Something Like Love was an excellent romance/drama novel!

I loved this book! Lately I have been craving a good romance novel, and this filled the void! Sara Richardson did an excellent job writing this book!

I very rarely found it boring. I can't remember a time reading it where I felt the need to put it down. While it didn't have me hooked at every single word, I craved to continue the story and know what was going to happen to Paige and Ben.

The novel moves smoothly and doesn't have any chapters that seem out of place. All of the situations seem realistic and not like a cheesy soap opera. It was a good quality romance novel!

Overall, I loved it! I want to read the first novel in this series and continue on with the rest of the books.

Five out of five stars!

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

Well that was a fun! Richardson won me over and I'm ready for more! Something Like Love was quite the adventure as Ben spends a little time getting close to nature with the help a very reluctant guide named Paige who works for his best friend.

Loved the characters (even if I wanted to give a couple shakes), the setting (even though...nature! and, hello, that freaks me out!) and the romance as the hero tries to up his curb appeal (he's a politician) with the public by going on a back-to-nature adventure after a bit of a scandal happens.

I really enjoyed both of the characters. They've got a little past together which made things more interesting (and fiery) and are both kinda on their last chance at saving their career paths. Ben was sexy and fun. Paige and little forceful and intense. Things were high on sexual tension with just a little bit of actual heat happening which still worked especially given their situation.

Add in lots of family drama, some secondary characters that caught my eye and a little make-your-palms-sweat action and it was just an overall good time. My only little eh was that the author made a point to give Ben a political party and that always kinda bugs me. I'd rather not have the characters put in the whole democrat vs republican kind of thing. Just leave it vague. Small complaint though.

Ooo I just love this cover. He can come chop wood here anytime! New to me author. Woots!

Maybe she wasn’t the one who had to change…

A vegetarian in a family of carnivores. A straight talker in a world of political correctness. Paige Harper had always struggled to find her place but she’d never felt closer to realizing her dream. Working as a guide in the Colorado Mountains was wonderful but her goal of working with horses for therapy and rehab would be heaven. Would Ben Noble and his group help her or be the catalyst to seeing all her hopes go out the window? One kayak trip would tell the tale…

I ached for Paige, who felt out of step with her family and even her bosses and co-workers, people she felt the most comfortable with. Needing to prove herself, the last thing she needed was temptation in the form of Ben. They had a brief hiccup of a near hookup and seeing him again brought all those feelings—good and bad—back to life. She needed to be professional and he was not helping her one little bit! Ben was gorgeous, rich, charismatic and a great big pain in the ass!

“God, he’d wanted that woman…if only he hadn’t gone and screwed everything up.”

Ben really was one of the good guys as he tried to keep the peace between everyone in his life—his domineering mother, his political team or the sister he adored. Paige wasn’t going to fit seamlessly into his world—his mom may just hate her a little too much—but his version of wooing certainly had its merits. Sweet, smooth and just enough angst to keep me on my toes, I loved this second outing in the Heart of the Rockies series, which included some unexpected surprises. Ruby’s story is next and I can’t wait! ~ Diane, 4 stars

This is the second book by Richardson in the heart of the Rockies series and I absolutely enjoyed turning the pages.

In the previous book we meet Ben and Paige. You can see they have a connection but Paige knows he is a player and she is not willing to be another notch.

In this book we get a little more background on both characters and how they have been hurt in the past. But we also get the heated glances and the hope they will end up together.

One thing I loved about this book was the descriptions of the outdoor activities and how well I could picture them. Richardson also added a little suspense on how and when these two would finally get together.

I also really enjoyed the characters. They were well written and I loved how Paige was attracted to Ben but she kept putting him off. Ben challenges her and they made a great couple. The romance wasn't rushed but i did feel like it took forever for them to get to that place.

The story ends with an epilogue that takes place a year after they have been together. I loved how it ended in a HEA. It was sweet.

I am really looking forward to reading the next book. March can not come soon enough. I am dying to see why Ruby is hiding out in the Rockies and why Sawyer is getting divorced.

I not only recommend this book but to read this series! Hopefully it will be around for a long time!

After reading No Better Man back in May I was really excited to read the next book in the series, Something Like Love. While I did enjoy this one I can't honestly say that it lived up to my expectations. That being said, I was happy to see Ben and Paige get their HEA and get caught up with Bryce, Avery, and the rest of the gang from their small town.

