This book is about bullying via the use of rumors at the school. It all starts with a rumor on the door to a toilet and things spiral out from there. These get worse and the story shows the impact on the students.

At the same time there's new neighbors moving in next door to Bex and Scary Mary is one of them. Scary Sherry is also the focus of rumors and an 'investigation' by Bex turns up what she thinks is evidence that backs up the rumors. There's even a coffin in the house!

So, Bex has to help figure out who is spreading the nasty rumors and, at the same time, figure out how to react to Scary Sherry being next door. All is not as it appears to be, though, and the book has a satisfactory ending.

Someone is spreading nasty rumors about the eighth graders in Lincoln High through the cursed stall of the girls' bathroom. Rebecca Carter (who prefers to be called Bex) needs to go to the restroom but the only bathroom left is the cursed stall. There's no other choice. When she's about to come out, she sees something written on the door of the stall. She reads it out, but she doesn't notice that the school's biggest gossip queen is standing right outside hearing her every word. She can't keep her mouth shut and runs to tell everyone and Bex tries to stop her, but in vain. The rumors start to change everyday. No one can find out whose doing it. Santiago is 'hired' as the detective for this. He's still new to the 'detective thingy' so he only finds out a few stuff.

❧ It has to be a girl since it's a girl bathroom (Bex: Well, duh)
❧ Suspicious people:
⦿ Sherry Silverstein AKA Scary Sherry
⦿ Harry Kline AKA Class President AKA former Frog Boy(Seriously, dude?)
⦿ Gossip Queen* (Can't remember her name and the Amazon store isn't working on my Kindle
