What to even say about this? It’s everything I love in a cozy mystery and then some! This truly is one of my favorite cozy mystery series….it keeps me guessing, and also has awesome, solid faith content. Faith content in cozy mysteries is actually extremely rare and this series hits it out of the park every single time. It has real life struggles, faith journeys and solid theology.
This story is their longest yet and, as much as I have enjoyed all of their stories, I think it’s safe to say this is my favorite one so far! There were so many ways this mystery could have gone, and it truly kept me guessing! There are lots of suspects, but not in an overwhelming way….it all fits so well and is brought to a great conclusion!
There is also some movement in the twins’ individual dating lives ~ It is always very clean and the twins’ faith dictates a lot of what they do in these situations as well.
I really appreciate the faith journeys & growth that both girls experience, it’s all so relatable! And oh my goodness, I LOVE their friend group…..the friend group might be my favorite part.
If you enjoy clean, cozy mysteries with a really good faith element then you MUST check out The Watson Twins series! I would definitely suggest reading the mini mysteries and the other full length novel “Transactions We Expose” before reading this one.

This was such a fun mystery. Lots of suspects, lots of drama, and a very strong faith message mixed throughout the entire book. I loved being back with all of these characters and seeing how they had grown. Both Chelsea and Michelle have a lot to work through as they navigate life and the adventures that Michelle drags them into. I love the way they balance one another with their extremes personalities, and how they complement one another by seeing what the other needs even when they don’t realize it themselves. I also appreciated the way they dealt with Michelle’s relationship with Jeremy and her realization that, while she cares for him deeply, she has to proceed with caution due to his lack of a relationship with God. Excited to see what comes next for this duo and their growing group of mystery solving friends!

4.5 stars (4/10 hearts). I have been anticipating this story for a long time, knowing that both the mystery (a cold case) and the Christian content (discussing legality) would be interesting. I wasn't disappointed. Despite its 600 pages, this was a fast-paced read; the mystery had plenty of twists & turns, and had as much page space as the romance did. I'm not the biggest fan of that part, but I understand there's an arc and a theme here, plus I'm not a romance fan in general, so take that with a heaping spoonful of salt. 😆 My favourite part was definitely the friend-group—I loved how it's expanded! And finally, while I didn't agree with everything, this story had an excellent message on legality, grace, and forgiveness, which I appreciated getting to see in action—plus an unexpected message about true salvation through the discussions with the cult. The town keeps getting revealed piece by piece, and I am here for it! I can't wait for the haunted house.😉

Skeletons We Fins is part of a series. It can be read alone, but you may feel like you are missing out (like I did) on the inside scoop of how the characters relationships have developed.
The story is told from both the perspective of Chelsea, and from the perspective of twin sister Michelle.
I will do my best not to give away plot points or solutions to the mystery(s) in the course of this review.
At times I had a hard time keeping all the characters straight. There is a list of who is who at the beginning of the book, but on a Kindle that is less helpful than in a paper book that you can just flip easily to. Michelle and Chelsea each are in relationships, but also each have a couple of male friends, and sometimes its hard to keep track of who is who and how they relate all together because of switching between Chelsea and Michelle's perspectives.
At times I found Michelle's character a little bit hard to bear. She is a bit of a bull in a china shop, plowing ahead without thinking about the consequences or the effect of those actions/consequences on those around her.
There is also a lot going on in the story. In addition to the main "mystery" they want to solve, there is also several sub mysteries that generally seem to relate to the main plot, but can make it hard to follow at times. (Again, switching perspectives adds to the chaos because in one chapter you are thinking about an issue one way, but in the next chapter, you get it from another angle)
The themes of faith are strong in this book, but also at times feel a bit overbearing because of the tangle of bad doctrine and poor translation, as well as peoples own experiences clouding their understanding/use of scripture.
There is a lot of romantic relationship discussion in the book, which is fine, but sometimes it feels like because one sister has a super strong feeling about a particular area of relationships, that the other has almost the polar opposite stance. I can see how that can happen, but it felt a little tedious at times. I wish the sisters had been a little bit more balanced so they didn't always feel like they were just playing out opposing sides of a debate.
Overall, this was an enjoyable story and I enjoyed seeing how the mysteries unfolded and were resolved. I liked how the characters relationships grew and changed throughout the book.
It is a good read, and a nice cozy mystery that is clean and while the characters romances are prevalent parts of the story, they don't cross boundaries (generally) as you would expect in this genre of book.