Feeling like an outsider in her own family, Paige has a hard time letting anyone get too close... Especially men after her only serious relationship turned out to be a disaster. So to say that she's wary of Ben after he's confronted by a one night stand would be a huge understatement.

Now, a year after their almost hook up, Ben's back in Paige's life and she's determined to keep things professional. Too bad Ben has decided that this is his second chance with Paige and he's going to do everything he can to prove to her that he's not just looking for a fling.

I love a hero that goes after what he wants no holds barred and Ben fit that to a tee. He realized that Paige was special and did everything he could to prove that to her. While their road wasn't exactly easy, especially with Ben's mom constantly butting in and trying to push them apart, I loved seeing their relationship blossom from lust to love. Unfortunately everything was so slow going that I found myself getting bored with the back and forth.

Just like the first book in this series, I loved the side characters... Well most of them anyway... And I can't wait to see them all get their HEA's. And while this wasn't exactly my favorite book in this series, it was still enjoyable and definitely worth reading if you're a fan of second chances.

Benjamin Hunter Noble III is much more down-to-earth than his name suggest. He's running for senator and after a treacherous girlfriend feed bad (and false) press to the media about him, Ben will have to accept the damage control his campaign advisor proposed to him. A couple weeks in the nature at Walker Mountain Ranch, the place where Paige Harper works as a rafting and hiking guide, what a perfect opportunity for Ben to get a second chance at getting to know her better. Their first and last meeting began well but didn't end in the best way. Thanks to a former conquest, Paige recognized he was a player while she was about to go home with him. Ever since she gave her heart to the wrong guy when she was a teenager, Paige swore she wouldn't make the same mistake twice and stay away from serial daters. College years was good to Ben, but he's not looking for flings anymore. He wants the real deal. And Paige seem to be the woman he need. But making her drop the walls she put around her heart won't be an easy task.

It's not my first time reading this author and while I enjoyed being back again at Walker Mountain Ranch, I don't think this book was as good as her others. I liked Paige and I totally understood why she was so wary. In fact, I found it sad and frustrating that except for maybe one friend (Ruby) she couldn't count on the people in her life (nor family, nor a group of friends). But the main problem I had, is I never really connected with the hero and I couldn't believe that what he and Paige felt for each other was a HEA kind of love. The political aspect was not very developed too, so don't let this detail stop you from reading this book if you don't like political heroes ;p

I think that Julia, Ben's sister, stole the show in this story. She's a hoot, even despite her disability and I'm so happy to know that she's gonna have her own romance in a novella (2.5 in the series) !

Review:

Paige is somewhat of an outcast with her family. They are as different as night and day. Her family’s whole world revolves around the family business, a cafe. Most of her family works there in one capacity or another. Paige cares about her family and the family business, but it is not her passion. Her passion is to operate a therapy program for quadriplegics, which would include horseback riding and whitewater rafting. She is more at home with the outdoors and she truly believes her therapy program can work wonders with those in need. She just needs to make her dream a reality, and she will do whatever it takes to do just that. When her boss agrees to consider the program if Paige can impress an important client, she jumps at the chance. She knows she’s good at her job as a mountain guide so it should be easy to impress the VIP client. When she finds out exactly who that client is, she realizes it will be harder than anything else she has ever had to do.

Ben Noble is the VIP client heading to the resort, in an attempt to do damage control for his career. After his name is smeared in the mud, he thinks a trip to the resort will put him in a better light in the public eye. When he sees Paige at the resort, he’s not sure which will be a harder goal to accomplish: cleaning up his political name or winning the heart of someone from his past that he let get away. Neither will be easily accomplished.

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The author is very talented in descriptive writing and she brings the scenery to life with the written word. At times I felt like I was right there, watching the activities going on all around me. I felt like I was transported from reality into the world that she created, and that is an awesome feeling.

The characters are well rounded, well developed and three dimensional. Paige is a tough woman who has had heartbreak in her past. She is hard-nosed but vulnerable and the combination made her seem even more real to me. She is not afraid of hard work to realize her dream, but she is afraid of having her heartbroken. She knows that if she let him, Ben could make her life complete or completely destroy her world. And that scares her.

Ben is someone who does not want to let others down, his family, his friends or the citizens. Know that he has let Paige down in the past weighs heavy on his heart and he wants to make things right with her. He knows that it will not be easy but he not only wants to make things right, he wants to make Paige his forever. The relationship took some time to develop and I appreciated that fact.

