The never ending billionaire obsession collection that I cannot get enough of. I’m convinced this author can go on forever with this series and I am not complaining. I’ve loved this world thus far. I can’t believe it’s been 2-3 years since I started this series where just looking at the array of stories from 1-20 felt daunting. Now look at me, finishing book 24, leaving Montana and heading to Texas. It’s been a journey for me getting to this point in this series, all the long waits and surprises along the way plus the men who have their own demons to fight and the way they make it out on the other side. This one was no different. It made my soul feel good and brought a smile to my face. I love how Asher and Sierra found love in a hopeless place to quote one of my favorite Calvin Harris songs. Their love for each other had both of them coming out of their comfort zones and a way to manage their PTSD. I loved how they found a common ground for that and built on it together. Sierra and Asher opened up to each other whenever the time felt right for them and enough trust was earned. The build of this relationship felt right and they both were going at their own pace, never pushing the other and respecting their boundaries as they were trying to adjust. I felt like Asher came a long way from when I first met him. He went from being gruff and a loner to refusing social gatherings, then not even thinking about finding love. Sierra breaks his shell right open and it was like all that pain slowly released from him and he felt lighter. It would have been nice to read about Asher as he’s getting help and moments leading up to his decision for it. I think that would have been very impactful but I appreciate how the author decided to just forgo it and focus on his recovery from it. It made the story have a lighter and happier feel which is what I think she was going for. I noticed the vibe with Asher was different than the doom and gloom that mostly surrounded him in the past story when we were focusing on his brother. The book captured their steps to recovery beautifully and I loved how it didn’t feel rushed. It really felt like the building of a relationship, everything from wanting to get to know each other better all the way to bringing it to a place where trust was a big step. Sierra was opening up about her past, not just to Asher but to the rest of the family. Then there was the intimacy struggles which conveyed the heart of the issues both for Asher and Sierra that they worked on with each other. Asher and his issue with touch, Sierra and gaining confidence about her body and scars. My favorite scenes that showcase this involves Asher getting overcome with passion and need when he’s caught in an intense embrace with Sierra. She tries successfully to not touch him during it but he lets himself get lost to the feeling and begs her to touch him, getting to the point where he reaches out to her and grabs her hands to place them on his body. This was the turning point for him and what sets off his recovery faster. It was vulnerable, sexy and emotional. Asher was also opening up to the possibility of getting close to people and talking about his feelings. Maybe he didn’t fully disclose his hard childhood but he at least could talk about it without setting himself off or getting upset. Meanwhile, Sierra’s turning point was finally talking about her past to Asher and the family. Her big leap of faith though was when she declared to Asher on a flight after they were already in a heated embrace that she wanted to sleep with him with the blinds open and lights on. She wanted him to see her flaws because she knew he wouldn’t judge her and still think she was beautiful as he points out many times throughout the book. This was an emotional moment, not just for her but for me as well. It’s when things became full circle for them physically because Asher then revealed all the marks and scars on his body from what he endured as a kid. This was heartbreaking but also emotional and feel good at the same time. He allows her to fully assess him and take it in while explaining what each mark was from and the deeper meaning behind his PTSD and aversion to touch. It was that connection that got me going as well as the moment Asher begs her to touch him. Overall, I am so happy with how this book turned out and love how it plays with all my feels and emotions. Asher and Sierra needed each other to heal and lean on during this time and it couldn’t have come at a better place. The book showcases this with perfection. This is why I continue to read this series and will do so until she decides to stop writing them which I feel will be a long time. This very much deserves a 5 star rating.

A beautiful journey between two broken people that needed each other to be able to heal fully. “Billionaire Unbroken” is an emotional, romantic and steamy grumpy/sunshine billionaire romance that was a sweet addition to the series.
Asher Remington keeps to himself and his grumpy personality is well known in his small town. He’s hard to work for until Sierra shows up at his door for the housekeeper job he’s posted. Sierra instantly stands up to him and lets it know his grumpy attitude doesn’t phase her. Sierra now lives in Montana after a terrible marriage in Texas. She needs this job more than Asher knows and will do anything to keep it. But when she gets terribly sick, Asher shows up at her apartment and deems it not safe enough for her and insists on her moving into the ranch with him. And as they spend more time together, an attraction forms that neither was expecting.
