The end of the hellhounds leaves questions
I would have given this one more star but I felt there were a few too many threads left open for it to feel like a proper ending.
Now it's possible there'll be crossover into the new series that's coming soon, as there was with this one and the other supernatural series, so I'll reserve judgement.
I liked Jude and Paul a lot, they had me smiling throughout with Jude's antics and Paul's inability to ignore him.
The relationship development is slow-ish for a little bit, but then picks up nicely alongside the main plotline.

I love this series so much, but this one was kind of lacking for me. Jude and Pauls story has been teased from book 1 i think and even though it follows the path of the others where there is a mystery to solve, and their love keeps growing i found the beatles references too cringey

✨May contain spoilers✨
I have been waiting for Paul and Jude’s book since I finished the previous book not too long ago and man; this one did not disappoint. I love me a good grumpy/sunshine pairing, especially when sunshine Jude has been flirting with Paul in the last several books.
And the twist at the end with Paul. I totally wasn’t expecting that. Let’s just say that he’s far more interesting than I could ever thought.
I absolutely love the found family in this book and how we get the lovely cameos from the previous books. Freaking Fluffy as usual made me laugh when he shifted to his human self and back to his dog form.
The way that Paul found out about Jude and shooting him had me laughing. I cannot even be shocked that was going to be his reaction.
I absolutely love Jude so much. His personality is just a roller coaster of chaos and shenanigans. Although, it worked for Paul when he realized that Jude wanted him no matter what.
The tail play is as usual a fun time during the spicy scenes. These two were perfection when they finally gave into their desires.
I’m sad to see this series is over and I really wished that this book was a bit longer but that’s just me.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

A Joyfully Jay review.
4 stars
How to Catch a Hellhound is the sixth and final book in Shannon Mae’s Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series and I think things wrap up nicely here. Mae has been teasing Jude and Paul’s story for a while now, so I have been eager to see these guys get together. Paul and Jude make a fun pair and I think Mae does a good job making Jude’s persistance and flirtatiousness feel charming and not pushy. It is clear that Paul is into Jude and that he finds him endearing, not annoying. Jude is full of sunshine, while Paul tends to be on the grumpier end, and I liked the little moments where Paul smiles despite himself at Jude’s antics, or is able to let down his guard a little around Jude.
We get a nice moment at the end of the book where we see the whole group and their mates, which brings things together nicely. I have enjoyed this series a lot and it has been a fun introduction for me to Mae’s writing. I look forward to following along with more of her work.

How to Catch a Hellhound is the final book in the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series, and I’ve been waiting for Jude and Paul’s book for what feels like forever! 😊
Who doesn’t love a good grumpy/sunshine pairing?! And these two are such a fun example of it. Jude has been shamelessly flirting with Paul for several books now. He mostly done it by annoying the hell out of Paul, and his particular brand of chaos had me entertained throughout the book. Jude’s Beatles references, the teasing, the complete lack of shame... it all worked so well! And the fact that Paul eventually started giving as good as he got? Meant to be! 🤗❤️
Poor Paul really goes through it in this one, though. There are some unexpected things happening to him, and I loved seeing Jude be there for him through all of it. Jude may be a bit chaotic and very much himself, but I loved how supportive he was when Paul’s world was turned upside down. 🥰🤗 After all that build-up, it was lovely to finally see these two give in to their feelings. 🥰
There were also a couple of reveals involving Paul that I absolutely did not see coming. 😮 He turned out to be far more interesting than I expected! 🤭 I just wish some of that had been explored a little more. That said, the mystery kept me hooked, and the ending definitely gave me a surprise or two.
As always, I loved the found family and getting to see so many familiar faces from the previous books. I was especially happy to see more of the hellhounds and the rest of the pack. 🤗
My one complaint is that I wish this book had been longer. A few things felt a little rushed, and I would have happily spent more time with Jude and Paul, especially after waiting so many books for them to finally get together.
I’m also very sad that this is the end of the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series. I’m really going to miss this particular brand of chaos, and I’m just not quite ready to say goodbye to the pack yet. ❤️
I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my unbiased review.