I’m not the biggest mystery person, but I’ve been enjoying this series a lot and therefore was happy to read this new book. My favourite part was the characters, hands down. I liked the banter (most of the time) and the interactions between the different characters. (Let the record show that I’m voting for Kyle and Shawn.) The last (bonus) chapter and the scene about telling the twins apart especially made me smile.
The first half left me a little disappointed regarding the themes. I was missing any mention that God would be the one to protect them. I was missing any mention of being thankful that God had protected them. And I was missing the whole element of praying about life decisions (i.e. who to date). I did appreciate the venture into the topic of truth and almost-truth and how that was explored in different characters. Definitely thought-provoking!
The story was engaging to the end, and the resolution surprised me, whilst still making sense. I’m looking forward to the next book!

I enjoyed this latest installment in the Chelsea and Michelle mysteries. The characters are fun to read and I like the two points of view, the real life relationships and struggles that were portrayed. The mystery was good and kept me guessing until the end.

So fun! I could not put this down. I was trying to save it for a long airport layover and somehow got about 40% done before I left on the trip. Oops. But it did keep me occupied for several more hours while traveling.
As far as the mystery goes, this one for sure keeps you guessing until the very end. I also love the subplot mystery that’s carried through this whole series, and the relationship arcs. Excited to see where all that goes.
My only critique: this book is SO unrealistic.

As an ARC reader, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Skeletons We Find, but this delightful mystery completely won me over. What began as an intriguing puzzle quickly became a heartwarming story filled with memorable characters, genuine emotion, and plenty of charm.
One of my favorite aspects of the book was the beautiful blend of family and found-family relationships. The connections between the characters felt authentic and meaningful, creating a strong emotional core that made me care deeply about their journeys. Themes of forgiveness, acceptance, and second chances added depth to the story, while the whimsical banter and humor kept the pages turning and brought many smiles along the way.
I also appreciated the emphasis on charity, kindness, and generosity toward those in need. These elements enriched the narrative and highlighted the importance of compassion and community without ever feeling heavy-handed.
The mystery itself was engaging, but it was the characters and their relationships that truly made this book shine. Full of heart, humor, and hope, Skeletons We Find is a wonderful read that I highly recommend to YA readers and anyone who enjoys a mystery with emotional depth and a lovable cast of characters.

Excellent addition to the series!
Mystery, Faith, humor, found family, a little romance, this story has it all! Every time I read the newest book in this series, I think this is the best one, and this one is no different! I really enjoyed reading this story, it kept me smiling with the bantering, sweet moments between friends, and the crazy shenanigans these characters get into! But just because it’s fun, don’t think that the mystery and suspense are lacking. You will go down several squirrel holes as you follow false leads and suspicious behaviors, only to realize it’s a dead end. While each book is a stand alone mystery, the books are better read in order. There are romantic interests and an underlying mystery that threads through all the books. I always look forward to the next installment of the Watson Twins and highly recommend these books!

Great cozy mystery with lots of faith elements throughout the story. I love how just having the chapters/verses led me to my Bible immediately to see what the scripture said. I like the short chapters. This was my first by Chelsea Michelle and I really enjoyed it! I will be reading more soon. No spice, I would let my 14 year old daughter read it.

It took me a long time to read this one, not because of disinterest, but it’s very, very long.
It’s best to read the other books and novellas first so you don’t miss out on important details that carry on throughout the series. Also, it’s easier to see each character’s growth or regression.
This book is full of characters who are at different places in their Christian walk, strongly evidenced by their actions and speech. The characters don’t shy away from discussing faith, and I appreciated the topic of legalism and the misuse of scripture to either control others or even to make excuses for their own actions or behavior.
The mystery was interesting and the resolution was satisfying.
Looking forward to the next book!

