***Review***
*Fear of Forever* is a little different from Kenadee Bryant's other books, and I honestly loved that change. Usually we're getting a hockey player or hockey coach as the main love interest, but this time we get Mateo—a talented football player who is confident, cocky, and completely full of himself. And then there's Emmie, the coach's daughter, who isn't about to let Mateo's charm work on her so easily.
Their first meeting was not the cute, swoony meet-cute I was expecting. They quite literally run into each other, and from that moment the chemistry, tension, and banter start building. What I loved most was watching Mateo's walls slowly come down as he got to know Emmie. Beneath all that confidence is a guy dealing with his own fears and insecurities, and seeing that vulnerable side of him made me fall for his character even more.
Emmie was such a strong and lovable heroine. She challenged Mateo, called him out when he needed it, and never lost herself in the relationship. Their dynamic felt natural, and every interaction had me smiling, laughing, or kicking my feet.
If you love sports romance, forced proximity, coach's daughter tropes, great banter, and a hero who falls first (and hard), then this book needs to be on your TBR. Kenadee Bryant once again delivered a story full of heart, chemistry, and all the feels. I flew through this book and didn't want to put it down. Five stars are not enough to give for this book.
The tension? Amazing. The chemistry? Off the charts. Mateo and Emmie? Absolutely adorable
Fear of Forever is an absolute masterpiece! 🔥 I have been obsessed with Mateo since he was first introduced to us in Fear of Falling, the goofy little brother that no one took seriously. Kenadee’s ability to keep Mateo’s personality traits the same whilst also showing that he’s matured (a little) was brilliant. Mateo and Emmie have been given such a beautiful story. I’m a sucker for a “found family” trope and this ticked every box! They both have their own internal struggles with the level of perfection required of them, while also having a deep fear of letting their loved ones down or disappointing them. They bring out the best in one another and learn that it’s okay to rely on people when you need it. Erin is the ultimate bestie, Jake and Perry are as swoon-worthy as Mateo is. Throw in a a hot lil thigh tatt, a pet adoption drive and two people so perfect for each other it hurts and you’ve got a 6-star read on your hands.
This was a stunning ending to what has been one of my favourite series. I’ll miss the Boone & co fam, I’m quietly holding out hope that some of our fav side characters might get some more time with us in future 🤪🤞
Okay… I knew this book was going to ruin me. What I did not expect was for it to absolutely body slam every expectation I had and then make me smile while doing it.
Fear of Forever is the final book in the Falling series, and the anticipation I had for this book was unreal. This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year… and somehow it still exceeded every expectation I had.
This wasn’t just Mateo’s book. This was the ending of a series that has become my holy grail. And wow… what a way to finish.
First Things First: Mateo Boone
Mateo Boone is not some kid anymore. He’s grown up and somehow became hotter, dirtier mouthed, more charming, and even more lovable than I expected. But here’s what you really need to know: Mateo Boone is worth it.
Worth falling in love with. Worth forever. Worth the risk. Worth every smart-ass “Mateo-ism.” And apparently… worth flirting with your girl too.
Book Boyfriend Resume: -Star quarterback -Golden retriever energy -Dirty mouth -Effortlessly charming -Selfless underneath all the jokes -Professional menace -Elite uncle energy (which somehow made him hotter) -More depth than he lets people see
What I loved most, though, was getting to peel back the layers. Underneath the confidence and flirting was someone carrying fear—fear of love, fear of relationships, fear of forever. Watching those walls crack open and seeing every side of Mateo felt like magic.
And Then There Was Emmie James. First of all— Cute as shit name. Second—She is perfection.
Emmie James is the coach’s daughter, an Olympic figure skating star, and somehow still completely grounded. What I loved most about Emmie was that success never changed who she was. She never acted like a celebrity. She stayed herself. And what made her a top-tier perfect fit for Mateo... She could bite and bark right back at him! She is fiesty and determined and is just as flirty as Mateo is! She challenged him. Supported him. Made him work for it. And she was exactly what Mateo needed.