I was really really really looking forward to this book.
Jude and his family are a pack of hellhounds who can sense evil souls and they are responsible for taking these evil people to “hell”. Jude has been “fighting” (really it’s their way of “flirting”) with the town Sheriff, Paul, since the moment we have known them. Paul doesn’t know about the paranormal universe but he has suddenly discovered that he can “sense” bad people and during one of these occurrences his senses overtake him and he ends up in a situation where Jude comes to his aid.
First things first, I love how straightforward this book is. There is no misunderstandings or miscommunications. We have a situation then we get a resolution. Both Jude and Paul are serious great grownup adults who have nice adult conversations. Phewwww.
We have met Jude and Paul in all the previous books and all the pranks that Jude gets up to so that he can get Paul’s attention - because Paul is so good at ignoring all of Jude’s antics. So… I was hoping for a lot here. But there story is missing … heart. It is so unromantic. Where are all the feelings I was expecting?
This book has quite an interesting background story. The MCs themselves are both amazing. And the great writing and rapport is all there. The family and pack dynamics is out of this world like a big warm hug. But. I haven’t got an inkling of emotional tension or connection.
I think it’s a little sad that my favourite moment in this entire book was when Paul went back to Cassius’ coffee shop and his interaction with Aiden and Fluffy/Atlas behind the shop made me laugh so hard. Also, near the end the homie-ness and domesticity between Jude and Paul is sooo cute. BUT…. I didn’t get FEELINGS.
Anyways. Was still great read and I think I’m going to go and reread Aiden/Atlas’ book now.

Finally we get Jude and Paul! Poor Jude has spent many books causing all sorts of chaos and mayhem with his very particular way of flirting that it all finally comes to a head! Paul starts having some interesting things happen to him that he doesn't understand and it sends him into a bit of a panic, but Jude is there to be his steady rock and help him through.
I really like this book, I just wished it was longer! I would have loved more details, some parts seemed rushed to me! Also I'm little upset we didn't get the on page scene of Jude knotting Paul for the first time! Like really! How could you deny me that little morsel of goodness!!!! 😭 But we did get the mating scene so Im not too mad 😂
This was a great addition to this series! I am sad it's over!

I wasn't really looking forward to this book - Jude has been too much of a comic character for me. I enjoyed it more than I expected to, though - the relationship was fun and sweet once they were on the same page.

Here's Shannon Mae's latest book, "How to Catch a Hellhound," which is the sixth and final book in her series Hellhounds of Paradise Falls (which is a spin-off series from Demonic Disasters and Afterlife Adventures).
["Paul
I’m not exactly sure how I became sheriff of Paradise Falls, but I take the protection of the people in my town seriously. That even includes Jude, who’s constantly pulling pranks in the hopes of getting arrested. I know he’s flirting with me, but how can someone as damaged as me be a match for his eternal good cheer? Never mind the fact that I may also be losing my mind—I’m getting crazy feelings about people, and the urge to act on them is getting stronger. My goal has always been to save people, not to harm them. Something is changing, though, and I’m not sure who I am anymore.
Jude
Being an assassin and a hellhound is all-around fun, and teasing my sexy sheriff makes my life complete. Lately, though, something’s been wrong with Paul. He’s been cranky and secretive, and I’m determined to get to the bottom of it. Is something from Paul’s past haunting him? Because if someone needs killing, then I’ll be happy to do it. Although maybe it’s time to show the sheriff what he’s really capable of. He’s a kindred spirit—I can sense it—and I’m only too happy to show him how hellhounds take care of the bad guys."]
And the official tags (because they're the best): ["Sheriff Paul can sense things; Jude is, as always, ridiculous; there are numerous Beatle references, so get ready to have songs stuck in your head; Jude is the happiest assassin you’ll ever meet; these two have explosive chemistry; Paul might kill Jude (or at least shoot him); the entire pack is there for all the fun; Paul isn’t exactly what he appears; Oracles give the vaguest advice; trying to get arrested is Jude’s love language."]
I love how literally everyone is like "finally" to Jude about him and Patrick when they technically weren't even together-together yet. Just covering up a murder of a hell-bound soul. Semantics.
And I loved how literally no one in the pack was shocked by Patrick's reaction to seeing hellhound-Jude for the first time. No one. Just Jude. Maybe Crow.
I loved how this series ended. It was mysterious and odd and left us with a few additional mysteries and unfinished plot points.
Trigger Warnings: torture, death, maiming, traumatic backstories, paranoia, mentions of human and sex trafficking, and more. Does the Chosen One get a harem? Does Luce get his HEA?

