Nick Nolan is a rising star in the influencer world. His men desperately seeking advice on how to get a date. But when Nick inadvertently records the evidence of a murder in the background of one of his videos, he gets in over his head trying to untangle the mystery of what happened. Pick-Up is a sexy, Hitchcockian tale of obsession that updates Rear Window for the Influencer Age.
This was okay. About a "life coach" influencer who finds something fishy in the background of one of his videos. He decides to investigate for himself and try to solve a murder. When everything wraps up, I just wish there was more of a motive for the crime. We're told the motive but it's not real enough for me. It just feels a little flat. Though the little twist towards the end was okay. Not something I would read again.
