't think this would have stood up well even if the "series" had been sold as one book.

There is so much to be unhappy with here. Firstly is the lack of editing or proof reading that lead to one mistake after another making it in to a published work. Next is the rather uninspiring characters. Now let's take it up a notch and have the "heroine" have unprotected sex with a guy she's known for less than twenty four hours. And to top that off, she isn't even sure he actually likes her or if he is just playing her but that still doesn't stop her from sleeping with a stranger. Nope. What an endearing "heroine"!

I originally was going to give this novella a two star rating but after writing this review/rant it has now been downgraded to a 1 out of 5 star rating.

An Awesome Read!

I loved reading Her Cowboy's: (Taken by Cowboys: Part1) A Billionaire Western Romance, all about Spenser & Nate the owners of the Guest Ranch & Jessica the women from NYC who needs a break from life! Jessica is completely run down she's been going non stop for a year-n-a-half she hated her boss she hated the people she worked with, and decided after the last snide remark about her weight & what she eat was the last straw, so she gave her two week notice and quit. She then went home and booked a one month long vacation at the guest ranch in Wyoming. The author wrote an amazing story, and the characters brought the story to life. It's about two owners of a guest ranch who used to work on Wall Street until the fast lane turned into quick sand, and a slower pace was inflicted! It's about a large curvy women who had enough of the rat race that comprised her Fashion PR job, and forced her to quit. It's about two people who are craving the same things in life & each other. It's a great story that's hot, steamy and will make you wet! I can't wait to read the next four parts! I hope you take a chance on the Guest Ranch! Because I 'm glad I did.

Great Story

I can certainly relate to wanting a change. The main character thought a job in NYC would be exciting but it turned out to be exhausting. She quits and heads for a western vacation. She meets the two handsome owners of the property and is attracted to both. Things heat up quickly. Looking forward to the next part.

Note to self...pay attention to page numbers when scanning through for a quick read and also if it is a book in parts. I'm really tired of those. *sigh* I would have liked this if I had gotten more than part of the story, because only getting part of it was a BIG issue. My bad I guess for not paying attention.

Well written story, but this is part 1, therefore, leaves you hanging. Great characters and I really like the plot. Wish this was a standalone though as I found it a bit short. Really loving what I've read so far from this author

I would probably rate this say a 3 if the cover wasn't deceiving. So spoiler alert. The cover makes you think 3 a menage. Well no menage in the first story of this group. Maybe it gets to that in the rest of the series, but I won't be reading it. I don't like false advertising.

Short but good

I was impressed. This was a short story but felt longer. I didn't want it to end and I wanted to pick up part 2 right away. I liked the authors writing style.

Good start...

To the series. I'm finding it hard to resist two sexy cowboys just like I'm sure Jess is finding it.

Gave up at 42%. The typos were distracting and the writing didn't draw me in.

Yeeha!

Good story. Great characters and a wonderful setting. I think I need a holiday. A guest ranch sounds pretty nice right now.

a trap!

Book is purchased in sections! I refuse! Be honest from the beginning. Plus a little too fast to be believable.

It has a good premise, but the story is rushed and part 1 ends very abruptly.
