So much good sound theology mixed in this sweet love story
Toby had just found out some shocking news about his parentage when Lydia steps into his life. I loved the conflict and the conflict resolution. It’s so refreshing to see Christians handle things in a Christlike way. This book will be fun for all readers, but especially those who have followed Jenn’s books for years. If you don’t recognize the name Toby Matthews, I won’t spoil it for you, but trust me when I say you need to read this book.
I read that first sentence and thought, I want to see what happens next and that continued all thru this book. At times I was laughing and then I was hurting for the hurts they had suffered. Loved that forgiveness was woven throughout their lives and so many others.
Out of all of Jenn's stories, Open Book is my most favorite and I like all her stories. Broken people are messy people but Jesus redeems us. Thank you for a beautiful story!
Love this book! It made me think of how I handled myself in ministry situations. Was it grace filled or a result of a trigger from my past. Loved how you wrote with such empathy. I could see myself in Lydia and it brought me great joy to see the growth in her.
This is a gripping and emotional book dealing with families, forgiveness, church ministry, secrets, and how to deal with all of that. I appreciated the hurts the characters had to deal with, and appreciated the author's examples of how to do so.