As in book one, the secondary characters are also nicely developed and there are some that you cannot help but dislike (when you read the book you will know exactly who I mean!!!). I feel like they added quite a bit to the story and brought a whole other dimension to it.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well-crafted women’s contemporary. I have read book one and I really enjoyed that one also. I would suggest getting both books in the series, sit back and enjoy yourself.

Paige Harper finds it difficult to let anyone get close to her, with good reason. She feels like an outsider within her family and deeply feels the lack of support from a family that does not understand her ambitious dream to establish a therapy program geared towards the handicapped when she could be working at the family restaurant. Throw in being burned badly when she trusted the wrong man and the walls she has built up begin to make sense. Ben Noble is the first man she came close to letting in, in a long time but that did not end so well. One year later, Ben has returned and Paige is determined to keep him at an arm’s length and keep their interactions strictly professional because the fate of her program is in the balance and a lesser than stellar performance could jeopardize it. Too bad that Ben is not on the same page as she is.

Ben Noble is a charming daredevil, unapologetic about his privileged upbringing and all the perks that come with it, including his choice of attractive women but it’s the artless and outdoorsy mountain guide that has ensnared his attention for the last year. Their previous meeting ended on a low note and now that he’s returning to Aspen as part of a campaign to rebuild his political image, Ben is determined to make this second chance work for him. Unfortunately, Ben faces stiff opposition not just from Paige, but also from his mother and campaign manager who don’t think that Paige is the kind of woman that would fit in with his lifestyle as a senator.

SOMETHING LIKE LOVE was fun! Lots of drama (some of it annoying), lots of smoldering passion and great characters! I love Ben! His protectiveness of and devotion to his sister Julia, his pride in his family, which was the driving force behind his decision to run for public office and his refusal to accept failure in any form. He’s relentless in his pursuit of Paige, but somehow manages to not cross over into creepy territory. He pulls out all the stops to show her that he’s in it for the long haul. I love that he respected Paige’s ambitions and was sensitive to her fears.

Paige is no stranger to disappointment and her family’s lack of faith in her made me so mad, but she does not stay down for long and that is such an amazing thing about her. Her resistance to Ben was understandable just about as much as it was annoying, but I love how easily she was able to bond with Julia. I absolutely loved the simmering tension between Ben and Paige and enjoyed their journey to their happy ending, including the challenges they faced and how their thorny relationships with their families were fixed.

SOMETHING LIKE LOVE is all about family, dreams and love and dealing with the challenges all three can bring. This is my first time reading Ms. Richardson’s work but it definitely won’t be my last.

This is the second book in the Heart Of The Rockies series, but the first that I have read. But this could be read as a standalone and I did not feel that I was missing anything by not reading the first book.

Oh Ben and Paige <3

They have a little history - not great history - but there is that spark, that attraction from the minute they are on the page together. There is this push/pull between them... Ben wants Paige, Paige pushes him away.

They both have something holding them back, but when there is the connection that these two have, nothing is going to stop it.

They push each other to become better people, to chase their dreams, to no let anyone stand in their way. And you can feel the characters blossom under it all.

I adored the secondary characters - well, most of them, most of the time! The could put light into the darkest of hours. The fiercest defenders, but the harshest critics. No one can tell it to you like it is like your closest friends.

Ms Richardson has a way with the imagery. I could almost see myself hiking the mountains (pfff yeah like I would really do that lol), wandering the ranch, watching the stars at night.

But can they overcome all the obstacles before them to get their HEA?

This is my first Sara Richardson read, but I will be going back to read the first in this series, and will definitely be reading the next book when it comes out.

Something Like Love is the second novel in author Sara Richardson's contemporary romance series, Heart of the Rockies, and tells the rest of the story of Ben Noble and Paige Harper which began in the first novel, No Better Man, and truly became a love story here. You can read either book separately from each other, but I do recommend that you read both in order because the groundwork for the mistrust that Paige feels toward Ben is told in book one and I'm not going to get into it in this review. Suffice it to say that there's a good reason why Ben works as hard as he does in book two to earn Paige's trust, and later on, her love and respect. We also learn why Paige is wary of men like Ben and why she would rather stay away from him, even though he's the only man to ever make her feel the way she does.