FMC Appreciation: -Olympic figure skater -Fiery -Determined -Walls built sky high -Gives it right back -Competitive but grounded -Loyal and supportive
Their Relationship = Everything. The banter? Elite. The flirting? Top tier. The chemistry? Immediate.
Their meet cute was absolute chaos and cuteness in the best possible way. Can we talk about the accidental run-ins? Because not one.Not two. FOUR. And somehow every single one got better than the last. And honestly? One thing Kenadee consistently delivers are iconic meet cutes. The fact that both the first and final books in this series gave me moments that will live rent free in my head forever feels poetic.
But my favorite thing about Mateo and Emmie wasn’t the flirting. It was that neither of them gave up on themselves. Neither sacrificed their dreams for the relationship. Instead, they learned how to fight for each other. To choose each other. To make goals, careers, dreams, and love all fit together.
This book reminded me that there can be enough room for dreams and love. And I thought that was beautiful.
Sports Romance Fans… You Are Fed. This book delivered. Actual sports romance content. No crumbs. -Football games -Football practices -Skating practice -Competitions -Olympics -And yes… there was hockey too
Favorite Moments -The FOUR accidental run-ins -Mateo flirting with everyone and Jo just accepting it -MATEO AS AN UNCLE -THE FLOWER BOY MOMENT (iconic) -Every reunion with the original crew -The growing families and kids -The adoption event (my personal favorite) -The adoption event absolutely sealed my love for Mateo. No notes.
The Full Circle Ending: This wasn’t just Mateo’s story. This felt like everybody’s ending. We got reunited with the whole crew, and every callback made my heart ridiculously happy.
I laughed. I giggled. I got emotional. I had tears. And seeing everyone happy? My heart is full.
Final Thoughts: Kenadee— Thank you!! Thank you for writing this series. For publishing it. For creating these characters. For helping me discover and deepen my love of reading with Fear of Love. I found you through BookTok and became a fan immediately. This series has become one of those comfort places I know I’ll always come back to.
And I knew… If anyone could steal my love from Landon Boone— It would be Mateo. I tried to fight it. I tried to deny it. But I was a goner before I even opened his book.
Now if anyone needs me, I’ll be emotionally recovering, rereading my favorite Mateo moments, and pretending the Falling series didn’t actually end.
First, thank you so much to Kenadee Bryant and Meet Cute Marketing for the ARC copy of Fear of Forever!
⭐️ 4.5 Stars ⭐️
This series continues to have my whole heart, and Fear of Forever is easily my second favorite book in the series!
The biggest reason this wasn't a full 5 stars for me was the conflict toward the end. While I understood where Emmie was coming from emotionally, I struggled with how she handled the situation. It was one of the few moments in the book where I found myself frustrated, and it kept this from being a perfect 5 star read for me.
Everything else? I absolutely loved.
One of my favorite things about this book was Mateo. We got so many chapters from his POV, and it made such a huge difference for me. After wanting more from the male perspective in some of the previous books, getting so much Mateo was the best surprise. I could have happily read another 300 pages of this man.
And Mateo? Elite book boyfriend status.
The fact that he notices the little things and quietly takes action without being asked absolutely melted my heart. He is thoughtful, supportive, patient, and has the biggest golden retriever energy. Every time he showed up for Emmie, I fell a little more in love with him.
I also loved that even though we've moved away from the NHL and into professional football, we still get those ice rink vibes because Emmie is a figure skater. It kept that sports romance atmosphere that I've loved throughout the series.
Another huge highlight was seeing all of the previous characters again. Even though this takes place years after the last books, the familiar faces are still present and it felt like coming home. Wyatt and Josie are still my favorite couple of the series (and their book is still my number one), but Mateo and Emmie's story comes in a very close second.
I also adored all of the new side characters. Kenadee Bryant introduced several characters that immediately made me want more books, and I am crossing my fingers that Mateo's college friends are getting their own series. I would read every single one. I also would have loved a book for Erin!
