ASHER and NOVEMBER

I absolutely adored this book! The book combines some of the best tropes, love at first sight, like a BOOM, a dominant man and sweet but sassy woman, small town feels, family love and a little bit of suspense thrown in there.

November has left the Big Apple to go and live with her father who she has never known, but knows that he misses her and wants her back.
After surviving an attack, being save by a dog who she names Beast, breaking up with her boyfriend for cheating on her, with none other than her mother (Eww), she is ready to leave it all behind and start fresh in a small town of Tennessee.

She did not expect to cross paths into Asher Mayson, have him experience the BOOM of falling in love with her at first sight, but botching up his first impressions, yet never giving up.

Asher and November’s first meeting is hilarious. Asher manages to insult her, embarrass himself, make her laugh and judge him all at the same time!
November is perfect to bring his attitude down a peg, and challenge him. She maybe under the ‘Asher fog’, but she is not going to allow him to rule over her.

It doesn’t take much for November to fall completely in love with Asher, considering she already attracted to him, but his love, his attention, his ‘take-charge’ personality, his consideration, his steadfast-ness, even his alpha-ness that just tipped her over the edge.

“Kiss me,” he whispers his mouth brushing mine.
“No,” I whisper back, watching his eyes darken.
“Okay, then. I’m going to kiss you,”

Every scene and interaction between the main lead has you looking forward to reading their story and most of it is sugary sweet, and gives you the butterflies you should feel when you fall in love.
As slow as November wants to take it due to being cautious about her past, Asher breaks every road block, just barrels right through and puts November where he wants her.

“All I have to offer you is stability and love. I have nothing else. You’re beautiful, funny, smart, kind. And the sex, fuck me, sex with you is off the charts. If you left me—Christ!” He closed his eyes, shaking his head. “If you left me, I would never be able to find another you. Someone who fills my life with the beauty that only you give me. ”

I just loved how his family, especially his brothers took to her, and started treating her like their little sister, giving her not just friends for life, but sort of siblings as well.

But there is evil luring about around. A stalker who is behind November, between, her mother, the attack in NY and now this stalker, November needs all the help and security she can get, and Asher Mayson is going to make sure they have a future together.

Side note : Novembers mother is a nightmare. I mean, how does a mother such as her exist?! The emotional damage she has doen to November is seriously sick, not to mention the trauma she gave her towards the end. Thank God for Her father and Asher and their families to fill the void of love she had missed growing up.

The insight to other characters in the books to come ahead is great and adds so much, for a lack of better word, reality to the book. Makes to book more wholesome in a way, like a community kinda feel. *shrugs*

PS: Discussion about money is exactly what provider mentality is all about, and can I say I as fiercely independent as I am, I still love it!