Skeletons We Find is part of a series about the Watson Twins. While this book can be a stand alone I suggest reading the previous book to get acquainted with the Twins and the Friends Group. Though this is Book 2 in the mystery series, there are other books with the twins, to be enjoyed as well.
This book is a fun, cozy, faith filled, romance mystery with a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed the mystery part the most but the romance is well written.
If you enjoy suspense/mystery with romance and a faith base..this book is for you.

If you like to be an amateur reading sleuth along with the characters in a Christian cozy mystery series, this book is for you! (Though I do recommend reading the backlist too!)
The Watson twins are at it again. Michelle is 100% committed as usual, and though Chelsea still isn't completely on board, after finding a skeleton buried on Nate's maternity home property, she decides to do what she can to help solve a seventeen-year-old cold case along with the whole Dinner Detective group.
This story is full of suspects, threats, amateur detective work, a fun friend group, and even some romance. I enjoyed seeing the character development and changes from previous books, and the mystery itself kept me guessing and included some suspense, laughs, and interesting plot twists along the way. I also appreciated the biblical themes that the authors developed without it feeling too cringey--the characters were working through their issues biblically instead of trying to teach the reader directly. The only negative for me is that there are occasional missing tag lines that sometimes made it difficult to figure out who is speaking when.
This series has a mixture of Scooby Doo/Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys' vibes. If you like these, you'll probably enjoy the Watson Twin Mystery series too!

This was a good cozy mystery book that had a few surprises that I wasn't expecting. I wasn't expecting the religious relationship aspect in the story. Being set in the Bible belt I should've realized, but I didn't. It was an interesting story, and the mystery kept me guessing. So yes I did enjoy the book.

Skeletons We Find is the fifth book I've read by Chelsea Michelle, and I really enjoyed the continuation of the series! I wouldn't recommend reading this as a standalone, though, since there are a lot of characters and relationships that are introduced in the previous books. If you're interested in starting the series, keep an eye out for deals posted by the authors!
This cozy mystery was longer than the previous books and will definitely keep you guessing about who the murderer is. I was genuinely surprised! I thought the authors did a fantastic job wrapping up the mystery.
The whole friend group was fun, but there are so many characters now that it became a little confusing at times.
The faith element was very strong and will challenge you to think about what you believe. I also appreciated that the authors showed characters in the cult using Scripture out of context and included correction to address those misinterpretations.
And lastly, Jeremy. I'm still trying to figure him out, but I'm not sure if this is another Eric situation where everyone is assuming the wrong thing. Hopefully, we'll find out in the next book!

Great book
Another great Chelsea Michelle mystery. I loved it. I have been hooked on this series since the first mini mystery. This time I was almost positive who the killer was, but then they flipped the story and that wasn't who it was. I was shocked at the end. You will want to grab this book if you love a shocking ending to a sweet cozy mystery.

Skeltons We Find is the second book in the Watson Twins Mysteries. If you love a great cozy mystery, then you don’t want to miss this story. You will find yourself laughing, rooting for the characters, and trying to figure out who might have done it, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
After Nate has been through the wringer in the last book, losing his stepdad and being accused of murdering him. The friendship between Nate and the twins has grown. Nate is turning one of his stepfather’s houses into a single mother’s home. But as they start construction, Chelsea finds a skeleton. The investigation is underway. Through the investigation, lots of things are unearthed. Michelle keeps getting into trouble.
Michelle and Chelsea are at odds, and the thing coming between them is their relationship. Michelle’s boyfriend is not a Christian, and Chelsea is concerned for her.