Most of all, I loved the growth both Mateo and Emmie experienced throughout the story. Their journey felt emotional, heartfelt, and worth the wait.
Fear of Forever gave me everything I wanted from Mateo's story and reminded me why I love this series so much. I'll definitely be picking up a paperback copy when it's released to complete my collection. Because this series deserves a permanent spot on my shelf.
Rating: 4.5⭐ Spice: 3🌶️ FMC: Emmie James MMC: Mateo Boone
Kenadee Bryant, you really did it. This last book of the series really closes it amazingly. Mateo Boone is everything. I’m absolutely swooning. He is such a sweetheart, and the way he is with his family is just so heartwarming. I love a good family setting and how they are all so supportive of each other.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mateo and Emmie. It was noticeable from the start, and I couldn’t get enough of them. Their relationship went pretty fast, but it didn’t feel that way at all. They communicated so thoroughly, and I loved every single part of them.
Emmie is a figure skater who wants to go to the Olympics one more time to win a gold medal, and Mateo is the quarterback football player who is anxious about the next season. They both understand the pressure of being an athlete, and really connect that way as well.
I wasn’t the happiest with the 3rd act breakup, but I understood it was unavoidable when the pressure became too much. It luckily was not a heavy one, and they reconciled pretty quickly. which I was happy about. They were absolutely perfect for each other, and they really made me so happy.
The thing I loved the absolute most in this story was that all the characters of the whole series came together. I loved reading and seeing everyone together, and the banter, but also the love between them. They are such a tight bunch who support and love each other dearly. I’m gonna miss them all so much. The Boone Family is absolutely fantastic and will forever be on my mind ♥
Thank you, Kenadee, for the ARC opportunity and letting me read Mateo and Emmie’s story early. I really appreciate it as I had a wonderful time.

Review: First of all a huge thank you to the author Kenadee Bryant and Meet Cute Marketing team for the e-ARC, this review is purely out of my own intention, honest and truest to myself and the book. Do note that my review does contain some spoilers so read if you want to❤️
Wow, after just finishing reading I don't know where to start but I'm really glad to see that Mateo didn't lose his personality despite growing up. Also in the previous books about Emily, I'm really glad that we readers and Emmie, our fiercely beloved FMC, got to know what happened between the two of them through Mateo opening up about his past relationship.
Honestly just like the past books in this series, at first it was a slow read but as I continue, it got me hooked and pulling me further into their found family heavy romance as the story between Emmie James and Mateo Boone begin. An Olympian figure skater trying her one last chance for gold who met the goofy, chaotic Star Quarterback at many different locations that started their fated romance. Their back and forth banter, having someone who knows what's it like to be in the spotlight and don't ask questions, their fierce competiviness as sports players, all of these just makes them perfect for each other.
Having seeing the other past MCs from the previous books such as Josie, Wyatt, Tasha, Trevor, Lydia and Landon getting their so well deserved happy ending just makes me so happy, so touched and so sad that this series is coming to an end. As sad as it is, I'm really thankful that I got to be on this whole journey with The Falling Series as well as getting sneaks at Mila and Bryton, Evelyn and Steven's stories. It is always not easy to see an series coming to an end but I can't wait to see what Kenadee has in store for the future. Oh and some future stories ideas that I would love to see is definitely the second generation's and as well as Erin's story with her two men. Can't wait for more good stories to come!❤️ Finished on 10 June.

💚Fear of Forever by Kenadee Bryant ARC Review💚 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have reached the end of The Falling Series by Kenadee Bryant. I have loved this series since first reading Fear of Falling. Mateo was always a standout for me as the youngest Boone brother. With his charismatic wit and banter with his brothers and their girlfriends. Mateo came across the comedic relief but underneath was a boy who was trying to be the best version of himself to make his mother and brothers proud. Our sweet boy Mateo is all grown up.
When I read the first couple of pages of Fear of Forever, I realized how much I have missed these characters. Seeing their growth, and where they are at in life now (no spoilers) was very emotional for me.