This was another fun addition to the series! With this one especially, I think you need to have read the prior books in the series. The ‘flirting’ between Jude and Paul has been going on since the first book and I think the fairly quick progression of their relationship in this one makes more sense when you know their kind of silly history with each other.
Paul (Walrus) ❤️ Jude
So Jude is a quirky, funny, lighthearted hellhound who loves flirting w Paul, the local sheriff. He’s convinced that he’s his soulmate and does all kinds of little things just to stay around him - visiting him at the station, trying to get arrested for various ridiculous things. It’s been an ongoing gag between them.
In their story, Paul suddenly develops the ability to smell bad people and he seems unable to stop himself from tracking them down. Jude notices this - because he notices everything about Paul - and they start to work together to find a serial killer of sorts.
It’s silly, funny, heart-warming and filled w the gang from the previous books.
- No third act breakup
- All the communication
- Cute small moments
- Fated mates
- MM - Paul (bi)/Jude (gay)
- No OM/OW
- Some un-aliving of bad guys
- Supernatural characters
- Lots of spice - Vers; full consent, open door, knotting, mating
- Dual POV/HEA.
- So many Beatles references woven throughout the entire story
Fun, lighthearted, mildly dark romance where only super bad guys die.
I dropped a star because it felt a bit short to me.

Sixth and finale in series (Hellhounds of Paradise Falls), best if read in order. Paranormal. Mates. Grumpy/sunshine. Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
Beatle lyrics and getting arrested is Jude’s love language, and he hopes to woo his mate, the local sheriff. But Paul doesn’t know anything about the supernatural world, until he starts wanting his own vigilante justice and finds out hellhounds exist and he’s falling for one.
I was looking forward to this couple and this story did not disappoint. Jude is as irreverent as ever and the long flirting courtship (during previous books and this one) was funny and sweet if a little unhinged. Paul is an upstanding protector and once he realizes everything Jude has told him about killing and the supernatural is true he takes a moment but never wavers from trusting Jude. I enjoyed every moment they were on page together. This was an entertaining read, and I’m sad to see this series end as I really loved every couple’s romance story. 4.5 rounded up

How to Catch a Hellhound Shannon Mae October 1 gave 5 stars
How to Catch a Hellhound is the 6th and final book in the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is Jude a hellhound and Paul the human sheriff's story. I couldn't put this book down once I started it because I have been waiting for Jude's story for a while now. Jude is such a fun character full of chaos. I loved all his Beatles song references. Paul has been dealing with Jude's chaotic flirting style for quite a while now. I loved watching these two work together to build a relationship. I loved the chemistry between these two. I have loved the found family aspects of the whole series. This book had some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. I wish the book had been longer so I could keep all the family with me for a little more time. I am truly going to miss this series but I know I will be adding it to my reread list. I can't wait to see what Shannon Mae writes next. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads.

This was fun but also bittersweet since this is the last book in this series and I've come to really love this pack of hellhounds and their mates. I've been excited and waiting for Paul and Jude's story from the start. It was always fun seeing Jude tease and be a nuisance for Paradise Falls sheriff Paul. I can't count the times these two have made me laugh in previous books. I'm happy to see that Jude has continued his annoying (to Paul) ways and finally Paul has come around and dropped his walls. Despite how Jude portrays himself, he can be quiet, smart and very attentive, and also he can be a caretaker to Paul who can get obsessed with his cases.
I did not see the twist coming at the end, but it makes a lot of sense for this story and the hellhound and afterlifer world the book is set in.
If you enjoy hellhounds being hellhounds, a sheriff who finds out new things about himself, and a great found family with lots of great banter and great vibes then this is the book for you.

