EPISODE 1/4 Full story amazon.com/dp/B00T5GUOYM As the dominant force in the galaxy, they were used to bringing new worlds under their control, but were blinded by their own success... After coming into contact with a highly developed alien race, mankind was left with little option but to accept an offer that was impossible to refuse. Unable to meet a threat from an alien star system, it decided to cooperate with the alien race, not realizing that the Solar System was just one of the steps in a grand plan as old as mankind itself...
Albert Sartison first became acquainted with games theory when he was a student. Since then, he has been fascinated by complex multiple-move strategic games in politics and economics. In such situations, the apparent freedom of action of the parties involved is in fact restricted by the bounds of economic and political feasibility, which at times leads to improbable consequences.
The history of modern civilization includes many wars and political and economic crises which began as minor contradictions or local conflicts and escalated into global cataclysms on a planet-wide scale. Man has a highly developed intellect which enables him to assess his actions critically and analyse complex situations. As an individual, he is capable of rational reasoning. Is this applicable to human civilization?

This book read like someone's college term paper for the most part. Its not really a novel but a short story. The story goes: 1. a spacecraft shows up in our solar system. 2. the craft will not communicate with us. 3. the craft is accidentally fired upon. 4. the craft disappears. 5. scientists are sent to investigate strange magnetic reading where the craft was. 6. three spacecrafts reappear and give a warning not to scan or follow them. 7. A general goes to his assigned bunker somewhere. The book ends there.
You just read it here, so no read to read it on Kindle.
This is a well crafted book the author has obviously spent time researching. I found myself being carried along with the characters as they delved into the mystery of the Aliens.
The book has a slow start and then decelerates. It’s really a novelette. I think it’s intended to end in a cliffhanger but by that point I didn’t really care what happened next. The premise is interest but the execution is poor.
The premise is good, first contact with aliens but the book is more accurately described as Chapter #1 in a novel. That is to say it is short and leaves the reader without any closure at the end. It is obviously the first book in a series. It is as though the author arbitrarily cut up a long novel into several books just to make more money. The characters are underdeveloped and the plot drags on. The writing is OK but not great. I read #1 thru #4 and got tired of waiting for something to happen. I won't be buying any more books in this series.
A hard story to enjoy with the pacing, well plodding mostly. None of the characters clicked on and I needed to go back at times to see if I missed something but I hadn't.
Well written and edited but lacking in character development and action. There is however potential to expand the story into a good space opera in future episodes.
I must say it has a slow start, but once it catches pace, its like bullet train. The story took time to build up but its very interesting. Absolute page turner...
I also read it in another series of sci-fi novels.
4 part series. I'd gotten Episode 1 and 4 for free at Amazon. 2 and 3 are available at a cost under $2.00 each. Episode 1 did not capture my imagination in such strength that it would entice me to purchase episode 2 and 3, despite their inexpensive price. I'll probably skip reading episode 4.