I love a grumpy/sunshine storyline and Asher and Sierra were the perfect example of that. Sierra is kind, caring and had a terrible past back in Texas. Coming to Montana is what she needed to heal herself physically and emotionally. I loved how from the beginning she wasn’t put off by Asher’s grumpy attitude. Asher had a terrible childhood and that is something that lingered with even into adulthood. But he’s smart and cares in his own way. When she needed help, even if she didn’t ask for it, he stepped in to make sure that he was okay. I loved the slow burn to them giving into their feelings but once they did, it was sizzling hot. But they also saw each other for who they really were despite the physical and emotional scars they carried. The ending was so sweet and I’m looking forward to the next book in the next series.
I have been eagerly awaiting Asher's book and it was everything I wanted it to be. Jan does an amazing job of brining up painful/traumatic topics in a way that is not jarring or uncaring. Asher's book is more about healing than anything else.
Asher Remington has endured a lot of trauma in his life all due to an abusive father. The oldest brother, Asher wanted to protect his younger brother so he took on the majority of his father's depravity. Everything he went through has left a lasting impression on his life and has presented itself as a form of PTSD. He has cut himself off from others so when his younger brother gets engaged and asked Asher to be his best man did Asher acknowledge he needed to seek help.
Sierra Ellis moved to Montana to heal her soul. Sierra was the victim of terrible domestic abuse that changed the trajectory of her life and needed a change of scenery. Having gone through enough therapy she was taking steps to take her life back and live it on her terms. Getting hired by Asher as his housekeeper was not on her bingo card but he paid well and he intrigued her. It was evident to Sierra that Asher had been through something serious and she wants to help him.
Two souls that have survived trauma and come out the other side with love was beautiful to read.
Asher and Sierra are both deeply broken in ways that are truly heartbreaking. Yet when they come together, they become exactly what the other needs to begin healing from the wounds that have shaped their lives. Coming from very different worlds, they each view life through a unique lens, but those differences ultimately allow them to help one another look beyond their pain and finally move forward.
One of the things I loved most about their relationship was the respect they showed for each other's boundaries. Healing is often most powerful when you have the right person beside you, offering comfort, patience, and understanding without trying to force the process. Asher and Sierra embodied that beautifully.
J.S. Scott has a talent for creating characters who feel authentic and emotionally compelling. I found myself completely invested in their journey and rooting for them every step of the way. Happily-ever-afters aren't reserved for fairy tales, and this story is a wonderful reminder of that.
I'm also a huge fan of interconnected series, and this one did not disappoint. Getting glimpses of familiar characters always adds an extra layer of enjoyment, and now I'm even more excited for what's next. I can't wait to head to Texas and meet the next cast of characters in the upcoming book!
Billionaire Unbroken-Asher is billionaire Asher Remington and his housekeeper Sierra’s entertaining and at times emotional story. It’s book five in the Montana Billionaires and it drew me in and didn’t let me go until I had read the final line and even then I wanted more. Asher is a grumpy soul who keeps himself to himself and he is very happy with his life in Crystal Fork, Montana. Needing a housekeeper it’s Sierra who turns up for the job and she is the one who stands up to him because she won’t stand for any of his obnoxious nonsense. What follows is a heartfelt story as Sierra does her best to keep the job she desperately needs when she falls ill and when Asher finds out she is sick he moves her to his ranch to get better and that’s when things get real interesting. Spending time under the same roof has both of them realising they want more than employer/employee relationship but can they move on from their pasts to create a future…….. This is a story about two broken people wanting and needing each other to heal. It’s about not knowing you need someone until they are right in front of you, it’s about trust and taking a leap of faith. It’s a beautifully written journey that’s captivating and engaging.