Over the past few years, I’ve enjoyed getting to know Chelsea, Michelle, and the whole gang through this mystery series. Each character is unique, and as the series goes on, I feel like I’m getting a better grasp on who these characters are. With the first few books, I mentally complained about the fact that from one book to the next, I couldn’t keep track of who was who—I had to get to know each character all over again with each installment. With Coffee We Spill and now Skeletons We Find, that’s changed—I felt like I really got to know these characters on a deeper level, and that was such fun!
The mystery in this book was great. I’m not one to solve a mystery (my brain doesn’t think that way), so the resolution was a bit of a surprise to me. I loved the redemptive arc that unexpectedly popped up in these pages; that, too, was surprising, and definitely heartwarming.
There were so many other delightful moments, too. This group of friends finally gets an official name (YES!!), and I loved how Nate and Michelle “fought” over who would lead the group—it was fun to see Nate move from an outsider to one of the clan. I’m VERY curious as to what happens to Shawn in the next book (authors, if you’re reading this, please keep him around!). I laughed out loud a few times, such as the sweaty hug moment (SO funny!), or Michelle texting “I’m alive” (just in case Jeremy worried too much)—um, yeah, very reassuring!
Oh, yes…and the text messages. There’s a lot of texting in this book, and that may be one of my favorite side elements. I loved getting to experience the story “real time” with the characters like that.
I appreciated that the authors were willing to tackle some heavier topics, like cult mentality, in this story. I did feel like some of the discussions were a little heavy-handed at times, but I’m guessing a lot of my discomfort comes from the fact that I live relatively close to a cult, frequently interact with ex-members, and occasionally with current members, which gives me a slightly different perspective than the norm.
Be prepared that this is a longer book, but it’s worth it. You get to go deeper with the characters and experience a lot of everyday life alongside the mystery/investigation, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, be prepared to stay up late reading—I got caught up in the story several times, and even dreamed about it briefly one night (thankfully, it’s a cozy mystery, so that was alright!). Recommended!

The mystery in this book was great. I’m not one to solve a mystery (my brain doesn’t think that way), so the resolution was a bit of a surprise to me. I loved the redemptive arc that unexpectedly popped up in these pages; that, too, was surprising, and definitely heartwarming.
There were so many other delightful moments, too. This group of friends finally gets an official name (YES!!), and I loved how Nate and Michelle “fought” over who would lead the group—it was fun to see Nate move from an outsider to one of the clan. I’m VERY curious as to what happens to Shawn in the next book (authors, if you’re reading this, please keep him around!). I laughed out loud a few times, such as the sweaty hug moment (SO funny!), or Michelle texting “I’m alive” (just in case Jeremy worried too much)—um, yeah, very reassuring!
Oh, yes…and the text messages. There’s a lot of texting in this book, and that may be one of my favorite side elements. I loved getting to experience the story “real time” with the characters like that.
I appreciated that the authors were willing to tackle some heavier topics, like cult mentality, in this story. I did feel like some of the discussions were a little heavy-handed at times, but I’m guessing a lot of my discomfort comes from the fact that I live relatively close to a cult, frequently interact with ex-members, and occasionally with current members, which gives me a slightly different perspective than the norm.
Be prepared that this is a longer book, but it’s worth it. You get to go deeper with the characters and experience a lot of everyday life alongside the mystery/investigation, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, be prepared to stay up late reading—I got caught up in the story several times, and even dreamed about it briefly one night (thankfully, it’s a cozy mystery, so that was alright!). Recommended!

I'm absolutely loving the Watson Twins mystery series by Chelsea Michelle, both the mini mysteries and the full length mysteries. Skeletons We Find is the second full length novel, and I think it might be my favorite mystery so far. Each of these stories has a mystery that is introduced and solved in the course of the book. However, there is one mystery that has kept the reader guessing since the first book. And I have to tell you, I really want to know for sure what's going on. Plus, as the series has progressed we have seen character development and relationship development, so you will want to read this series in the recommended order.
In Skeletons We Find the twins Chelsea and Michelle are helping with a remodel of a house that will become a home for single moms. There is some controversy about the use of this property, but that isn't the biggest issue. As the house is being worked on, a skeleton is unearthed, temporarily halting work on the home and opening up a decades old cold case.
The twins and their friends, now dubbed the Dinner Detectives, start sneakily investigating possible suspects, making themselves targets of some concerning threats, to the dismay of their friend Kyle, who happens to be a police officer. There are quite a few suspects and I have to say, this story kept me guessing right up to the big reveal. Quite the shock actually. Which is awesome.
Faith is very important in the lives of most of the main characters, and they pray and go to church. However, there are also community members that are a part of a cult, which brings for some interesting suspicions and interactions. Additionally, legalism is an issue. I love that the importance of grace is discussed. Also, one of the twins is in a relationship that brings up the concern of a believer being involved with an unbeliever, so I am really wanting to see how the authors deal with that in the future.