I started reading the book in the morning, and i (sadly) already finished it, because i could NOT put it down, even as i made myself breakfast, ate, or even went to the bathroom. It was just as awesome as the others in the series. I've been so excited about this one, and it didn't disappoint. It was awesome. And of course, it makes me sad that this series is over, even while i'm also excited about any future books in this universe. I wish for more books as awesome as the ones by Shannon Mae. I also wish i could be more...well, better with words, so that i could describe the book better in my reviews, rather than simply saying that they're awesome and i couldn't put them down. But i guess i'm just not like that, so i hope that saying such simple things are enough, and they can still tell people that the books are an amazing read and totally worth reading, and that this author is worth being put on your Favorite Authors list. Shannon Mae is totally on that list for me.

I cannot believe the series is over but what an awesome conclusion. Jude knew Paul, the sheriff, was his mate and tried very hard to get him arrested by pulling pranks. When Paul told him that he will no longer be at the speed traps, Jude had to up his game. With one of Paul’s old cases of the baddie being let go, he was devastated. When a business man wanted to open up a business in Paradise Falls, Paul kept smelling the same thing he did at the old case. Paul saved someone that was in his clutches and Jude helped him. This is the start of their relationship with Paul finding out about hellhounds and afterlifers. I really loved this series and looking forward to reading more by this author.

This was another great installment in an absolutely wonderful series! A new Shannon Mae book is always a good time and this one was no different. In this last (gasp, sniff sniff) book in her Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series, we finally get the long-awaited story of Jude and his cheriff, Paul. Boy, was it worth the wait. It's exciting, it's swoony, it's funny, it has an appropriate amount of unaliving horrible people, and a fun twist surrounding our dear grumpy cheriff. What more can one ask for, really? (Aside from a thousand more books in this series and in this world in general...)
I'm sad that this series is over, but also excited to see what's next. And, let's be honest, finally get Lucifer's story too, which is part of the other series connected to this one. Can you read this book as a standalone? Technically yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. Because there is some sort of overarching story that connects all the books of both series, but also they're all great so like... why wouldn't you read them all. So go forth and read this book, or discover this wonderful series as a whole. You won't regret it.