Ah, Ben. Goodness, the man definitely knows how pursue the woman he's got his sights set on, but he's also careful about how he does it. He pushes but doesn't necessarily force himself into every aspect of Paige's life. If anything, he wants to show her that he's in it for the long haul and that he doesn't expect anything other than a chance to get it right this time around. He's a great guy who also happens to love his family and has a sense of duty instilled within him, making him want to do the legacy started by his grandfather and continued by his late father proud. Does he do everything right the first time around? Nope, but then the man isn't meant to be portrayed as some perfect male specimen. He's human and he falters from time to time, but he's persistent and when he's done something wrong, he does make up for it.

Paige is a woman trying to find her place in the world. She's good at what she does but she does have difficulty dealing with certain people. While she enjoys her job as a mountain guide, her heart is set on something with the potential to benefit the handicapped. I love how that ties in to how she fosters a friendship with Ben's younger sister Julia, who is wheelchair-bound due to an accident twelve years ago. This plays a role in her own relationship with Ben and it tests them more than once, but then there are numerous hurdles that stand before the couple and their happily-ever-after, many of which were instigated by Ben's status-conscious mother, Gracie. All in all, Something Like Love was a wonderful story about following our dreams and sharing those dreams with people who mean the most to us. Five stars. ♥

eceived and ARC from Net Gallery in return for an honest review.

My first time reading this author thought the beginning went a little slow for my taste. However, there was so much back information given by the author that helped the story along.

The story is about a young woman named Paige who was a change of life baby, the youngest of five children by ten years. Paige's parents owned and ran The High Altitude Cafe` it was a gathering place where all of her family worked. Since her parents and siblings worked at the Cafe`Grandma Lou stepped up to raise Paige that was until Grandma Lou diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and passed by the disease. Paige had a degree in Kinesiology and was working at the Walker Mountain Ranch owned by Bryce Walker. Paige gave hiking, horseback riding, and white water rafting lessons/tours of the mountains. She was working on a therapy program for Paraplegics that included horseback riding, and white water rafting. Paige spent most of her time at the Ranch she was like a little sister to Bryce. Similar to Paige's family, Bryce hired family to work his ranch. Avery, Bryce's pregnant wife, assisted running the ranch, his mother Elise, ran the kitchen, her assistant is Ruby James. Sawyer, Bryce's cousin full-time police officer, part-time handyman.

Ben Hunter Noble III was Bryce's college roommate who was running for Republican Texas Senator, just like his father & grandfather. Ben was working on a bill with his sister, Jennifer to give other paraplegics the access to alternative health care. Jennifer, the only survivor of a drunk driving accident, was left paralyzed. Hired by the Democratic Party, Ben's unscrupulous ex-girlfriend, exposed doctored photos of blatant mistreatments of cattle and the Noble Ranch. Ben now needed to do something to gain back the public's trust, interest, and votes. His mother Grace wants to donate more money to the zoo. His campaign manager Kevin Mackey wanted to invite the press to a different side of him, the environmentalist. Only one small problem he wasn't an environmentalist. Ben comes up with donating the family's property next to Walker Ranch. Time to get in touch with his old college roommate Bryce Walker.

October is an awareness month for breast cancer and domestic abuse. Ruby James may be a victim of domestic abuse. Domestic Abuse is an understated problem worldwide, kudos for authors courageous enough to put it out there for discussion. Not giving away any spoilers, so you need to read the book to find out what happens in this excellent story.

After being painted a less than savory character in the tabloids by his ex, Ben Noble's political career is in jeopardy, and he is scrambling to get back into the voters good graces. He would much rather live a quiet life as a rancher, but when you come from a high powered political family there are certain expectations set by your parents that you have no choice but to follow. His mother would love nothing more than for him to become a beloved senator like his late father, and follow in his political footsteps, so he puts aside his dreams to carry on the family legacy. Now he is on damage control and in need of some good press, so he devises the perfect plan to put him back in the limelight. He decides that making a family trip to Aspen, Colorado to his buddies mountain resort may just be the best way to seal his political fate... and getting to spend some more time with a certain beautiful mountain guide may just be the perfect way for him to move on from his current disastrous situation.

Paige Harper has been seriously burned by love, and has no intentions of putting her fragile heart at risk again. So, she continuously dates men who she knows will never have the opportunity to gain access to her heart, or make it past second base. She focuses most of her time on her work, and has dreams of starting a program for people with disabilities at the resort, she just has to convince her boss she is up for the challenge. They have a prestigious client coming, and her boss wants to make a good impression on them, so he tells her that if she proves she can handle the challenge, he will consider her program. She has no doubt that she can handle the task, that is until she finds out their guest is the handsome rancher who broke her heart...

