Defending A Big-Dicked Elven Wizard

Rate this book
"Pragmatic Amana Karl is a rare breed of elite mercenary, a Death-Doler; possessing extraordinary speed and strength, a proficiency in diverse weaponry, martial arts training, battle experience, and the gratuitous scars to prove it. After an impromptu rescue of a scullery maid from a horde of goblins in the wilds outside of Murkbum, Amana agrees to escort the young woman to a camp where survivors of a demon attack have convened.

But what Amana wasn't expecting upon their arrival was a deliciously hot Elf Wizard! Pulled into a protection contract with the enigmatic and powerful Gallow, Amana must navigate the wilds, psychotic ex-girlfriends, demonic threats, a thieves guild, assassins, and the lustful machinations of a mysterious Elf."

For fans of Dark Fantasy, Berserk, spice, slow-burn romance, magic, sword and sorcery, high fantasy, hot elves, explicit sex scenes, LGBTQAI+ themes and strong female main characters.

"I feel like I'm reading Berserk but Gritffith and Guts benaged it out and things didn't go south."---Lamar Jenkins (fake author "But I'm Straight. Now What?")

"This book lit a fire in my loins that refuses to go out." ---- Xy (innocent reader)

"Sets a new standard in Elf D*ck size"--- Ian McKinney (local vagrant)

It's hard to write a good story, it's harder to write a sex scene, and it's hardest to write a good story with good sex scenes. This book nails it! Can't wait to see what Amana and Gallow get up to next!

Maybe don't read this one in public unless you like to blush furiously. It's definitely spicy 😈

Defending a Big-Dicked Elven Wizard arrives with a title that makes an immediate and confident promise — chaotic, self-aware fun. And honestly? In its best moments, it earns that. Gallow, the titular elf, is the book's strongest asset; he has wit, quiet menace, and a dry humour that surfaces at exactly the wrong moments. The author clearly loves him, and it shows. The premise also has genuine legs — a blunt, buff bodyguard protecting a powerful elf who arguably doesn't need protecting is a dynamic ripe for both comedy and heat.

Worth noting too that the copyright page declares this a protest against the flimsy erotica of romantasy fiction, which is an admirable ambition — though the execution occasionally stumbles into the very pitfalls it's rallying against.

The book's most persistent issue is commitment. It wants to be a comedic romp but gestures at serious world-building; it wants to be hot but rushes its intimate scenes without the tension that makes them land. At roughly 170 pages it has room to do one thing exceptionally well, and instead half-commits to several, meaning none fully pay off.

The world-building reflects this — elves, the Unseelie, fey magic, and demons all surface without enough internal logic to feel intentional, leaving the reader doing connective work the narrative should be doing for them.

The prose is the most frustratingly uneven element, and frustrating is genuinely the right word — because the range is remarkable. Certain scenes are confidently paced, character-consistent, and assured. Others flatten at critical moments, the narrative voice lurching between blunt and unexpectedly florid, sometimes within the same scene. Tense drifts without clear intention. The capability is visibly there. It just isn't consistent.

For a book where the premise is baked into the title, the intimate scenes are a significant missed opportunity — arriving without enough buildup to earn their moments and flattening what should be the story's strongest asset. The chemistry between the leads is genuinely there when the writing gets out of its own way. It just needs room to breathe.

A debut that knows what it wants to be but hasn't quite found how to get there. Gallow deserves a sequel that matches his energy.

What an amazing Novella. I went in not expecting much but smut lmao but it really surprised me. The plot was interesting, and Gallow, who is the MMC, had my heart immediately🥵 He’s incredibly sweet and intriguing—funny too. I loved every second of this little story, and I genuinely laughed so hard a couple of times. I cannot wait for book 2 because please God let there be another book!! I need to see more of Gallow and Amana💘 and to know more about the mysterious Evil Wizard they're gonna face together! My only complaint is that I wish this Novella was longer! Absolutely incredible give me 10 of those please and thank u

This book was the first book I have read in full in maybe years. I was so entertained and engaged and couldn’t wait to finish. Literally obsessed with Amana and Gallow and am sitting ever so impatiently for the follow up. As someone who doesn’t know much about the fantasy world of elves etc. I found the book very easy and fun to put myself in its world, because Dana does an amazing job of world building.

More fun than i was expecting. Gallow is extremely hot as a character and as far as stories go, it was quick and fast. This is pure smut riding on some surprisingly detailed world-building.

If you're looking for romance, this is probably not the slow burn yearn that you're looking for. But if you enjoy two morally gray adults having consensual hot sex than this is the book for you.

This had me kicking my feet with joy and delight at the saucy parts. Amana and Gallow's relationship is so interesting and there's a lot of interesting character details that make me so excited to see where their story goes from here!!

Okay but what happened to the little white dog?!
And I’m excited to see how they will defeat the evil that’s openings the ‘portals’.