How to Catch a Hellhound by Shannon Mae is the 6th book in her Hellhounds of Paradise Falls. I suggest you read the others first because of reoccurring characters and their jobs and to understand this world of afterlifers that she has created. Paul is the sheriff of Paradise Falls, a job he applied for after almost killing a suspect when he and his partner found him abusing a girl and a baby. Just before that he had smelled a horrid smell that led him to them. Being a good law-abiding citizen he knew he couldn’t stay in his job in the city, worried that he might be temped to shoot someone else. So he applied for and got the job in Paradise Falls, a place where, in his eyes, was full of weird people, but he loved the job and the town anyway. Then there was Jude. He was a member of the Smith clan, who in Paul’s opinion were some of the weirdest, and he was always after Paul, pranking him and trying to get his attention in provocative ways, not to mention always quoting Beatles’ songs which is how he got the name of Walrus. What he didn’t know was that Jude was a hellhound as were all his brothers and that their mates included an oracle, a suspense writer, a witch, and a grim reaper and ferryman. The hellhounds were always looking for hellbound souls, sending them to their afterlife in gruesome ways. Jude also hadn’t told Paul that he was his mate and that was the reason he was around him all the time, biding his time and getting under his skin until he would be able to figure this out. Paul had gotten some other information about another businessman who was not who he appeared to be and when he went to his house he smelled that bad smell again. He broke in and looked around and then found a girl in a hidden room. When the man showed up, he shot him. Jude had followed him and saw a distraught Paul who thought he should call the police. But Jude got him to leave and cleaned up the mess and Corbin did his witch thing and he woke up in Jude’s bed, still remembering what happened. Jude talked to him and told him he had killed a very evil man and had saved a girl and had protected others from him. Paul thought the Smiths were different and finally figured out they must be in special forces since they had so much information and finally asked Jude about it. Jude gave him a folder and told him he’s an assassin and when he sees a photo he smells the bad smell again. They go and find the guy and Jude knows he’s a hellbound soul, so he uses his knife in a not very nice way, and gets some information about what he has been up to. Paul realizes he needs to die so he leaves and Jude does his job and then cleans up. Paul realizes what he has done and worries he will kill an innocent person, but Jude, and then their oracle, Cassius, assures him he won’t. Things about his life are slowly revealed, like he had almost died and Sebby, the reaper, had helped to save him, and when he learns about the afterlifers in Paradise Falls he’s not sure he believes it, but too many weird things have been going on for him not to. He finds out that he was called to the town and became its sheriff for a reason and is meant to protect it. They are good guys but not everyone is. Then there are some random murders occurring in multiple states where the victims are dismembered and the pack is placed on the job to find out who it is and take him out. But before this happens Paul and Jude have been getting closer and Jude tells him he loves him to make him think about it. They have some hot love scenes and the more Paul reflects on how Jude has fit into his life, the more he realizes that maybe they are mates. Then together they start investigating the murders and visit some of the crime scenes where things aren’t adding up and they smell that an afterlifer is involved. Things come to a head in an epic scene where Paul does something amazing that solves the mystery and also finds out why he smells that bad smell. They then find out that their world is changing and the pack is going to have to be evolving in who they are looking for if someone needs to be sent to their after life. Then Jude and Paul claim each other and Paul becomes part of the pack and he is happy about that. I really enjoyed this book, as I have the others in the series. This is such a unique world with different afterlifers involved and how the hellhounds send people to the after life. They all have great personalities and Jude is quite sunny and happy and loves to prank and go after Paul. Paul has put up with him but hadn’t seen him as a love interest, only as someone who was annoying in a cute way. He also got all of Jude’s Beatles references and liked that he called him Walrus. He was quite upset that he was prone to kill people, especially since he was a sheriff, but as he gradually caught on to what Jude and his brothers were and what they did to hellbound souls, he saw saw that they were actually good people. He couldn’t figure out how he had changed until the end of the story, but when he did it was huge and he was ready to join the pack. And Jude eventually got Paul to realize he was his mate so everyone was happy. The hellhounds and their mates were also important to the story and added lots of shenanigans. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories about a hellhound who is searching for hellbound souls while pining for the sheriff, a sheriff who is clueless but soon catches on and then finds out something unbelievable about himself, and how they fall in love, just as they were fated to do.

How is it that authors always know which book readers are going to anticipate most in a series? It always seems that way. I have wanted to read Jude and Paul's story from Jude's very first "Walrus". The wait was totally worth it.
Paul came to Paradise Falls with a secret. A routine takedown of a drug dealer triggered something in him. Ever since, he was able to determine the guilt or innocence of a suspect by smell. Guilty people smelt like a mix of excrement, urine and cigarette smoke. Even a photo gave off the odor.
Jude was the youngest of the Smiths. He was raised human, by a wonderful, Beatles loving mom. Most likely a psychopath, he has no qualms happily torturing, killing and sending to hell the truly evil. He and his hellhound knew that Paul was his mate. Jude's love language is irritating Paul until the sheriff wanted to murder him. And quoting Beatle lyrics to him.
Not allowed to kidnap or "borrow" Paul (Q and Aiden said "No"), he puts a tracker on the sheriff's car. Precipitous, because he finds a shocky Paul who'd shot an unarmed man and watched him bleed out.
Things proceed quickly after that. The reveal doesn't go well. Paul shoots him. They take on a serial killer, which ends in two surprises. One of which is a new direction for the hellhounds. The kiss that came after Jude goes for Paul's gun was so hot. Once they finally went to bed, they didn't want to leave. And the spice. Kindle melting. As for all those Beatle lyrics, I almost swooned when Paul started answering him. Nothing like swapping lines while zip tying the baddies.
It was a satisfying series conclusion. There's a hint of another story or maybe series for Thea. So maybe we'll see the Smiths again.