This was my first visit to the Heart of the Rockies series, and I am really kicking myself for waiting so long to make the trip. Ms. Richardson has created some very charming characters, who drew me right into their world, and captured my heart and attention instantly. Definitely one of the best series that I have read this year! I highly recommend you acquaint yourself with the men of the Heart of the Rockies series, they are sure to leave you with a smile!!!

Ben and Paige’s story background began in the first story in the Heart of the Rockies series, No Better Man. While, in my opinion, you don’t have to have read this series from the start to enjoy or even understand all the lives involved — it would certainly give you all of the nuances and undertones of this excellent ongoing series. So if you get the chance, pick up No Better Man it’s a great story.

Watching Ben and Paige’s romance move from little trust to romance was an enjoyable journey. This is a couple that belongs together – and they have a lot of baggage and obstacles to get past before they get their happy ever after.

Paige doesn’t have the best relationship with her family, her interests and desires for her future are so different from theirs. But she is determined to follow through on her dreams of a therapy program for the disabled. She’s got a shot but she has to put on the very best face ever for one very important person – the man she almost got involved with, the last man that she should trust right now.

Ben is determined to treat this chance with Paige far different than their previous encounter. There are so many things that could stand in the way of Ben and Paige having a relationship, one that matters And the people in their lives aren’t going to make this romance easy – at all. But the attraction is still there, all it’s going to take is for Paige to give Ben a chance to show his true colors.

Ben is a man divided, he wants the ranching life but politics is also in his blood. His decisions are going to affect many people – but ultimately it’s his and Paige’s happiness that matters most..

I found Something Like Love a fascinating love story. One with complications and misunderstandings and family getting in the way. But that’s life – and a good romance. I’d definitely recommend this story and the series to any romance reader who wants believable situations, relatable characters and a good solid story.

After his ex-girlfriend makes him look bad in front of the media, Ben Noble needs a new plan. He's running for senator and in order to keep his numbers up, he's going to donate his land in Aspen and make a production of it. He's going to need the help of his friend Bryce and his attractive mountain guide, Paige Harper. Paige has been on his mind since the moment he met her and danced with her. Maybe this time he can convince her he's not playing her.

Paige can't believe Ben is back. He made her feel things she doesn't want to feel, like her heart racing and blushing any time he's around. She is good at what she does but her job is on the line this time. She has to impress her boss and Ben's entourage but his mother is not making things easy for her.

~~

I liked both Ben and Paige.

Paige was determined, strong-willed, but at the same time she had a soft spot of vulnerability. She was hurt before and she didn't want someone taking advantage of her again. I can't blame her for guarding her heart.
Her relationship with her family was also not the best but I was glad to see in the end things work out. Sometimes bad things have to happen to unite us.

Ben was a good guy. Yes, he was a player before but he was serious about wanting something more with Paige. I was glad to see he defended her from his mother. He was not perfect, he made mistakes but he recognized them and asked for forgiveness.

In regards to the secondary characters, I loved Julia. I can't wait to read her story!

This is the third book from Sara's that I have read and the second in the Heart of the Rockies series. Since we met these two characters in the first book I was interested to see where there love story would go. I really enjoy Sara's writing style as she does a great job of developing the characters and making them quite realistic. She did this by giving you details of their past so that you could better understand what led them to where they are today. In addition, she also gave them bumps in the road through out the story that they had to over come.

In addition to developing the characters really well she also did a great job of setting the scene. Rather than having the book focus just on the ranch she also took you to other locations that had significance. As for the ranch she did a great job of creating a scene that was believable and really made you feel that you were there.

In regards to the love story that she wrote I found that it was well developed and was believable and could happen in real life. Sometimes you find as a reader that authors can sometimes make a love story that is unrealistic but that is not the case here.

I am interested to see which love story is next and to see how she develops these characters more in future books. I would recommend this series and author to other romance readers who find they want a love story and a little adventure as it has both.

Meh, it was okay, I think. The thing is, I didn't particularly impressed with the romance. The whole thing happened in one week, and I despised instant relationship, especially those happening in very quick timeline. Unless the author could write very convincingly, it is rather rare for me to enjoy anything happens that fast in a romance book. And I don't think Paige and Ben's relationship (or love story) is convincing. I can't understand what drawn him together, except for physical lust.