Mateo is the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Titans. Honestly, he has a heart of gold. Yet, he feels this immense pressure to bring his team another championship. You could feel that weight on his shoulders.
Then we meet Emmie. What a match for Mateo. Like Mateo, Emmie has high expectations for herself. As an Olympic figure skate. She is trying to make it to potentially her final Olympics to win a gold medal.
Both of them struggle with perfectionism in their own ways. Over time, Emmie and Mateo learn that they don't have to be perfect and can simply be the best versions of themselves. They bring out the best in each other and help one another realize that it's okay to ask for help when they need it.
And excuse me Mateo Boone……I was not prepared for your game. ❤️🔥
It was bittersweet reading this book. But I have had the best time reading this series and getting to know and love these characters.
Thank you to Kenadee Bryant and Meet Cute Marketing for this ARC. It was truly an honor.
Make sure to grab your copy of Fear of Forever 6/18!

Thank you to Kenadee Bryant and Meet Cute Marketing for providing me with an ARC of Fear of Forever in exchange for an honest review. I've been following this series since the very first book released, so I was incredibly excited to receive an early copy and finally get Mateo's story.
Having watched Mateo throughout the series, I couldn't wait to see him get his happily ever after and I loved the way his story unfolded. He completely stole my heart in this book. He was caring, funny, loyal and so easy to root for. Whether he was spending time with family, hanging out with friends, or getting to know Emmie, he brought so much warmth and charm to every scene.
Emmie was the perfect match for him. From the moment she was introduced, she stood out as a strong, independent heroine who wasn't afraid to challenge Mateo when he needed it. I loved that she had her own dreams and ambitions, and that she never lost sight of who she was throughout the story.
What I enjoyed most was watching their relationship develop. Mateo was immediately drawn to Emmie, but seeing him slowly get to know her and break through her walls made their connection feel genuine and rewarding. They supported each other, encouraged one another to chase their goals, and brought out the best in each other.
The chemistry between them had me smiling throughout the book. Their banter felt effortless, their emotional moments hit when they needed to, and I found myself completely invested in their journey. As someone who has loved this series from the beginning, Fear of Forever was such a satisfying addition, and Mateo and Emmie's story was absolutely worth the wait.
Kenadee Bryant has quickly become an auto-read author for me, and every book reminds me why I keep coming back to her stories. I can't wait to see what she releases next.
Fear of Forever is the fourth and final book in the Falling series, a set of standalone sports romances.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a banger. Not that I had any doubt going into it. I had loved Fear of Falling and Fear of Love, and this book was about Mateo, someone I had been eagerly waiting for his time to shine. But it is nice to know this book was worth the wait and the anticipation.
We had seen Mateo throughout the previous books as a comedic relief type of person who, from the outside, looked full of himself and a huge flirt. In this book, we were able to dive in and see the Mateo that he didn’t let many others see. He was so kind, caring, thoughtful and didn’t push boundaries. Overall, a truly amazing person and an amazing boyfriend who needed to find someone to see through his outer shell, and call out his bull shit. Even though he was still full of himself, it wasn’t in an arrogant way; more so, he knew what he was worth and wasn’t scared to show it. He cared deeply about people, especially his family. You saw how hard he tries and doesn’t want to let them down.
One of my favourite relationships in this series is Mateo and Josie, the MFC of the first book. They have a very close sister-brother relationship, and every time they were on the pages together, they made me smile.
Emmie was an amazing MFC to follow. She was complex and didn’t let Mateo put up with his bull shit. She was playful, but was feeling a lot of pressure about her potential last season as a professional figure skater. Although she was probably my least favourite MFC of the three, it wasn’t because I didn’t enjoy her as a character. It was more to do with how I related to the others, so I felt more connected to them. She was still an amazing character that held a lot of depth, and I truly feel Mateo and Emmie had found their match in each other.
I loved this book! I fear Meteo has topped Wyatt for my favourite, MMC in this series. I loved the banter of the two main characters, how pressure for their sports was done so well and how, without communication, relationships will be strained.