great way to end the series

How to Catch a Hellhound is the conclusion to the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series by Shannon Mae and it’s absolutely one of my favorite stories of the series, a great way to finish it off.
Through the series we’ve been learning more about the different types of otherworldly beings who are living in Paradise Falls as well as following the Smith hellhounds as they each find their mate amid a mysterious new drama that comes their way and enlarges the current universe that everyone is familiar with.
That’s the story here. We get to see the events that brought Sheriff Paul to Paradise Falls, his perspective on Jude’s pursuit of him, and the town’s community itself. I always wanted his POV and this really connected me to him and see how they worked together as a couple. They absolutely meshed together so well, but it took them time.
Paul’s development is very much a terrific aspect of the story, not just the relationship. It pulls from past events and his and Jude’s storyline features importantly into further series and Paradise Falls itself.
There’s a great twist here and I really hope that it means we will see this couple as well as the other characters crossover into more of the forthcoming Paradise Falls series.
This is a great story and wonderful way to finish it all off. Highly recommended. As is everything else in the related Paradise Falls universe.

I can't believe this series is over but what an ending!
I kind of want to cry over the fact that this series is over. Since the very first book was announced I have been so unbelievably excited about the series and every book just made me even happier. It's so sweet and fun and heartwarming. The characters are lovable and weird in the best way with all their eccentricities so accepted by each other. This is found family at its best - blood family they may not be but they are as close a family as you could imagine and just as chaotic. Jude and Paul have been being hinted at (is it hinting really or more jumping and shouting lol?) for some time and they did not disappoint. Well, I say that but there were a few moments I have to admit I was a little disappointed in Paul. Leave it to Shannon though to create a character who can frustrate you one second and make you want to hug them the next. Paul had some things to work through but when he finally realised that Jude was there 100%, no matter what, it was really lovely to see them just be happy together (including with all the chaos that Jude brings). Jude, my sweet, funny, chaos baby - I absolutely adored him. I think after Dexter he's my absolute favourite just because he is such a pure and lovely guy. He's one of those characters who make you smile just by being on page. I know we'll get a few more bits and bobs from this world but I really do wish we could have endless hellhound books. They never fail to make me laugh and leave me with a smile and a deeply satisfying happiness that the characters have gotten their HEA. I'm already sad this is the (mostly) end but I will enjoy rereading this series for a very, very long time.

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good conclusion to the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls Series and my favourite of the series so far. Jude and Paul were really good together and their unusual way of flirting/their love language completely cracked me up. Wow, poor Paul goes through the wringer during this book so I’m glad that he had Jude to talk him through things. It’s about damn time that they finally get their own happily ever after since it’s been books in the making but it was totally worth the wait.
I adored how Paul got all of Jude’s Beatles references and even returned his references with his own. No matter how grumpy Paul pretended to be It didn’t take long for Jude to say something that would crack Paul up. There were a few interesting things revealed during this book that were really unexpected and I can’t wait to see how some of them play out during other upcoming books from this universe. I’m really looking forward to reading more books from Shannon Mae in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.
******I received a copy of this book because I’m a member of Shannon Mae’s Patreon. I happily reviewed this book and I would do so even if I purchased it myself. My thoughts and feelings about this book are completely unbiased******

This is the sixth and final book in the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series. Each time I've read a book in this series, I've said "this is the best one". And once again the author has exceeded my expectations. To be fair, I had high expectations due to the glimpses we have gotten of Paul and Jude throughout the other books in this series. This is finally the conclusion to the Paul and Jude situation. Paul is a human and sheriff of Paradise Falls. He is one of the chosen few who have been introduced into the paranormal world in his town. Paul takes his duty to protect everyone and this town very seriously. Jude is an assassin and a hellhound. He also has a tendency to bring chaos with him where ever he goes. He likes to have fun and be happy. He also is a big Beatles fan so be prepared to have their songs running through your head as you read. This is their story. Jude has decided to break down Sheriff Paul's resistance by crazy and outlandish flirting. There is chemistry for days between them but Paul is still fighting it. I really enjoyed the found family aspect of this story. You will find an unexpected twist and turn along the way. I loved this series. I am sorry to see it end but I look forward to the next book by this author.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!❤️
This was everything I wanted from Jude and Paul!! It was absolutely worth the wait!
I already knew I loved Jude but getting to see a new side to him was such a treat! He’s classic golden retriever but he has some depth!
And then we have Paul… we only see a tiny piece of him in the rest of the series so it was very exciting to get to know him. And he is not at all what we’ve been lead to believe he is. He’s so layered! Honestly perfect for Jude!
The Beatles references are abundant but not in a way that bothered me. If anything it was fun to see when and where they were placed! And unlike literally every other person is Jude’s life. Paul not only entertained the references but he understood them all!!
The big twist with Paul at the end was surprising, I did not see it coming at all but it’s like it hit and then it was over we didn’t get much time to sit with it.
The suspense aspect to this one was right up my alley, it felt like a paranormal crime procedural show and I loved every second of it lol
Now I need to go read her other series cause I’m gonna need Luce’s story! Also excited to see what happens with Theo!
Amazing series! Highly highly recommend

