This bounty hunter always gets his man. And if he's lucky, he'll get his woman, too. Into bed, that is...When Linc Stone agreed to help an irresistibly sexy wedding planner track down her louse of an ex-boyfriend, all he'd really intended to do was keep a spitfire looking for payback out of trouble. But being around Georgia Hart and keeping his hands off her was hard--the chemistry was explosive, hotter than even a dedicated, lean, mean hunting machine like Linc could withstand.
Especially when each night they spent together promised a new "thrill" of the chase...
A funny, cute, and hot contemporary romance about a tough, gruff, cynical, commitment-phobic, sexy-as-sin bounty hunter, who doesn’t believe in love, marriage, or happily ever after, but gets his life turned upside down by an optimistic, cheerful, organized, do-gooder wedding planner. Linc Stone knew taking Georgia Hart’s case would be trouble, but he couldn’t resist her pleading chocolate brown eyes, asking for his help in tracking down her lousy, thieving ex to get back her stolen mother’s antique wedding ring. Now if he can just resist their explosive chemistry and leave his emotions intact, he can walk away unscathed, because the last thing he wants or needs is to get involved with a woman who believes in love at first sight, dreams of happily ever after, and has forever shining in her eyes.
The sexy, flirtatious banter between Linc and Georgia is funny and infectious, and unlike some short Blaze stories, they actually spent time getting to know each other, so the romance was more believable...and smokin’ hot! There are a couple of love scenes, and one of them is borderline erotic...verrry steamy. It’s a light, entertaining, and sweet read with a likable H/H engaging in some fun playfulness and hot romance. 4 ½ stars!
Cute, sexy and funny read, with interesting characters and a nice plot tying them up. Unlike many Blaze books, Linc and Georgia didn't jump into bed the moment - or the day/night after - they met. They got to spend some time together, thanks to her sleazy ex-boyfriend who stole her mother's engagement ring and ran away. So when they finally did it, there was more than lust driving them. Niiice!
Good story. I liked the main characters and liked how they realized their love for one another, especially how Linc expressed it at the end.
A couple of things on the negative side: I got tired of reading about Linc poking his tongue in his cheek. He did it on like every third page near the middle and…then we have to read about Georgia doing it as well. And when he wasn’t tonguing his cheek he was chewing it. Ok, it didn’t really sound this gross but it was annoying.
They Also didn’t exactly seem to do the actual bounty hunting. We know that they drive around questioning but we aren’t exactly told what is said, just told that it happened. In a lot of the Rhonda Nelson books there doesn’t seem to be any good reason for some of the things the characters do or why some of them keep certain things a secret. And for some reason, in almost EVERY single books by Rhonda Nelson, there is that phrase “blow the end out of the.” Each of her books has many things that are similar to that point that despite each story being different, it seems like a template for the other. It always reminds you of another of her books but not always because of the other characters that show up from previous books, but because you start trying to figure out which of the other books had a certain part of it similar to the one you are currently reading.
An enjoyable read about a bounty hunter and a wedding planner looking for a lost engagement ring. I enjoyed the practical jokes that Linc and Georgia played on each other, as well as the smart banter between the two. The Memphis setting was beautiful as well.
Georgia got fooled by her ex-boyfriend who stole her mother's ring, but he also skipped out on bail after getting arrested. Which is why Linc, the big, bad, bounty hunter is after him. Georgia begs to be allowed to help, needing to have some part in his capture (and to hit him just once with her stun gun). Linc knows that Georgia is Trouble - he recognizes right off that she's dangerous to the heart that he swore he'd never give to anyone, seeing exactly what love does to a man. But working so closely with her he can't help but fall in love. Georgia knows that Linc is commitmentphobic and has no intention of falling in love. But she can enjoy him for just a little bit before cutting him loose, knowing that a relationship with a man who doesn't believe in love is an exercise in futility.
This was a surprise treat for me. I haven't read much by this author, but I'll be on the look out from now on. I liked Georgia and her sarcastic wit, her sassy attitude and her ability to dish it out and to take it. The interactions and the banter between Linc and Georgia really made this story. Their chemistry was sizzling. It was kind of a fluffy story, but packed a bit of angst there at the end with Georgia's determination to let Linc go, believing he'd never love her. That whole bit of miscommunication was my least favorite part of the story and I really could have done without the . But I love how the story ends on that line they kept repeating over and over throughout the story. It was a good bit of continuity and shows that the writer has some style in her writing.

Closer to 4.5. Every now and then, one of these turns out to be a good read.
This one has lots of humor, heat, and an interesting plot. The H has a fear, not of commitment, but of love itself. His parents loved each other a lot, and when his mother was killed, his father fell apart. Scarred him, I would say for life, but since he's with the h at the end, it just required the right person to screw with his head. The h had a different approach - she wanted what her parents had. And she was sure she wasn't going to get it with him. They were brought together because she dated a homeless grifter who stole her mother's engagement ring (a large, badly flawed diamond), he posted bond on the loser for an unrelated arrest, and he wanted to catch the douchebag as much as she wanted to kick the douchebag's ass. Along the way, there was a lot of sexual attraction, sarcasm, wise-cracking, etc.
I'd hunt down the brother's book but it's by a different author. Not sure I want to bother.
I'm not going to rate this because the story might actually be good, but it was taking for damn near ever to get to anything even remotely interesting. Linc, the hero I guess, sat there for at least 5 pages ruminating over his entire family history and I gave up because it looked like it was going to go on even longer. And that was just chapter one... After 15 paragraphs explaining why this character will never allow himself to love, move the fuck on already!
Very cute. An amusing read for sure. I loved the characters and I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. The sex scenes were satisfying and not overwhelming. Definitely re-read material.