Asher Remington and Sierra Ellis shouldn’t work on paper, but that’s just not how chemistry works. Asher is pretty much a recluse, he’s adverse to being touched and can’t handle crowds, he also barely tolerates his own family, with the exception of his younger brother whom he has protected all their lives from an abusive father.
When Sierra shows up on his doorstep, he assumes she is there for the housekeeper job and doesn’t expect her to last. But Sierra was never there for that reason, but the money he offers is too good to turn down.
Sierra immediately picks up on Asher’s PTSD signs and slowly develops a workable relationship with Asher. But as his brother Cole’s wedding draws near, Asher uses Sierra as a distraction to all their people and they develop a sort of friendship.
Until it becomes more than a friendship and real feelings develop.
I loved Asher, the last of the Colorado Remingtons to marry, even though he’s a true alpha hole he’s also an extremely intuitive and caring person. Sierra’s past abuse and trauma is slowly revealed, and yet she and Asher still get an amazing happy ending.
I can’t wait for Gideon’s story to be revealed. You’ll meet Gideon towards the end, one of Asher’s friends and Sierra’s best friend from childhood.
Billionaire Unbroken ~ Asher by J.S. Scott is book five in the Montana Billionaires series and book twenty-four in The Billionaire’s Obsession series. The book follows Asher Remington, a rich guy who comes off as cold, stubborn, and kind of impossible at first. The heroine has to deal with him up close, and at first, it is easy to understand why she is not sure what to think of him. I liked that Asher was not perfect right away. He has a lot of issues, and sometimes he is frustrating, but that made him feel more interesting. I enjoyed watching little pieces of his softer side come out, especially because he tries so hard to act like nothing bothers him. The story is dramatic and honestly pretty predictable, but I did not mind. It is one of those books you read when you want something emotional, a little messy, and easy to get into. It has the rich, grumpy guy, the tension, the sad pasts, and the kind of romance where you already know things are probably going to work out, but you still want to keep reading. I would recommend this book if you like billionaire romances that are dramatic, emotional, and not too hard to read. I received this book from the Author for a fair and honest review.
Each of J. S. Scott’s billionaires has touched me in a different way, and I’ve fallen in love with every one of them. Asher and Sierra’s pasts are heartbreaking and painful, yet their shared struggles become the foundation for hope, healing, and a future together.
Asher Remington is broken. He’s grumpy, avoids physical touch, and has become increasingly isolated because of past trauma. When Sierra arrives at his door looking for work, he mistakes her for a housekeeper and offers her the job. Sierra is also trying to rebuild her life and career after her own painful past, and accepting the position gives her a fresh start. As their histories unfold and the depth of their emotional scars is revealed, my heart broke for them both.
This book is masterfully written. It tells the story of a soul-deep connection between two people who recognize and understand each other’s trauma in a way no one else can. Their journey is a heartfelt reminder that healing is possible, that love and family can restore faith and trust, and that sometimes there really is one person who fits your heart perfectly.
The Remington’s stories are one of my favourite series by this author (there are so many!) and their cousins, brothers Asher and Cole, are a big reason why. Their story was heartbreaking, with childhood tragedy wreaking havoc their whole lives. Cole found peace, and true love, and it was Asher’s time now – I could not wait! And of course, billionaires! I love shrugging the world behind and diving into a world I can only imagine – and these reads offer a whole lot of that…
Imagine being at a crossroads in your life, feeling/being all alone and you meet someone who just ‘gets it’. And you. Not contrived. Not manufactured. Instead, Sierra and Asher came together in a way that felt natural, just like the relationship that followed. There was empathy and understanding and an attraction that simmered the whole way through. I love when there are adults in the room and, even with conflict, there is also unwavering support and family…
Sierra and Asher find love while catching up with much-loved characters. One of my all-time favourites!