The only thing I have to criticise about this book is how I wish Mateo’s anxiety was explored more. It was mentioned throughout the book, but not in as much depth as I thought it could have been. Also, with the main conflict, I felt like it was brushed over a little too easily on one character’s end.
Kenadee Bryant is definitely an auto-buy author when it comes to sports romance.
Thank you, Kenadee Bryant, for an ARC opportunity.
Kenadee Bryant really sprinkled something addictive into this series because I have been in a full-blown emotional chokehold since book one, and Fear of Forever just tightened the grip even more. Huge thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC because this book was an absolute dream.✨
Mateo “I’ll make it fit” Boone? Excuse me, sir? 🤤🔥 Certified book boyfriend material. Star quarterback, golden retriever energy, effortlessly charming, and somehow still carrying layers beneath all the laughs. Watching him go from the easygoing guy everyone depends on to someone struggling under the weight of expectations made me love him even more. And then enters Emmie James, the fiery, determined figure skater with Olympic dreams and walls built sky high. Their meet cute was chaos in the best way, and the chemistry between them practically crackled off the pages. What I loved most was how balanced their relationship felt. Neither of them gave up their dreams for the other, but instead learned how to let someone in while still fighting for what they wanted. Mateo and Emmie challenged each other, supported each other, and completely stole my heart in the process. 🩵 The sports romance vibes in this book were done so well. Football pressure, Olympic stakes, forbidden tension because her dad coaches his team? Kenadee said “here’s some stress” and I ate up EVERY SECOND of it!!! The emotional moments hit hard, the romance delivered butterflies, and the character growth felt so genuine. Kenadee Bryant truly NEVER misses. Fear of Forever was heartfelt, swoony, emotional, and impossible to put down. What a way to go out with a bang. Mateo and Emmie now own a permanent little penthouse in my heart. 🥹 Available on : 06.18.26 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really loved this book. I liked how we saw a different side of Mateo. He was still this goofy guy who likes to annoy everyone but also has more depth and struggles that comes with adulthood.
Emmie was also a great FMC. She was fierce, strong and determined but also had a sweet and caring side. Yes she sometimes made decisions without really thinking clearly due to the pressure she put on herself and as a reader you are like « no please think about what you are doing right now » but I think it showed really well how hard it is to struggle with self-esteem sometimes and how it can lead to us hurting someone else.
I think the pressure they are both dealing with as athletes was well shown and a really great topic in the book. The fact that it was their own doing due to the fear of disappointing their families and friends and not an external party directly putting pressure on them was so real as it is oftentimes how it goes.
The relationship between them was so cute. I loved the evolution and the connection that grown the more they spent time together. I loved how they always supported each other. And the banter was so so good and hilarious.
As always in this serie, the found family was really one of my favorite aspect. I loved the banter and how they all care and show up for each other.
"Fear of Forever delivered all the warmth, chemistry, and found-family goodness I love in a romance."
Fear of Forever was my first book by Kenadee Bryant, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I loved the combination of a star quarterback and a figure skater, and Mateo and Emmie complemented each other perfectly. Mateo is lovable, funny, quirky, and endlessly charming, while Emmie gives off the ultimate black cat energy to match his golden retriever vibes.
Their meet-cute was adorable, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop through all the sweet moments that followed. The extended cast was equally fun to get to know, and it left me wanting to go back and read Kenadee Bryant's backlist to experience everyone else's stories.
While the central conflict was somewhat expected, it felt authentic to both characters and never came across as forced. I also appreciated that the third-act breakup didn't drag on for too long, allowing them to find their way back to each other in a satisfying way.
I'm always a fan of found family stories, and Fear of Forever delivered beautifully on that front. Fear of Forever has definitely made me excited to read more from Kenadee Bryant.
Disclaimer: Thanks to the author for the advance copy.
Although at first it seemed to me that there was too much description of certain moments and situations that were not important to the plot, and I sometimes found myself wondering when something would finally happen, the book still managed to intrigue me. I may have expected a bit more tension surrounding the development and maintenance of their relationship.