Get ready for another spine-tingling sleuthing adventure with the Watson twins! Don’t let the cute cover fool you, this book is packed with edge-of-your-seat suspense, multiple suspects, a decades-old murder, sweet romance, & a touch of faith. I loved finding myself back in Maple Springs for another exciting whodunit. It’s a fun cozy mystery featuring twins who are as different as night & day, yet somehow always find themselves in the middle of another murder investigation.
When Chelsea & Michelle help their friend Nate with a renovation project, Chelsea’s shocked to discover a skeleton on the property. Forensics determines it’s the body of a woman who disappeared over 17 years ago. Suddenly, Nate’s deceased father becomes the chief suspect, but as the twins dig deeper to clear his name, they uncover multiple suspects with motives, including the woman’s friends, a creepy religious cult leader still practicing nearby, & even Chelsea’s boyfriend. As threats mount against them, the twins must find the murderer before they become the next victims.
I thoroughly enjoyed this twist-filled whodunit! Chelsea & Michelle are complete opposites but work so well together. Chelsea wants nothing to do with another mystery, while Michelle dives right in. I loved seeing Chelsea become more involved in the investigation, & I especially enjoyed their dynamic. They both mean well, but with complicated love lives, they can’t help offering each other advice.
The mystery is filled with suspects, motives, & red herrings. Just when I thought I’d figured things out, a new discovery would change everything. I loved piecing together the clues alongside the twins. The suspense was intense, especially when Chelsea believes she’s alone with a killer & Michelle appears to have a stalker. Add in a creepy cult leader & friends hiding secrets, & it makes for one nail-biting adventure.
I also enjoyed Michelle’s faith journey & the new changes in Chelsea’s life. Can’t wait to see what happens next! Perfect for adults & older teens alike. Though part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I received an advanced copy from the authors but also borrowed in Kindle Unlimited. All opinions are my own & provided voluntarily.

While this book can technically be read as a standalone, there are references to events that happen in previous books. Since I haven't read many of the pervious books, there were times that I felt like I was dropped in the middle of the story without context.
The mystery was interesting. While helping to renovate a a house, Chelsea found the dead body of a missing girl from a cold case 17 years ago. I did figure out some of the parts of the mystery, however, I didn't figure out who done it.
This is a Christian faith based book. While I do like faith based stories, this one felt over the top and kind of took away from the mystery/solving of the cold case for me. I like when characters rely on their faith to help them through trails and/or difficult times. I think what got me was when Chelsea was saying that feelings shouldn't be part of deciding if you love someone and since the guy was a good guy and a strong Christian that she should want to be with him and marry him. The majority of the time, we get our own inspiration through our feelings. And 100% feelings should be considered in the decision of who you are going to date and marry.
I also struggled when they had Eric talk about how it would probably be sinful to want or own a house with more than one bedroom and bathroom. There were also several debates about what constituted as sinful behavior or not. And the underlying message that if you weren't Christian there was a level of unworthiness and that friendship wasn't an option.
I also felt like there was a layer of hypocrisy among the characters, especially Michelle and Chelsea when it came to their boyfriends. They wanted everyone to understand where they were coming from, but it seemed they were unwilling to try to understand where someone else was coming from. This made is super hard for me to connect with the characters or really care what happened to them.
I really wanted to the focus of this book to be more on the mystery than on the Christian religious debates.