Honestly I forgot I pre-ordered this book so when Amazon took my payment I started this adventure... However... I'm not sure if I have some weird vibe or if I read many paranormal things that I didn't get the vibe of this book... I mean tje cheese one yea I got it and it was cute... But on the story line I kind of expected something more dramatical? Like the mystery tension is there but you are preparing to got some clues about anything and now here this was how it was solved... So with this I'm honestly disappointed... Also I didn't get the kya feeling when they came to do the deed it was more like yea ok boring and I skimmed it.... I just didn't get the vibe from them you know? Also in the afterwords author mentioned that they will start new series with Thea (the female hellhound) maybe and I'm not sure if I should take it as sign or if this explain the vibe of this book but in my experience when authors start to get more on the female gender even tho it is still queer the mm books start lacking some kind of spark... But maybe I'm wrong and I have my palate full and I'm maybe too judgy

How is it already the end of the Hellhounds of Paradise Falls series? I have waited excitedly for each book. Jude felt like a character that wouldn’t stay in the background to me. His appearance in each story with Walrus always brought a smile to my face.
Reading this book, knowing it was the end of the series, I’m not sure what I expected. From the minute I opened the cover, I was enthralled with Jude and Walrus. I didn’t want to put the book down at all. I was not expecting some of Paul’s shenanigans. I absolutely loved it, especially that bit about Thea, and am so sad it is over. I can definitely see myself rereading not only this book but the entire series. I love the connected characters from the Demonic Disaster and Afterlife Adventures series. I loved that the pack was so often together and with their mates. I loved how Jude just brought so much laughter and love to Paul. These two and this book are absolute perfection!
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.*

It's a little short on details to be a standalone, so definitely avoid this book if you wanted to read only one of the books in this series. However, it's a little short on impact for a series finale.
This book focuses very much on Jude and Paul, without the emotional interactions that the rest of the books had with the found family. I was really hoping to see Jude and Paul emotionally peeled back after all the shenanigans they scattered the previous books, but turns out that what we saw is what we get. Instead of emotional wringing, we get new information/knowledge unwrapped through a little mystery story pushed along by the Oracle and concluded by deus ex machina.
I had a really hard time trying to choose between three stars and four stars. The plotting and pacing really annoyed me, but the scenes shone when standing on their own. So in the end, I decided to be generous.

GIRL WHAT WAS THAT 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I stand by this being one of my heart series, getting a full series of books that just hook you immediately and never let go is rare and should be treasured. Shannon Mae will absolutely be getting my money this holiday season and I can't wait to add these to my physical collection.
WITH THAT SAID, I don't even know how to talk about this book ldskgjdf I love Jude, I love Sheriff Paul, I love them together, I love that everyone has their mate now and can live in their chaos happily ever after. I'm excited for some of the things that came about in this book about changing the rules of the supernatural world, I could see that being a very fun thread to pick up and keep tugging at in a future series, and I will be there for it. But all the Sheriff Paul stuff......... a bit too bananas for me, that was so out of left field and I don't really know what to do with it. So I won't do anything with it!
When you see me rereading this series again in six months, mind your business, I'm going through it.
