This is a solid read that combines very well elements of traditional fantasy with SF. It does require your full attention in order to not get lost in the world that the author created, but it is very rewarding at the end because the emerging effect is complete by the end of the book. The action scenes are well written, the emotions transcende the pages and make you want to find out more!

Un tânăr rănit, aflat în fața a șapte pietre albe, pornește într-o călătorie ca să afle cine i-a distrus familia și de ce. Ce începe ca o căutare personală se transformă rapid într-o poveste mult mai mare, plină de mister, un război vechi, forțe mitice, îngeri și creaturi întunecate.
Mi-a plăcut mult partea fantasy a cărții, mai ales felul în care sunt construite conflictul dintre bine și rău și întreaga atmosferă. Toate aceste elemente fac povestea intensă și te țin curios să afli ce urmează.
Totuși, pe alocuri ritmul mi s-a părut puțin inegal, iar unele pasaje cred că ar fi avut nevoie de mai multă dezvoltare. Uneori informațiile apar foarte repede și poate fi puțin greu să urmărești tot ce se întâmplă.
Personajul principal pornește marcat de durere, confuzie și dorința de răzbunare, fără să înțeleagă exact ce loc are în tot acest conflict. Pe parcurs, însă, evoluează mult și începe să devină mai conștient de alegerile sale și de responsabilitatea pe care o are.
Pe drum, întâlnește oameni și alte ființe care îi devin aliați, iar relațiile pe care le construiește îl ajută să aibă din nou încredere în ceilalți și să înțeleagă că nu trebuie să treacă singur prin tot.

Even though it's the first SF book I've read, (I usually read historical, romance, psychological, personal development books...) the story managed to keep me glued to the book and make me curious about what's going to happen next... I like that it's also suspenseful, it makes you keep asking yourself questions and along the way you get answers to them. I also really liked the fact that the action is nicely detailed so that you have an overall picture of what's happening there. The surprise was that the action takes place in the present (sometime now) where modern technology has been combined with abstract things and supernatural characters. In the end, I liked the book, I was left with a good impression and one more thing is clear, the book also needs volume 2. 🙂

Legacy, a book in English written by a Romanian author, was a challenge for me, but it was worth the effort.
1* The story is a fantasy unlike anything I've read before. It's a world of familiar places in Romania, shrouded in mystery. Each chapter captivated me, revealing one mystery after another, and thus maintaining my interest in continuing to read.
1* The characters reveal themselves gradually, maintaining an air of secrecy around them. Internal conflicts arise and are explored. I was intrigued by their mystery and personality, the tensions, the alliances based on family relationships or not.
0.5* An easy read, although the first few pages were a warm-up for me, as I rarely read in English. Descriptive passages are slower in places, but worth reading to find out the connections.
1* The ending was surprising and left many questions unanswered—but I hope the story is just at the beginning.
1* As a personal opinion🌟, chapter 4 was the highlight for me 😊 The suspense, characters, and action lived up to my expectations.

Legacy is an epic fantasy about grief, remembrance, and justice that refuses to stay buried. The story starts with David standing in a cemetery before seven white stones, the last physical proof that his family ever existed. Having buried his mother only hours earlier, he meets a mysterious woman among the graves, and in that moment of shared silence, both of them begin to unravel their pain.
As David shares his childhood trauma and the events that led to his family’s destruction, we’re slowly introduced to a world where legends were once real, the Protectors, the White Army, and a justice system that valued citizen safety above all else. These weren’t just heroes; they were symbols. And yet, over time, they faded into myth.
I really liked how the past and present are constantly intertwined. Stories of the Ⅰ-Mafia, the collapse of systems, and the silent war hidden from the public unfold alongside deeply personal moments of loss. The progression of power, from stolen legacy, to frozen banks, to total digital blackout, made the conflict feel disturbingly realistic.
The Thunder Bell stood out to me, a system created so ordinary citizens could signal for help during major crises. It instantly reminded me of Batman’s signal, a call for help that’s about warning and protection, not vigilante power.
The story shifts into something bigger, as each brother is fully revealed. Destiny, ancient bonds, angels, and monsters all collide. Each brother being tied to a major event made their conflict feel inevitable rather than forced.
The story is beautifully portrayed and highly cinematic, it often felt like watching a movie. However, I gave it 4 stars because of the pacing that was a bit slow for me at times, with certain moments lingering longer than I would’ve preferred.

