Brother Andrew studied at the WEC Missionary Training College in Glasgow, Scotland. Brother Andrew was born in Sint Pancras, the Netherlands, and was the fourth of seven children to a poor, near deaf blacksmith.

Très bon livre avec plusieurs applications pratiques.
Courts chapitres qui se lit facilement. Permet une introspection concernant la manière que nous vivons la foi en Dieu avec comme trame narrative la vie de Moïse.

Das Buch ist schnell gelesen, jedoch sollte man sich lieber Zeit nehmen, um das Gelesene wirken zu lassen. So endet jedes Kapitel mit ein paar Fragen unter der Überschrift „zum Nachdenken“. Die Autoren raten dazu, die Antworten aufzuschreiben. Hierfür ist allerdings kein Platz im Buch selbst, so dass es sich anbietet, ein Notizbuch zur Hand zu haben.
Neben den Beispielen aus der Bibel finden sich auch Beispiele aus dem Leben der Autoren, anhand derer sie zeigen, wie wir auch heute Gott begegnen, ihm gehorchen und ihn kennenlernen können.
Trotzdem ich recht vertraut bin mit dem Leben des Mose, hatte ich beim Lesen dieses Buches einige Aha-Momente. Es steckt so viel Wertvolles in diesem kleinen Büchlein! Ich kann es jedem Christen uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
„Mose zeigt uns, dass es für die Tiefe unserer Beziehung zu Gott keine Grenzen gibt. Und ebenso wenig für das Maß, in dem er uns gebrauchen kann, wenn wir seinen Anweisungen folgen. Worauf warten wir noch? Beginnen wir das Abenteuer!“ (aus dem Nachwort)

The author, Brother Andrew, is known for smuggling Bibles into Russia before it had collapsed. He now looks at the life of Moses in detail. He goes through his life in how God had shaped him to be the one to lead the people out of Egypt and through the wilderness. Through many struggles and challenges, Moses had become one of the greatest men of the Bible and of all time.
In the end he challenges every believer to follow the Exodus Mandate to go and rescue more people with the gospel message of salvation. I highly recommend reading it.

I don't think I expected a devotional book when I picked this book up for my kindle. I expected longer chapters with more time spent examining different aspects. What I have found was devotional size chapters that had as much depth in fewer words accompanied with challenging questions to help the reader apply immediately in their Christian walk.

Though I don't necessarily agree with everything in this devotional, I found it incredibly insightful and rewarding. Brother Andrew has a way of putting things in such a new light that I gain a wonderful new perspective! I definitely recommend it.
