::trying not to hiccup through the sobs:: I was NOT prepared😅💔🖤 but also: “Thank you ma’am, may I have another”🙃🤭😏

Wow. WOW. I got what I anticipated (vampires, dark romance-y vibes, complicated love triangle that forces the dudes to compete for the fmc, etc), but I definitely didn’t anticipate the JOURNEY my OWN heart went on throughout this read😳

The FMC, Nalia, is destined to fulfill the role of THE “Vampire Princess,” however as so often it happens, the matters of the heart complicates…literally everything. ::😖As if her upbringing wasn’t tough enough…🫣🫣🫣 IYKYK::

This book is quite a…lengthy, and…::ahem:: girthy read. It’s a truly epic journey of love. In almost every sense and aspect. I really appreciate how (author) Kristen N. Moran brings perspective to the importance and weight of “love” to Nalia’s story by reminding us of the absence of it.
“…not all families that keep their children give them love.”
OOOF😔.
It’s like a gutpunch to your heart, right?

AHH, But WAIT✋ - just as you’ve been sucker punched with a hefty helping of sorrow, Moran serves up a FEAST of piping, HOT, SPICE🌶️ to soothe our literary souls. Aaaaaand, the cycle continues and the characters continue down their (MOSTLY) well-meaning, and (USUALLY) straight-up horny rabbit holes…

This epic story twists, turns, weaves, meanders, and entertains to the very last page. 👏👏Such a fun ride. I definitely have my eye out for whatever this author ends up doing next 🙌

Nalia has a destiny, but everyone is standing in her way including her fated soul mate.

The Vampire Princess by Kristen N Moran is a spicey fated lovers, touch-her- and-die story where the line between the hunter and the hunted is blurred. I enjoyed the fresh spin on vampire lore and the juxtaposition of who is the ‘monster’. This is a great read for anyone looking for a vampire dark romance with lots of spice!

Okay, I’m invested. Nalia has found it so much about her life. Very unexpectedly. But stress got a destiny to pursue. And she’s determined to do it. But these guys are making it really difficult for her to get this done. This is such a spicy, fated mates story. It’s dark with some really hot guys, and so much going on. The twists and turns have been on the edge of my seat good. I devoured this one. Can’t wait to read more from this author. It’s so good!

The Vampire Princess is a compelling addition to the supernatural fiction genre, successfully blending royal intrigue with the dark, moody atmosphere of vampire lore. It manages to feel both classic and contemporary, offering a fresh take on the "hidden heir" trope within a gothic setting.
Key Highlights
Atmospheric World-Building: The prose excels at painting a vivid picture of the aristocratic vampire court. The tension between elegance and danger is palpable, making the setting feel like a character in its own right.
Complex Protagonist: The journey of the princess is the heart of the story. Her evolution from a position of uncertainty to claiming her power is handled with a satisfying emotional depth.
Pacing & Suspense: The plot maintains a steady momentum, layering political machinations with personal stakes that keep the reader invested through every chapter.
Why It Stands Out
What sets this story apart is its focus on the internal conflict of its characters. It isn't just about the external threats to the throne; it’s about the cost of immortality and the weight of a bloodline's legacy. The romantic elements are woven in naturally, providing high-stakes chemistry without overshadowing the central plot.
Final Verdict
"A lush, shadowy, and gripping tale of power and identity. The Vampire Princess is a must-read for fans of royal paranormal drama who enjoy a mix of sharp dialogue and haunting imagery."

Dark, seductive, and tangled in fate 🖤🩸

The Vampire Princess pulled me in with its velvet-dark atmosphere and that delicious push-pull between destiny and choice. Nalia’s story hits right away with that lost girl, hidden legacy energy, but it quickly sharpens into something more dangerous once her connection to Ambrogio comes into play.
The love triangle is where this really sinks its teeth in. Clover brings that rigid, duty-bound tension (and yes, the angst is chef’s kiss), while Alessandro is all quiet obsession and shadowy devotion. The contrast between them keeps the emotional stakes high, even when the pacing dips a little in the middle.
The world itself feels rich and gothic, like candlelight flickering over old secrets, though I did wish for a bit more depth in the lore and smoother transitions in some scenes. A few moments felt rushed when they could’ve lingered and really bled.
Still, the vibes? Immaculate. Forbidden pull, dangerous lineage, and a heroine teetering on the edge of power and ruin. If you love morally gray men circling a girl who might become something terrifyingly powerful, this one absolutely delivers.
Final verdict: Dark romance with bite, just shy of perfection but still worth the obsession.

This is the first book I've read by this author, and I enjoyed it. The book is about Nalia, a girl who has not been in a nice placement through the foster care system. Her foster mother thinks she is there to look after the smaller children, and she soon lets Nalia know if she is displeased with her. But the one silver lining is that she is coming up to 18, when she can officially leave.

When she leaves her boyfriend, Mike has found a place for them to stay. But even though she loves him, something is missing, and it may have to do with her vivid dreams about 'her prince.'

Nalia soon finds out who she is and who she is related to, and what her life will become once she meets her 'soulmate'.

Alessandro a.k.a. Shadow has loved Nalia from afar. He has kept to the shadows until it is time to meet her and make her his own. But love is never easy, especially when another man comes along and catches Nalia's attention.

Clover has worked in the family business since a child. He is a vampire slayer. His father runs it with an iron fist; sentiment and love are a weakness the family can't afford, according to him. But Clover craves something more, and that is what he finds in Nalia.

But can a Slayer fall in love with a Vampire Princess? How will each family deal with the fallout of this? Will his actions speak louder than his words, or will he betray his beloved because of his ingrained beliefs?

The book leaves us on a cliffhanger, so I can't wait to find out what happens next.

A dark, moody vampire story with an interesting royal twist. It focuses more on emotional struggle and identity than just action, which makes it engaging.
While some parts feel predictable, the vampire princess concept and atmosphere still make it a solid and enjoyable read, especially if you like dramatic, gothic vibes

I liked the premise of the story. The execution of it was ok. I finished it because I wanted to see how it worked out. If it was a paper book, I would've flipped to the last chapter instead of reading all the way through.

I had a good time with this story! Nalia....whew girllll! This girl just wants all the love and she's so strong. Clover is interesting and sexy and frustrating...and just all the things! I found myself yelling at him and for him. The vampire history was interesting and the power of soulmates was very engrossing. That epilogue...whatttt!

Unique and Entertaining

This lengthy story was more interesting than I thought it would be. It was a good read with world building that was quite descriptive and introduced a world that was unique and entertaining. Nalia is destined to ascend the throne and become the vampire princess, yet her internal struggle drove this story forward. It was definitely an intriguing read.

Unfortunately I do not like love triangles. I went into this story not expecting a love triangle, which I despise with a passion. If id have know, I would not have read it. Only reason this book is getting 4 stars id that it's well written with an interesting plot minus the love triangle.