An absolutely beautiful continuation of an exceptional series
J. S. Scott has done it again. This was such a beautiful story, full of emotions, ups and downs and delicious spice! This author has such a wonderful talent for writing stories that have everything you would want in a book. It was the perfect length, you were taken on a roller coaster of emotions, the characters were believable, and the storyline was so good. I also love how this author doesn’t use unnecessary angst, This book features Asher a troubled and scarred recluse billionaire and Sierra equally scarred and running from a dark past. I am not going to give the plot away because you really really need to read this book! What I would say is if you haven’t read the 23 books before this one you should because they are all great stories. I love the way that you get a little sneak look into where some of the past characters are now. Having said that you can read this as a standalone if that is your preference, you will still love it. Great book, story, and characters and of course the very best HEA Now I will have to wait in anticipation for book 25 ❤️
What both characters had suffered was traumatic, painful and nightmare inducing. That both were finding ways back to some sort of normality says how strong each are. I found this story extremely emotional but inspiring as it moved through, how the friendship built, trust and love. It needed patience to not rush through the process, each character had to develop in their own time, not at a timescale maybe an impatient reader would necessarily be happy with. For me, it was absolutely spot on. I loved how family gave time and help but didn't push, how they supported and loved without demanding anything back. It's moving and I found myself feeling very empathetic and very invested in how this would progress, would there be set backs or could they get a beautiful happy ending. Asher's story is so worth reading and it was everything I expected and so much more. I have been eagerly awaiting Asher’s story, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we meet Sienna, I was completely invested in her journey. My heart broke for everything she has endured, and her strength and resilience in the face of unimaginable tragedy made her such an inspiring heroine. I loved watching the relationship between Asher and Sienna develop. Asher’s support, patience, and unwavering care for her were beautiful to see. We also get a deeper look into Asher’s own struggles, which made me love his character even more. His fierce loyalty and protectiveness reminded me so much of Sam and the way he always looked out for Cole. One of my favourite parts of the book was the Remington family dynamic. The cousin banter was fantastic, and the love and protectiveness they have for each other gave me all the feels. This was an emotional, heartfelt read filled with family, healing, and romance, and now I’m even more excited to see what comes next in the series. Highly recommended!
Everyone worries about Asher, he’s grumpy, tortured, and closed off. When he mistakes Sierra for a housekeeper and gives her a job, he never expected her to become his safe place, his salvation and the only person to bring him out of his closed off dark world back into the light and life. She herself is hiding her true self. When Asher discovers her living situation he takes it upon himself to become her protector and her biggest supporter. Bringing her into his home is a big step. They may view themselves as broken but these two tortured souls will find comfort, solace, security, and love for each other. They will learn to trust and find the courage to finally live again. The road will be bumpy, acknowledging the past will be heartbreaking but with the help and support of Asher’s family we’ll see both Asher and Sierra coming out of their shell, rejoining life once more, and Asher finally coming home. A much anticipated wait for Asher’s story. Its heartfelt, emotional and heartbreaking at times but a heart warming fitting conclusion to Asher’s tale.
I freaking loved Asher and Sierra. He never saw her coming. She showed up at his door and he mistook her for someone else and gave her a job. Little did he know just how much he would grow to care about her. Asher has PTSD and he’s isolated himself in his home and only speaks with his broth Cole and his now wife Lauren. It was hard enough handling the wedding festivities but he had Sierra by his side to help him through. Sierra has her own issues she’s working through, but her attraction to Asher is becoming an issue and when he makes a move neither have any idea of what’s going to happen next. Asher is trying to heal and get back out in the world and connect with the other side of his family who is eagerly awaiting his presence. These two were so stinking cute, he’s sweet, patient, never pushes, possessive in a good way and is figuring out how to be the man she deserves. Sierra’s past trauma still haunts her, but she’s pushing past it and hoping for an amazing future. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next in line.
Asher’s book is the 5th in the Montana Billionaires series of the Remington cousins. It can be read as a standalone book but it includes time with the four couples from the other books in this series.
Asher and his younger brother, Cole, were raised by an an abusive father who was murdered. Most the town assumed they did it. As soon as they were adults they left for Texas and founded a few companies that made them very rich. Recently, they returned to Montana to slow down, find some peace and enjoy the lifestyle they earned. Asher hates crowds, suffers from PTSD and has become very withdrawn.