I was also quite pissed that Gracie (Ben's mother) wasn't exactly Nope, I couldn't accept it.

But I couldn't lower the rating because apart from each other, I actually enjoy Paige. The part where she finally talked with her Mom after brought me to tears. I also liked Paige when she interacted with Julia -- in fact Julia was also another shining star in this book. She definitely stole every scenes, and winning my heart better than her brother, Ben.

PS: My lowest rating is always 2-stars, it is very rare that I give a book 1-star. If it's that bad, I usually bail before I finish. So yeah, that that 2.75* rating as you will :)

I have not had the pleasure of reading the previous book in this series. If I had maybe I would have learned more about the history of Ben and Paige's relationship. I enjoyed them as a couple. There was more going on underneath Paige's resistance. Paige is scared to open herself up to more hurt. Her relationships whether romantic or familial have consisted of her being labeled a disappointment and I believe she has taken those words to heart. In her mind she can't disappoint anyone else if she pushes them away. Ben would not have been my choice of her rescuer but he ended up surprising me. Something Like Love takes a look at the fragility of the heart and the power love has to mend it. I am going to read book one as soon as I can.

It's a cute story, but why is it impossible to find a cute romance book that would make some sense? From the beginning, you know Sarah and Ben are going to fall in love, even though everything brings them apart, or should be enough to prevent them from a love story. I'm just asking for more believable stories, with a little wink to real life, but not so far apart. I was upset by the number of things making women different, inferior to guys. Of course, just making the men older makes it easier, but they are richer, better educated, more logical, etc... I could not pinpoint all the times when I rolled my eyes, but if you read it, you will notice it too.
It remains a cute story and a decent read.

Ben needs to increase good will in his political campaign and the quickest way he can do that is to donate some of his family's private land. To make it a more of a skeptical his political adviser has set up a white water raft guided tour ending in a press party. Which sounds great except that his guide is none other than Paige, the woman who wants nothing to do with him but he hasn't been able to forget. Paige has been hurt by a playboy before and Ben's reputation is all she needs to know about him. Except her attraction to him is starting to speak louder then her common sense. With Ben's mother offering nothing but obstacles Ben and Paige try to find their own path to happiness. Fun, sweet, sexy read with great characters who try to do their best but have a few stumbles along the way.

This is the second book in the Heart of the Rockies Novels by Sara Richardson and I enjoyed this book very much. Ben Noble was rich and thought he could do no wrong until an ex-girlfriend set him up to look back in the eyes of the public. He was running for a Senate seat and the PR was hurting him so he and his political manager set up a plan to donate land for environmental purposes. Unfortunately, he needed the help of the one girl that he could not get out of his mind and who did not want anything to do with him. Paige Harper was the best guide for a river rapids trip that would help Ben with his problems but she would not fall for his charm and he did not know how to handle her. This was a delightful story and I am looking forward to the next book.

Oh, Paige...

I enjoyed watching her learn to accept her differences -- because the bottom line of it is when your family doesn't accept your choices, you're going to have feelings of inadequacies. I also really enjoyed watching her fight her attraction to Ben and try to keep him firmly in the business acquaintance role -- been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. The tension and chemistry between these two characters fell from the pages and kept the pages turning.

The scenery was well written -- I definitely wanted to go there, myself! This is a series that I'll be looking further into.

Ben can be a pushover a times, especially where Paige is concerned, "ah, hell. He was whipped. He’d pretty much agree to anything, if it would make her happy." I enjoyed this book, Ben did not give up on his woman, and I seriously hated his mother like not even a little but hardcore. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Enjoyed getting back to Aspen in the second book in this series. Ben falling in love so quickly felt a little unreal, especially given his past, but the chemistry between the two is well developed. I'm really looking forward to Ruby and Sawyer's book.

I received an early copy from a drawing that was sponsored by the author. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters (especially Julia) and enjoyed the storyline. I can't wait for the third one in the series :-)

This book (#2) in the series was just meh. I didn’t get the sense of any spark between the main characters and the storyline was blah. I read the first book in the series in one day, this one took a few weeks.

This has the same issue as the first book, it takes a few chapters to get the hero and heroine on the same page. The pacing is too slow. I won't be continuing with this series

This is a lovely book. The characters are engaging. The storyline is relatable, in that we all now people who have been through tragedies and most of us want to do something to help.
