Curves & Capital #3

Dial T for Tech Nerd: a Billionaire BBW Romance

Rate this book
He blocked her kiss with his hand. She fled to Sweden. Now they're stuck in a lab together for ninety days.

AUDREY
I tried to kiss Logan Whitman. Chicago's hottest tech genius. The man I'd been fantasizing about for months.

He literally put his palm over my face like a human stop sign.

So I did what any rational woman would do. I ran away to Sweden for three months and pretended it never happened.

But now I'm back, and there's an FDA crisis only I can fix. Ninety days. One tiny lab. And the man who apparently finds me so repulsive he had to physically block my mouth from touching his.

I can survive this. I've survived worse.

Probably.

LOGAN
She thinks I rejected her. She has no idea I've never kissed anyone.

I'm thirty-four. I have two PhDs. I can hack any system in the world. But I panicked during what would have been my first kiss because my brain decided to blue-screen at the worst possible moment.

Now I have ninety days to save a billion-dollar deal, work beside the woman I've been in love with since I read her paper on neural signal degradation, and somehow explain that I'm not disgusted by her—I'm just a virgin who short-circuited.

She's been running from me for three months.

I'm done letting her go.

A steamy second-chance romance featuring a curvy engineer who's tired of being invisible, a tech billionaire who's brilliant at everything except being human, and the world's most humiliating misunderstanding. Perfect for fans of virgin heroes, forced proximity, and heroines who have to teach clueless geniuses exactly what they've been missing.

As with all Megan Wade books, this body positive billionaire romantic comedy comes with her Sugar High heat, low drama, guaranteed HEA.

The one over arching storyline is finished 200 pages in. So why is the book 400+ pages? Nothing else happens. A few one off things that conclude by the end of the chapters, which was about as exciting as watching paint dry. I was so bored I didn’t want to finish. If the book stopped around 250 I would have rated it 4 stars.

Tech

If you love chaotic banter, nerdy obsession, and a hero who is completely gone for his girl, Dial T for Tech-Nead delivers in the best way. Megan Wade gives us a tech genius MMC who is socially awkward in the streets but absolutely feral when it comes to protecting and loving his woman.
The chemistry? Instant and electric.
The tension? Delicious.
The humor? Unhinged in the best possible way.
What I loved most was how the “tech-nerd” vibe wasn’t just for show. He’s brilliant, strategic, and low-key possessive — but it comes from a place of devotion, not ego. And the FMC matches him perfectly. She’s not overwhelmed by his intensity; she leans into it, challenges him, and makes him even better.
Megan Wade’s signature fast-paced writing keeps everything flowing — steamy scenes balanced with laugh-out-loud moments and just enough emotional depth to make you feel invested. It’s fun, flirty, spicy, and surprisingly sweet underneath the heat.
If you’re into:
💻 Tech genius hero
🔥 Possessive but obsessed MMC
💬 Banter & witty dialogue
💖 Fast-burn chemistry
🌶️ High steam
This one is such a fun ride. Definitely a top pick if you’re craving a nerdy alpha who falls hard and fast.

This started with so much promise then slowly became so boring I just couldn’t finish it.

Logan is a 32 year old virgin he is very intelligent and went to college at 14 so kind of missed a lot of teenage growth then he was too old to say anything, too embarrassed or too awkward.

Audrey is also very intelligent and she is so keen on Logan that she tries to kiss him and he puts his hand in the way. She is mortified and decides to leave for Stockholm for 3 months. She wants to come back a different person as she thinks she is not enough for anyone.

Finally Logan spills his secrets and Audrey and him hit it off. Then the dull scientific project drags on for weeks!

Audrey realises that Logan is not letting her into his life. This is because he has awful parents Audrey insists on meeting them and they are awful however Logan stands up for her.

Then more of the project at 77% I just gave up.

Oh these two , Logan may have a brain the size of the ocean but his personal skills are the size of an ant. Audrey is completely heart broken by his actions, more miscommunication between them is full of humour and trust me you will be shaking your head and shouting at them.
With the misunderstandings and the chemistry these two brain heads have you want to jump in and shake them.
Oh when the truth comes out lost time is certainly made up. Let’s say Logan is a very good pupil and learns very fast. Working together and romancing makes them a perfect couple.

Humour, angst, chemistry, heat, spice and romance. Perfect.

Different type of MMC

Logan is a genius that feels like he doesn’t fit in and Audrey is a genius who shares his lab and has a crush on him. When she finally makes a move to kiss him and he physically blocks her with a hand to her face, she leaves the next day for Europe and a fellowship position. Three months later she returns as her dream project is in trouble and they are forced together again. Audrey and Logan finally talk and begin to work things out and Logan begins to realize he isn’t as broken as he thinks. This was a cute romance with likable characters who grow and find themselves. The interesting twist is that the MMC was the one who had most of the obstacles to overcome with the help of the FMC. Enjoyable read with interesting side characters.

This book was everything I hoped for, and so much more! I have been waiting and was so excited I had to drop everything to dive right in! Audrey and Logan are absolutely adorable, they are made for each other but are too awkward to figure it out! I loved watching them tiptoe around each other and navigate their feelings. Both hurt from the misunderstanding of the almost kiss, but are too quirky to figure it out. The perfect balance of humor, fumbling mishaps, and some sizzling hot moments. Love this story and was hoping for Dominic's next!

