📝 ARC Review: Sweet & Spicy short story.

Brief Synopsis: On the run from her abusive boyfriend, Kayla stumbles onto the property of Isabella and Valerius. They take her in and almost immediately sparks fly between the two women. It isn’t long before they’re indulging in pleasure, but Kayla’s boyfriend isn’t going to just disappear. He knows where she is and blackmails her. Soon Kayla will have to decide if she’s going to turn on her new friends/lovers and fall back into her toxic relationship, or if she can be strong enough to stand up to him and fight to be with the people who truly care about her.

While I enjoyed this short story, it’s one that I wish had been a tad longer so that we could’ve had more depth and character growth, instead of the spice taking over the plot. - Kayla aggravated me a bit with her actions, however, I kept reminding myself that women who are in emotionally abusive relationships, cannot just suddenly change. It’s ingrained trauma that dictates their actions, whether or not it’s what they want. So I did have to keep that in mind and I know that can be a sensitive topic as well!

I applaud Kayla for getting away from her horrible boyfriend. It took a lot of courage. Ger boyfriend took away all of her confidence. She was like a wilting flower. With the help and love of Isabella and Valerius, Kayla bloomed into a beautiful rose.

Isabella's enthusiasm for having Kayla in their home was funny. She was like a puppy who had found its new favorite toy. I really appreciated that she understood not to push Kayla too much. Valerius is so grumpy. I am a sucker for a grumpy MMC. Once Kayla felt more comfortable and all three were together is when things really heated up.

I love this Beauty and the Beast retelling novella from Maya. If I were to ever have to find sanctuary, I hope it is in a place like Isabella and Valerius's. If you love Beauty and the Beast, you will love this book. Come get "owned" by Valerius, Isabella, and Kayla.

This was a nice little super spicy treat!

Not a ton to say about this one because it was so short. It was incredibly spicy, and a god variety of activities inside too.

There was a ton of body positivity, and who doesn't love when the Beast stays a beast? The plot was short and sweet, but we all know that's not what we are here for.

As a note, please check the TW. It does have some verbal domestic abuse from the ex, but mostly off page and a lot of negative weight talk from him. Nothing too crazy, but I know it can affect some people more than others.

This was a fun twist on a Beauty and the Beast inspired story. What if the beast stayed a monster instead of turning back into a human? And then they decide to bring a third in their relationship? Sign me up! There's spice, there's tension with Kayla's ex-boyfriend, there's a cute grumpy/sunshine dynamic, it's a cute and fun novella I really enjoyed reading.

Kayla has finally had enough of her controlling boyfriend and runs away from him only to stumble onto a massive estate. There she meets Valerius and Isabella and is instantly smitten. Will their temporary situation turn into something more?

This was such a fantastic and quick read. Kayla stumbles upon Valerius and Isabella’s gargantuan manor when she’s fleeing her toxic boyfriend Gareth and it doesn’t take long for her to be welcomed with open arms. I loved how Kayla and Isabella played together with Valerius watching but it’s even more fun when he joins in. I also loved how protective Isabella and Valerius were of Kayla and how they helped to save her and her father. This was another amazing read from Maya and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

In a word: hot. This book is giving all the sexy, ‘Disney after dark’ romance vibes you might want. It’s giving Beauty and the Beast retelling if Belle was kinky and the beast liked to watch. And sometimes play. It’s FFM with more focus on the FF. It’s cute and cozy and whips and chains. It’s naughty and nice. It’s mental health rep and learning to accept the love you deserve. It’s a fast read for a night when you want something easy and light. It’s a short novella that is 50% monster smut, but let’s be honest, that’s what makes it even more fun.😉

I love a beauty and the beast settling, I haven’t seen one where they bring in a third though 👁️🫦👁️
This was such a fun time! I loved the way the FMCs acted around each other and how The Beauty was super caring towards her guest! I also loved how the Beast never pushed their third into doing anything she wasn’t comfortable with!
If you are looking for a sweet and spicy novella to dive into this is going to be the book for you!

This was a really good twist on Beauty and the Beast! We have Kayla who is running away from her terrible boyfriend and finds herself in the home of Isabella and Valerious and she immediately feels a spark with them. This was a quick and spicy good time and I recommend it if you love twists on fairytales!

This is a super spicy Beauty & the Beast inspired story. It's a short read at 74 pages, but so much fun.

Kayla runs from her PoS boyfriend, and finds herself at Isabella's home. Isabella is happy to invite her in, but her husband, Valerius is not overly impressed with their new guest.

I love spicy stories based on classic fairytales, so I really enjoyed reading this.

Be their guest? absolutely 😁 my favorite movie growing up and Beauty and the Beast retellings are my favorites. Maya did a wonderful fantastically smutty job with this story. It was so cool to see all of the references to the movie but with an additional spicy layer. Kayla, Isabella and Valerius were as delicious as a stack of pancakes. it was hot and sweet to see these three explore and learn one another. I love that Kayla got to stand up to her jerk of an ex-boyfriend and gained two people who truly care about her.