What I liked most was Mateo’s character—playful, boyish, cheerful, and seemingly carefree, yet underneath all of that there is a great deal of anxiety and concern about whether he is truly capable of what he is doing. At the beginning of the book, these worries are mentioned frequently, but then suddenly it feels as though they are no longer in focus.
What I found wonderful was getting to experience characters from the previous books again, this time in different stages of life and situations. And once again, I was reminded that Josie is still my favorite.
The book nicely brings the story and the series to a satisfying close. It may not be my favorite installment in the series, but I still found it lovely. I’m giving it 4.5 stars.
And thank you for the opportunity to receive an ARC.
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of this book before it’s released on 18th of June.
It was perfection. Ending the series with Mateo’s book who has been in every book of the series. I always knew he would be my favourite. He’s always made me laugh with his confident, cocky attitude and how he loved to wind up his older brothers.
Now Mateo is all grown up and what a guy he is!! I loved his and Emmie’s flirty banter with eachother and how quickly that man was down bad for her, I mean the guy bought hair ties to keep on him as she was always losing them. Emmie was the perfect addition to this series not falling for Mateo’s cocky charm right away and making him work to find out more about her. I loved how she was an Olympian chasing her dream to get gold and how they supported each other going after what they wanted.
I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to this series. The found family was everything. Hoping to get a little glimpse of these characters in future books.
The football player falls in love with his coach’s daughter. Mateo is a talented player with a bright future, a wonderful loving family and good friends. Being surrounded by love and amazing examples of healthy relationships only emphasizes how alone he feels and how much he wants what his brothers have. When he meets Emmie, an amazing figure skater that loves to bicker with him and give him hell, he falls hard and fast. Emma in under a lot of pressure to qualify for the Olympics and resists Mateo’s charm in order to concentrate on her performance. But Mateo is charming, supportive, adorable, perfect and the best person she has ever met and quickly brings down the walls around her heart. Fera of Forever is a five-star read for sure. The story has it all: tension, chemistry, spice, angst, funny banter and a lot of heart. Kenadee Bryant gives us two characters that are strong on their own, but even stronger together, who love with all their hearts, who have real insecurities and fears and fight for what they want. Thank you for the ARC
Thank you to Kenadee Bryant and Meet Cute Marketing for the honour of this arc!
This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first three because they're all sooo good!
I was so stoked to have been given an advanced copy of this because I DEVOURED this series and love it so much 😭 this is the last and I'm gonna miss all the Boone's+co so much 🥹
We all knew Mateo would be an amazing boyfriend from watching him grow in all the previous books. His goofy, fun, flirtatious personality is genuine and hilarious; the way he loved to rile his brothers up was my favourite 😂
Emmie is an Olympic figure skater and, like Mateo, is very driven, work focused, loyal, and sweet. Oh and she's Mateo's coach's daughter.
Their banter and playfulness was so funny, but when things got heated, they knew to be serious and honest. I love the author's writing style, everything flows so well and easily. It has honestly been a joy and honour to read, not just this book, but the whole falling series 🥰
Wow! What a way to end a series! Thank you so much Kenadee and Meet Cute Marketing for the ARC.
At 8% in I knew I was going to be obsessed with Emmie, she's so sassy! And Mateo knows how to push the right buttons, they are hilarious together and you just know that that chemistry is going to involve into something else.
Erin is such a girls girl and I love her endlessly. She is the perfect side character that pulls Emmie up on her shit but also supports her when she needs it. Queen behaviour honestly.
The hair tie 😭😭😭😭
Nothing could make me happier than when the girls all surrounded Emmie at the football game, it really felt like a true moment of friendship and they weren't even friends yet! The power in that moment was so beautiful and the found family (with a dash of real family) is so great.
THE CHEMISTRYYYYY
Ughhh and the spice! God damn!! He's filthy and its beautiful and Kenadee always just writes the right amount of spice and always puts it at the perfect spots.
