About the author

Janice Cole Hopkins grew up in the Appalachian Mountains. As an only child, she learned to love the stories of Appalachian culture, and when she started school, she discovered a even wider world of stories through reading. She was writing her own by third grade and had published poetry by eighth grade. After graduating from Appalachian State University, she first wrote for magazines because the shorter articles were more manageable while she taught school. She retired early and became her mother’s caregiver, which is when she wrote that first novel, and she hasn’t stopped since. Soon she will have over a hundred books listed on Amazon with more to come.

It's Jo's turn to find a husband. Her sister is happily married to the pastor, and while she knew her turn would come up quick, it really was much too fast. Determined to find a man that she was compatible with, and a zing in her heart would definitely be a plus. She is bombarded with men, and quickly weeds out those she think would be amenable to the task. But the one that stands out is the sheriff. Sweet in the beginning, his controlling nature does come through while they get to know each other. But while this relationship slowly grows, Jo is taken with a ranch hand. Clint is shy and while taken with Jo, he doesn't see himself as good enough. And Chloe, Jo's younger sister has stated just how below her station she thinks a ranch hand is. But each time these two are together, there is a spark, chemistry and an ease that only comes with love. Will she go with her heart or her head? The sheriff would give her a life that wants for nothing and Clint would give her a life that is rich with love. Following their hearts and their faith, this one should be a no brainer. But is it? Loved this, from start to finish. I loved the way Jo thinks, literally tallying up what she thinks is important and putting her needs first. The sheriff could be a bit of a bully, and while appearing to be a good man, I just wasn't sure if he would be behind closed doors. And Clint is just a sweet and caring man. Not seeing Jo for her disability, but for her heart, I was team Clint! Give this one a listen to see where it goes, and who she chooses!

Douglas Birk and Jennifer Groberg narrate in duet giving this story all the voices and flare needed to make a fabulous love story. Personalities created and the ease of their working together made this fly by, keeping me interested and excited to see where it all landed. Loved them!

This is the second audiobook that I have listened to in this series of Disabled Daughters. I loved the first one about Ava and I loved this story. I couldn’t wait until it was Jo’s turn to find a husband.
Jo had several men that were interested in her but you will have to read or listen to the book to find out who. I loved the way she told them she had to get to know them first.
Now it’s Chloe’s turn and I’m ready to find out how she fares.
I highly recommend this Inspiring Romance. I think you will enjoy this story.

Great book! I loved that each of the women has a disability, and that it isn’t hidden or treated like something to be ashamed of. Their disabilities are openly discussed and woven naturally into their stories, which made the characters feel real and relatable.

The characters have so much depth, and I really enjoyed watching their stories unfold. There’s plenty of heart, inspiration, and romance throughout.

If you love inspirational romance with strong, meaningful characters, this book is definitely worth picking up! ❤️📚

It was wonderful to listen to the audiobook of Jo - Disabled Daughters. This is the second story of the three daughters. Each of the daughters were injured in an accident, that killed their Mother. The girls made a pact to marry, one by one. It's Jo's turn to find a husband, but the first few did nothing for her. She put her faith in the Lord to help her with patience and guide her. She would not rush this important decision. There is something about the ranch hand, that sparks her interest though. Clean historical romance.
I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

I enjoyed the book! This is a clean wholesome book where the characters rely on their Christian faith. I recommend reading this book!