Sierra Ellis is a watercolor illustrator for children’s books. She has tragedy in her own past that she is slowly overcoming. Asher thinks she is applying for a housekeeper position and it will pay the bills until she can get more projects illustrating. Slowly, they begin to know each other and develop a tentative trust, each coming out of their own protective shells. Friendship develops into love and trust into a relationship. It is good to see them both find happiness in each other, that they richly deserve.
Billionaire Unbroken is the perfect title for this book. Asher Remington was certainly broken until meeting Sierra Ellis. He suffered terribly as a child at the hand of his father and this made his adult life hard. Sierra was his calm place even with heartbreak of her own. They come together, healing each other and then becoming who they were meant to be.
J S Scott writes beautiful stories about billionaire men and the women who change their lives. I was looking forward to Asher’s book as I felt like his story would be exactly what it was. It has a hero and heroine that the reader definitely will feel connected to from the very start and cheer for them as they go on their journey to happy ever after. The story is well written and the secondary characters add so much support for the main characters, Asher and Sierra. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend it as well as the previous ones in this series.
I may have started to fall in love with Asher before his story was told. By the end of this one I had fallen head over heels and Sierra took by heart as well. Sierra becomes Asher’s housekeeper, with him continuing to say I may sack you before you start. He is grumpy, in pains from his past and Sierra has her own pain that she hides until he finds out. Loved how he brought her food at his brother’s wedding and how everyone parted waves when he walked past. Sierra thankfully is able to cope with his grumpy soul, needing this job more she could say. A terrible marriage and now a grumpy boss. But a grumpy with a heart, when she becomes ill he moves into his house, his safe place. Two souls with pain, that both finding each is their safe place. Drama, scars, emotions and pure chemistry, romance and perfect spice.
Asher and Sierra are both deeply scarred by their pasts both mentally and physically. She's moved on (some) while he fights moving on every step of the way. He's the definitive "grumpy " billionaire who tells Sierra in one breath she's hired as his housekeeper but he'll probably fire her tomorrow in the next. She sees the man beneath the facade and slowly works her way into his life and under his skin as she ties to reestablish her one lucrative career as well as caring for her mother. Their relationship evolves slowly but the spark was ignited when they first laid eyes on the other. I loved that Asher's family quickly wecomes Sierra into their fold and rejoice as Asher slowly shed his aversity to other human beings, family or not. Great romance to wrap up the Montana Billionaires and we get to meet someone from the next offshoot series.
Billionaire Unbroken Asher and Sierra by J. S. Scott. Asher is the brother of Cole and a recluse that has awful PTSD from the abuse his father did to both of them. Sierra turns up at his ranch in Montana and ends up getting a job as his housekeeper. This was almost love at first sight for Asher and both then work through there PTSD and issues together. This turned into a beautiful story with such a fantastic HEA ending. Really loved the slow development of their relationship but this one has no drama as such in the present it’s all past trauma. Absolutely love this writer and the Remington are becoming one of my favourite with them developing the family relationship now as adults compared to them being in each other live from start.
I have been so ready for Ashers story, and it did not disappoint.
Asher Remmington is a recluse, never goes out in public, keeps himself to himself, the only person he has anything to do with is his brother Cole. Sierra is looking for work and ends up working for Asher as his house keeper, having to rebuild her life after what happened years before. Asher & Sierra have tragic pasts and they both learn to help each other, and both understand what they each are going through. This book takes you on a beautiful journey of two lost soles trying to live life, needing each other, to trust each other and to heal each other. This book was worth the wait a beautiful story of two broken soles repairing themselves with love 😍 Ready for the next instalment ❤️
Couldn’t put it down! Another diabolical read by the very talented J.S Scott. I loved Asher and Sierra together. There are a few trigger warnings for this book. Asher is pretty much a recluse suffering PTSD from a traumatic childhood and has limited his social circle to his brother. Sierra has suffered trauma of her own through a DV relationship. Slowly they bring each other out of their confined worlds and start to let others in, and begin to experience life outside their own bubbles, whilst exploring their own budding relationship and supporting each other through their dramatic pasts. A beautiful story of love, resilience, strength and the value of family. Looking forward to the next book in this long running series.