Ohh this was such a good book, please do yourselves a favour and pick this up 💚
This was a sweet and heartfelt sports romance that beautifully balances ambition, family expectations, and finding love when you least expect it.
The MMC ( Mateo) is impossible not to love. The FMC (Emmie) was equally compelling. Their chance meeting sparked an instant connection, but the real magic comes from watching them slowly break down each other's carefully built walls.
The chemistry between Mateo and Emmie felt natural and authentic, and I enjoyed how their relationship developed alongside their individual journeys. Both MC's are chasing career defining goals, creating realistic tension as they try to balance love with the futures they've worked so hard to achieve. This is a charming story about taking risks and embracing vulnerability.
A heartwarming sports romance filled with chemistry, personal growth, and plenty of feel-good moments. Perfect for readers like me who enjoy driven characters, supportive families, and romances that inspire as much as they swoon. 💕🏒⛸️
I KNEW MATEO WAS GOING TO BE MY FAVOURITE ❤️❤️ I’m so in love with him, he was written to absolute perfection. I mean the man bought hair ties specifically because she would lose hers 😍 like stop this is making me swoon so hard.
Emmie was a force to be reckoned with. I love her, she was fiery, independent and oh so perfect for Mateo. The way she fit in with his family was beautiful, she was like the missing piece of the puzzle.
There is a teeny tiny 3rd act breakup that made me sad but it didn’t last very long thank god.
I just can’t believe this series is finished 🥺 I teared up at the end. Kenadee this whole series has been amazing! The found family you have created has been so loving and kind and I wish I was part of their world. It’s been such a joy to read.
I want to know more about Erin, Jake and Perry. But I’m also so intrigued by Elliot, Oliver and Jude ❤️🔥 Please tell me you’re writing about them at some point 😍
I don't think Kenadee Bryant can write a bad book. She writes such compelling characters with strong plots and great structure. It was hard to out this book down when I had to go back to real life.
Emmie and Mateo are magnetic. To each other and as a reader I loved watching their characters and relationship evolve. It was sweet, simple yet had so much depth. I love a coaches daughter trope because it adds just a hint (or more) of the forbidden aspect which add another layer for romance readers to enjoy.
The side characters, specifically Erin, were so entertaining and they added so much love and a sort of roundness to the story as a whole. I adored each side character.
And let me just say… Mateo is THE MAN! He’s so loving, kind and hilarious. I love the wit and banter he has with his friends and family. How he flirts with Emmie and bonds with her best friend Erin, it’s just the cherry on top of the best sundae. I dare you to not fall in love with him.
Thank you Kenadee and team for the ARC! 💚 I can’t believe that the final book to this series is finally here and it’s making me emotional!
Mateo has always held a very special place in my heart since the first book and to see him find his person was everything we waited for and more!
Mateo and Emmie are just perfect. I loved the connection that they had and how it just continued to grow. Their support for each other was just beautiful and of course the banter that they had was perfect. The way that Mateo fell for her was an amazing thing to witness. Him buying the hair ties, she knew that he was paying attention. I believe that Emmie was the greatest match for Mateo. He needed someone who understood him and what he was going through and she 100% did. She wanted him to succeed just as much as he wanted her to do the same!
I always loved this series because of the close knit family and I really enjoyed that the family had a bet on Mateo and Emmie after they all first met Emmie. If you are going to dish it out to your family, you need to be able to take it!
It hurts me to say goodbye to this series but I’m excited for what’s to come of the possible other books in the future and maybe for some characters we already met!!! 💚💚
This was a really full circle book and a nice way to end the series and I know we won’t but I want more of this whole group.
it was unexpected from how I thought it would be but honestly better than I thought
Mateo finally getting his book and getting his spotlight was perfect but no one will top Tasha and Trevor’s book and I love that we all got more to the whole groups story without taking away from Mateo and Emmie
I loved their meetcute(s)
I absolutely loved Josie even more in this book than her own and that’s saying something because I LOVE her book
The “coaches daughter” is a fun trope but this didn’t really add to the plot much and would’ve been fine with or without it
Quotes:
"I think you're getting a bigger ego every season."