Whew! That was quite a book! It was long (loved that!), it had more than one mystery, sort of (more things to figure out!), and it had a wonderful group of friends (favorite part!).
Chelsea and Michelle are both in relationships. I disliked the one relationship and have since it started. The other I never really liked, but it didn’t jar on me like the other one even though I’m getting a little annoyed by it.
And the mystery! I did get something figured out before the group did. And I made a guess about another thing and while it wasn’t quite right, it was much closer to the truth than others suspected, so that was fun.
There are a lot of vastly different views on issues in this book. Some good discussions about things like kissing and friendships, judging others and giving grace. I often found myself annoyed with Michelle even though in some areas I’m more like her than Chelsea. Michelle has very strong opinions and most of the time refuses to listen to anyone else who disagrees with her. But she loves passionately and wants to help those who are suffering and hurting. Chelsea annoyed me a few times because she wants to control and guide her twin as though she’s the mom, instead of speaking the truth in love and then letting the Lord work in Michelle. I can understand her fear that Michelle will do the wrong thing, but I’ve also been on the other side where someone comes across as judgmental instead of just loving and being there for you.
There were times in the book that I wasn’t sure I was going to like it because of things going on, but by the end, the characters had grown, I got to see things from multiple sides, and now I can’t wait to read the next book.

One of my favorite things about these books is every book has a completed mystery, while there is also a mystery that is unraveling through out the entire series at the same time. Which makes them so much better to read in order! The rom-com aspect mixed with the mystery just makes this series a instant favorite! I gotta say I can not belive how this book left one of the twins love lives and I seriously need to know what is going to happen, oh the wait is going to be forever!

Skeletons We Find has a lot of focus on God's unwavering forgiveness. I enjoyed how the book was centered around God in a way that was not preachy, it is a important part of the characters lives and naturally grows out of that. The Twins go to a, what I am guessing, is a non denominational church so the theology in the book reflects that but is not to heavy handed, mostly in regards to talk of acceptance of God. So many good points and reminders of God's love in this book.
I very much enjoyed how the characters have grown in this series. It has branched out to a whole group and I am excited to learn more about them all in the next book. This series has great character growth and development and I am hooked! I have one line that just can not stop running through my head in regards to one of the twins boyfriends, this is going to be such a long wait to see what that is about!
The authors generously gifted a copy of the book to my ever growing horde of books takeing over my house. My opinions, like my book horde, are large, uncontrollable, and all mine!

💛ARC review 💛 5 ⭐️ Alllllll the stars!!! I love this series, and this may be my favorite installment in the series yet! The cold case was really interesting, and I was intrigued from the beginning. The clues were all there; it was fun trying to solve the case before them (I did not solve the case first 😂). Chelsea was an unusual source of drama this book since she’s usually the steady sister. She handled it with grace and maturity. It needed to happen the way it did. I’m very intrigued where her story is going; I have strong opinions. Michelle had some interesting dynamics develop this book. Not as much changed for Michelle, and her drama was all the usual 😂 she has some serious decisions to make, and I’m excited to see her grow through them. I was really pleased with some of the thoughts that she’s wrestling with now even if she hasn’t made a decision about them yet. I also have opinions about where her storyline should go, although they’re a little less sure than Chelsea’s as I see two strong positive options for her. I love the friend group that’s developed and the unique dynamic they all bring. This is a fun and heartwarming book. Truly a cozy mystery that will not leave you feeling on edge or spooked, but has just enough intrigue and drama to keep you fully invested! Another outstanding installment in the Watson twin series by @chelseamichellemysteries !! I highly recommend reading in their recommended order if you’re new to the series. Skeletons We Find by Chelsea Michelle is the second book I have read in the Watson Twins mysteries series. In this story, the twins uncover a decades old mystery when they dig up a skeleton of a missing woman. Michelle, the sleuthing twin, decides that they must find the culprit of this crime and gathers all their friends to form the “Dinner Detectives". This full-length novel is full of lots of suspense, danger, and sweet and clean romance!
I enjoy reading the Watson Twins mysteries because they are clean Christian fiction that tell a very compelling narrative. These books rise above the rest because they are not predictable at all, yet the answer to the mystery is well thought-out so it is believable too! The two main characters, Chelsea and Michelle, are twins but, in many ways, they could not be more different. Their personality differences create a clever and enjoyable story which is very unique.
This novel is the second full length book in the Watson Twins Mystery. The other full length mystery is The Transactions We Expose. The four mini-mysteries in the series are: Hours We Regret, Chaos We Unravel, Coffee We Spill, and Ghosts We Unmask (forth-coming). I have only read Skeletons We Find and Coffee We Spill but I am excited to go back and read the backlist. I would highly suggest starting from the beginning of the series with Hours We Regret as the books do reference each other.