I have enjoyed reading all of Ms Scott’s books and this was no different. Both Asher and Sierra have gone through things in life that would have broken most people. Even though Asher was seen as grumpy and unreachable, he wasn’t your typical strong, silent type. In his own way, he appeared to be your typical grumpy billionaire, he had the maturity and smarts to seek help to help him deal with his issues. That’s what prompted his intuition regarding Sierra’s issues and his willingness to be patient. By the time both of them were able to put aside their reservations and start to trust each other, their bond became stronger than they realized. I enjoyed reading about their journey.
Wow, this story was amazing! So much trauma for both characters. The characters had great chemistry and the growth of the characters throughout the book is great. I’m so thankful that Jan includes the importance of seeking professional help for trauma and how counseling can be a lifesaver for many. Of course this book includes the independent heroine and the alpha, caveman hero that we expect from J.S. Scott books. And don’t forget the red hot sizzle!
Disclaimer, This book does contain some details of physical and sexual abuse.
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is my favorite book and couple out of the Montana series!
We learned a little about Asher in Cole’s book. He was grumpy, loved his brother, but put distance between himself and everyone else.
Asher and Sierra, the main characters in Billionaire Unbroken, both have been through so much pain that they both feel they aren’t worthy or able to get close to anyone. When we find out what’s behind both of their pain and the two of them start to tear down their walls, you get two people who’ve been hurt but decide to give love a chance.
This is such a great addition to this series; you don’t want to miss it.
Asher Remmington has secrets he'd rather not share with anyone else. After returning as self made billionairs to their childhood home along with his brother Cole, Asher tries to maintain his isolation, however after placing an advert for a housekeeper he gets more than he bargained for.
Broken and alone Sierra made the move to Montana to build a new life. After accepting the position of housekeeper to grumpy Asher Remmington can the quiet stranger help heal old wounds, can they heal each others?
Fantastic release once again from J.S. Scott. Amazing series. *****
I was really looking forward to Asher’s story and his romance with Sierra did not disappoint. Both have tragic traumatic pasts and are simply ideal for each other. Sierra arrives at his ranch where he offers her the housekeeping job but as time passes they find healing for their pasts. I love how Asher can be his real self with Sierra and that Sierra can return to the work she loves with his support when she no longer has the worries about her mother to contend with. It is a delightful romance.
Such a wonderful story! I absolutely loved Asher and Sierra and couldn’t put this book down! These two characters so deserve their happy ending. They both have painful pasts and are just trying to survive. This author writes such beautiful stories that make you feel like you know the characters personally and gives you have all the feels. This is such a fabulous series and it just gets better with each story told! An absolute pleasure to read and I highly recommend it! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
This series has me hooked. On the outside Asher looks like an ass doesn’t want to be touched, doesn’t want to be around people it gives him panic attacks. And then he is looking for a housekeeper a new one because a few walked out on him and in walks sierra she was supposed to check in on him on behalf on one of his friends but before she had a chance to say anything Asher offered her the job. She needed the money so she accepted the job, what she didn’t expect that she and Asher will be each other saviors. Once you start reading you can’t stop.
The story of Asher and Sierra has you pulled in from the beginning. Asher and Sierra were brought together mistakenly but really turns out to be for a reason. They both had pasts that would level most. They choose to just keep pushing through life as it is, as housekeeper and boss. All changes when the chemistry starts to move in. On their journey together there are ups and downs and it keeps you turning the page. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next.
Asher's story was heartbreaking and had me in tears. Everything he did to protect is brother Cole while he was a child was incredible. Sierra coming into his life equally broken was the best thing for him. Asher and Sierra were definately meant for each other and deserved everything life could give them to make an incredible future for them. The Remington family helped both of them heal and re-enter society and endure happiness. I think Asher is my new favorite in the family for sure.