"Well, well, well, it's Miss Not Happening. Now, who ran into who this time?"
"If you wanted unconditional loyalty, you should've gotten a dog."
"Don't let something real slip away because you were too scared to ask for it. You might be surprised by what they want, too."
"My mom always said I was like a dog with a bone when I got an idea stuck in my head."
An ice skater and football player trope? Hell yes!!! The final book of the series went out like a firecracker. If you know, you know 😏. Mateo and Emmie have been added to my lovely meet cute love story couples. Emmie is intense and guarded, she's selective on who she opens up to. Mateo is open but he chooses what to open up to. He's a family man, a great uncle and loving brother. The entire time I read his pov, I'm screaming: ‘marry that man!!’ Mateo is patient with Emmie and vice versa. Emmie is willing to give Mateo a chance, silencing that voice in her head that will say no. Both athletes, and know the pressure they are under but they do not pressure each other.
One of my favorite side characters was Erin, her bestie! She said it herself: “You’re meant for each other. It’s fate.”
Praying for the day Kenadee’s book series is adapted to a movie or TV series! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you Kenadee Bryant for this ARC Such a cute sports romance. I love when both main characters are in sports. Emmie and Mateo’s meet cute was adorable. And how it happened a few times really added to it. Love the family side/uncle side to Mateo. It really brought another side you don’t see too often from a sports book. I feel like most times there’s strain on the family but this one had an adorable family dynamic. I also liked the journey for Emmie and her dad to work through things and that added to the family side of things. The conflict towards the end was understandable for me. The pressure you have to feel when in a high stakes sport and event had to take a toll on you. I do think things couldn’t been handled slightly different but still good. I loved this book! Great characters, great story and great sports!
Thank you so much Kenadee and Meet Cute Marketing’s for this ARC🫶🏻 can’t believe this series is over😭 Just like the other books I knew Fear of Forever would be a masterpiece! And right I was, I had so much fun reading this and hanging out with this incredible found family. Emmie is such a queen, I love her and I inspire to be just like her. Mateo… I met him when he was just a hilarious kid teasing his brothers. Kenadee, girl you really fed us! THE MOUTH OF THIS MAN! I’M FERAL😩🌝 I’m excited for what’s next, maybe a book with a certain writer?👀 I will forever cherish this characters with my whole heart ❤️

“For the first time in a long time, the idea of forever didn't feel so terrifying.”🥹
Matteo…..the man, the myth, a green flagged legend❤️ I have been waiting for Matteo’s book since I first read Fear of Falling & it didn’t disappoint!! So happy seeing Matteo get his HEA, his character has been so selfless & caring throughout the series. Loved Emmie & Matteo together & seeing what all the other family members are up to. After reading the whole series my absolute favourite would still be……… Trevor & Tasha🥰🥰
🌸I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review🌸
“I’m with you because I want to be. Not because it’s easy or private. I’m not some girl who’s going to fall apart because people are watching.”
First book by Kenadee Bryant and it’s safe to say it won’t be my last. I’ve definitely got to go back and read the others because I feel like I’m missing out.
Emmie and Mateo just have such a strong connection. Watching them evolve and grow was beautiful. Banter was perfect. Mateo got me for sure.
I loved the whole group of friends. I love how easy things flowed for everyone and everything felt real.
I had so much fun with this one. Never got bored, and always found myself just wanting to pick it back up and see where everything goes. Forbidden romance will always be my favorite 😍 4.0/5⭐️ Huge thank you to Kenadee Bryant for this arc.
I love being able to watch Mateo grow throughout this series and i knew when we got his book it was going to be worth the wait. While Mateo is still his goofy self we all loved from the beginning he grew into an adult. Emmie is absolute perfection! Yes she struggles with self esteem issues but lets be honest who doesn't at some point in their lives. The way these two met was amazing and so cute! The found family in this book was everything to me. It takes a lot to find the people outside of the family you were born into to make you feel comfortable and safe.
