This book would be extremely good if there weren’t huge plot holes. I tried to overlook them but more and more come. For example the main character leaves her phone (on purpose not to be tracked) in her apartment and ends up on the run - a few chapters later it’s magically in her pocket. A important pastor character gets captured and then magically is not and the bad guys are looking for him with no explanation of how he got away. She met a WOMAN named rue who is captured and few chapter later is now discribed as a little girl and a few chapters after that is magically her daughter. They knew each other 30 mins of that and they gave this deep connection? There way to me huge plot holes there were different versions of the story that were just cut and pasted together. Is Rue a women or a girl, a stranger or a daughter. Is Elias caught or never been caught? The book can’t make up its mind. I gave it a shot 300+ pages and that just half the book but I have to stop… a real shame this could book could have been something special