Great third installment in the ‘Curves & Capitol’ series. This one picks up where ‘Dial L for Lawyer’ finishes leaving tech nerd, Audrey leaving for Sweden when the man she has been crushing on, Logan, seems to reject her attempt to kiss him – humiliating her in the process. I loved this story of ‘crossed wires’ and misunderstandings as these two emotionally stunted techies circle each other warily whilst trying to solve issues on a complex it program. The narrative is e gaging and often amusing and iI really liked both the main characters, finding myself rooting for their HEA. A really good romantic read.

Excellent book. Almost a 5 star except for a bit of a pacing issue in the last 3rd of the book. I saw this book as occupying a similar genre to a lot of Ali Hazelwood books, but I liked these characters better than AH characters because these characters were so much more real! They weren't gods with a single fatal flaw or "silly girls" engaged in hero worship of a man who is not real in any way. They were just real in good and maladaptive ways. I appreciated the healthier dynamic. The spice was plentiful and beautifully written out in long scenes. Damn! That's talent. This book is a new star for me.

This was such a sweet book. I loved reading about two equally awkward, unique, big brained sweethearts who almost speak their own language, just the two of them. The neurodivergence rep is great and I loved how the entire friendship group boosted and supported each other. This is a sweet, spicy story with an inexperienced MMC, a plus sized FMC and an underlying message of acceptance. You’ll cry, laugh and swoon and if you see something of yourself on the page, you’ll be reminded that you’re valid just as you are.
You’re not broken, you just need recalibrating.

This is a sweet (and spicy) romance about two science nerds falling for each other but being unsure how to proceed. I loved diving into the minds of Audrey and Logan who are both brilliant scientists but insecure dealing with social interactions. The story was interesting and kept me wanting to know how their relationship would unfold. I thought the book could have been a bit shorter and there really were a lot of steamy scenes that did not progress the story a lot. Still an entertaining unusual romance.

Dial T for Tech Nerd by Megan Wade. This book was laugh out loud funny in places and heartwrenching in others. STEM FMC Curvy Girl and STEM MMC with Zero Experience. Both are brilliant. This book has found family, friends to lovers, workplace romance, knee slapping banter and interesting science speak. Super sweet and spicy. There is some family drama and a lot of hiccups along the way. There is also an 8-year-old girl who is absolutely hilarious and super smart. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the spice, boy oh boy, when it took off, was very nice!

If you can get past the cover, this book was actually really brilliant! Both the MMC and FMC feel they can't be loved for different reasons- he believes he is broken (he is a virgin/never been kissed at 34 y/o) and she feels that she's not enough for anyone. The beginning of the story is incredibly angsty with you feeling their shared struggle of not being what the other needs but the story flourishes into something beautiful that shows why they deserve each other and how they can have their HEA, despite AWFUL parents (him) and her insecurities. I will be reading this one again.

Reboot

I loved Audrey and Logan's quirks and that it was okay not to be normal and that they worked so well and the progress that Logan made from never been kissed to later in the book the man did very very well. I loved the found family vibes and how they all clicked. His parents were just awful human beings. Also the teaser for the next book yes please adding to my tbr as we speak.

I absolutely loved this book! Logan is a genius with no experience with women but he definitely wants that experience. Audrey is a genius who wants Logan to want her. They have to work together to fix a problem on a strict deadline and this gets their relationship going. Logan is a fast learner and Audrey is a lucky woman. I could not put this book down and I'm sure I share the sentiment that we need Dominic's story asap! You want to read this series ❤️‍🔥

Received as an ARC.

I really enjoyed this read actually. It was definitely giving Big Bang Theory but make it spicy. The dynamic between the friends was a cool combination that I havent really read before so I loved getting to know them! I've now found myself wanting to read the first book of this series and am already anticipating the next! Solid 3.5

Loved it! Very awkward, anxious MMC which is different.

I forgot about the hand to the face at the end of the last one and it made me laugh every time it was referenced.

I also loved the speed of the book. It felt right. Honestly it only lost marks because I felt like all the spicy scenes at the end were just too much they actually just felt unnecessary.

DNF 7%. I thought this was going to be a cute nerd story, but it became clear in the first chapter that it was more of a misunderstanding trope, which I don’t enjoy. He explains himself and his clueless reactions to her in that first chapter and she doesn’t listen… I don’t another 400 pages of that.

I enjoyed the storyline of this book, but for me it lacked a compelling plot. The back cover basically sums it up, so I found this boring. I also got lost in the weeds of the tech side and ended up skimming probably 1/4 of this.

The wait was definitely worth it! I absolutely loved Logan & Audrey’s story - and their brains!! A 5 star read for sure, although I wish there was a little more details in the v-card losing scene 🥰 this was a very “all heart hitting feels” read for me and I genuinely loved it!

It was good. A little too long and I ended up skimming the last couple sex scenes because I found them boring and unnecessary (not a prude but prefer more substance). Good story overall.

Very little plot. Heavy presence of what sounds like ChatGPT-generated sentences throughout the book, which was incredibly distracting.