TRIBUT MILLENNIA
Un fantasy diferit ce m-a făcut să mă simt ca într-un film asemuit Stăpânului Inelelor. Însă povestea a început cu durere, cu dorința de răzbunare pentru un conflict mai mare decât ne-am putea imagina. Scena în care David își povestea suferința m-a ținut ca într-o bulă...acea bulă s-a spart la scena Podului... eu v-am zis că m-am simțit ca într-un film
Nu o să vă mint, la început mi-a luat puțin timp să mă obişnuiesc cu universul cărții. Sunt multe informații, multe denumiri, mituri, legende (Protectorii, Zeița, ritualul Consacrării, runele, ) iar în primele capitole am simțit că trebuie să fiu foarte atentă ca să le pun cap la cap.
Viața familiei lui David este descrisă în poveste, o viață plină de întelesuri ascunse, unde sacrificiul pentru cei dragi este primordial. Acesta a pornit la drum pentru a afla cine i-a distrus familia și cu ce motiv. Dar când încerci să dezgropi trecutul, nu poate aduce ceva bun, este posibil sà descoperi lucruri mult mai dureroase.
David a moștenit o descendență trecuta prin foc, un război dintre demoni, protectori, îngeri.. au călcat prin suferință, sânge și regrete...dar s-au înălțat mai puternici.
Am mai citit cărți care au descris lupte, armate, însă Protectorii mi s-au părut a fi diferiți, împreună formând ceva sublim.
A fost un fantasy complet diferit de ce am citit până acum, mi-a plăcut că acțiunea s-a desfășurat în locații din România. Mi s-a părut ca unele pasaje erau mult prea dezvoltate iar altora le-a lipsit acest aspect.
Ritmul, la fel, mi s-a părut cam lent, fiindu-mi greu sã mã concentrez, fiind și multe noutați și descrieri deodata.

Această carte a fost o adevărată experiență pentru mine!
Avem evenimente reale, palpabile împletite cu lucruri supranaturale. Este o altfel de poveste care aduce în fața noastră mai multe teme importante.

⚡️Ador faptul că fiecare capitol este construit în așa fel încât să completeze povestea!
🖤Îmi place mult faptul că nu există momente în care povestea să stagneze, avem mereu acțiune.
🌩Ador detaliile bogate, descrierile cu multe elemente și chiar m-am regăsit de multe ori vizualizând ceea ce citeam.
✨Îmi plac extrem de mult ilustrațiile din carte!!🥹 Arată atât de bine și sunt alese foarte bine, strategic aș spune, ca să faciliteze introducerea cititorului în fiecare eveniment și per total în poveste.
🔪Am rămas de multe ori cu un gol în suflet și fără cuvinte ori de câte ori ajungeam la conflictele din carte. Am și plâns puțin la un moment dat (da, știu, plâng la aproape orice, but still!!)
🪦Pe mine m-a emoționat mult partea aceasta, nu vă dau spoiler, trebuie să citiți ca să înțelegeți. (Emoticonul are legătură)

Mi-a plăcut cartea lui Doroftei pentru felul în care îmbină fantezia cu emoția. Ilustrațiile color completează frumos totul și mi-a fost mult mai ușor să-mi imaginez universul creat.
Povestea începe într-un mod trist și misterios, iar pe parcurs descoperi o lume plină de legende, secrete și personaje bine construite.
"Erau soldați extraordinari fiecare în parte, dar împreună deveneau ceva fabulos."
Am mai întâlnit termenul de "Protectori" și în alte povești dar mi-a plăcut ce au reprezentat aici, cum au fost construiți drept o armată dincolo de rațiunea omenească.
Mi-a plăcut că trecutul și prezentul se împletesc natural și că totul pare din ce în ce mai intens pe măsură ce înaintezi în poveste.

Legacy is a book that offers you a new world, with obscure legends and long-kept secrets. Each chapter is an adventure whose ending I could not predict. The tension gradually increases, and the end of each chapter raises new questions. I finished reading and was left with the feeling that this is only the beginning; clearly, this journey doesn't end here, and I still have many questions in mind that will probably be answered in the next volumes.