I have recently been looking for a Christian mystery series that has a cozy feel to it, and…The Watson Twin Mysteries Series did the trick! I love them so much. I read the mini mystery, Hours We Regret, a few days ago, and couldn’t believe how good it was. I love Chelsea and Michelle’s sister relationship. They remind me of a grown up version of Mary Kate and Ashley Olson from The New Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley series. When I received a free copy of Skeletons We Find, I was very excited! I am also very happy to say that it was just as strong as the first book. The characters are funny, the romance is intriguing, and the mystery kept me guessing almost the entire time. I love the way the authors strategically place faith lined messages throughout the book. It felt natural, unlike some books where you feel that they have to make the characters suffer through horrible ordeals in order to make the message come out well. This felt very relatable. I highly recommend this book, as well as the rest of the series, to all Christian mystery lovers. It won’t disappoint!

I enjoyed this fun mystery, and the shenanigans thevgirls got up to in the process of solving it. These girls are about as opposite as they can be. Michelle is a bit of a bull in a China shop - rushing into situations without really thinking ahead (consequences for herself AND others seems to excape her). Chelsea, on the other hand, second guesses everything, almost to the point if being frozen on decision making. Michelle, as usual, managed to drag Chelsea into this mystery, and the story benefited immensely. The Dinner Detectives group was fabulous, and I liked seeing the interactions between the characters. Those interactions, for the most part, were the biggest strength of this book. The mystery was interesting, and kept me guessing (though I admit having an inkling significantly before the girl). I have mixed feelings about how their dating relationships were handled (you'll understand when you read it). Neither girl impressed me on that front. The multiple sub-mysteries that threaded through the story kept me intrigued, and motivated to learn the solution. Overall, a highly satisfying read.

Whenever I seem to have a bad reading slump, I remember the absolute joy I feel when reading a Chelsea Michelle mystery. The Watson twins and their friend group will forever make me giggle at what they get up to. And I wish I could join them!! This book was packed full of suspense and drama that will keep you guessing the whole way to the end! But if I must convince you to read this series, here are some pros (btw, there are no cons):
- The writing style is so easy to read that you don't notice you have inhaled half the book in one afternoon.
- You will relate to at least one of the characters in the group.
- They are always having a deep discussion about something faith related.
- They have unhinged conversations that leave you reeling with laughter or cringing from embarassment.
- There is a form at the end of each book so you can write down your thoughts and theories.

The Chelsea Michelle mysteries are multi-layered so I’m going to use a bulleted list to catch everything:
1) The special give and take that only exists between two best friends, or in this case a set of twins.
2) A study in contrasts with one twin being the steady, responsible one and the other the impulsive, mischievous one.
3) A mystery that I never figured out – but I like not knowing till everything is wrapped up!
4) Character development – for the twins and their circle of friends.
5) A clear explanation of the faith the twins share and try to live by.
6) Struggles in that faith –wanting to follow Biblical principles but not necessarily sure how.
7) At least one scene in every book that is so tender and heart-warming it makes me tear up.
8) Finally, a mystery that pops up over and over in the mini mysteries and the full length ones – this mystery started in the very first mini mystery and shows no sign of being solved in the near future.
Once I get to the part of the book where the mystery is fully developed and the characters have set about solving it – even though one of their circle is a cop, he still seems to need their help – I have a hard time putting it down!
