Ezra

She was the one who got away.
The girl I loved in silence while she built a life with the one person I never thought would betray us.

While I convinced myself she was happy, I buried my feelings deep and tried to build a life with someone else.

But one night, everything we trusted collapsed.
Her husband.
My wife.
Both of them betrayed us in ways we never saw coming.

Betrayal has a way of blowing open every secret you thought you buried.
What’s been hiding in the dark finally steps into the light.

Now, I have a chance to be the man she always deserved.
Even if she doesn’t feel the same.
This time, I can’t walk away.

Violet

They say the deepest wounds come from the people you trust most.
I never believed it—until the night my world shattered.

Two betrayals. One devastating truth.
And suddenly, I’m mourning people who are still alive.
People who chose to destroy everything we built.

As I pick up the broken pieces of the life I thought I had, secrets—ones that were buried so deep—begin to rise.
Truths that change everything I thought I knew.
And one of those truths is him…Ezra.

The boy who held my heart before I even understood what love was.
The man I thought I lost my chance with long ago.
The one who loved me quietly, even while I built a life with someone else.

Now that the truth is finally in the light, and for the first time in years, I feel seen, wanted, and safe. But after everything our best friends destroyed, my heart is still broken.
The scars of their betrayal run deep, and I don’t know if I’m brave enough to risk breaking again.

This book was an emotional roller coaster. From the very beginning in the first book I could tell that Rya was never a real friend. she was a snake to Violet and always jealous. Rya and Zayne deserve each other and all there karma. Ezra is is probably one of the best male characters ive ever read that's either the perfect book boyfriend or childhood best friend that everyone needs in there life. Ezra waited went through so much with Rya while she didn't even care and acted like she didn't do anyrhing wrong. Violet..... my heart feels for her deeply. She went through so much with Rya and and Ezra and they both made her feel crazy and acted like it was nothing..... Ezra and Violet needed to move on and work through there spouses betrayal.

Ezra loved Violet since they were kids and he always did even when she married zayne. Violet had feelings for Ezra and Rya of course had to manipulate everything in high-school. There were so many what-if? Violet and Ezra came together in time and and they had there ups and downs. Violet was scared to open up heart again to loose one of her best friends. Ezra being the kind man that he is gave her space and she's ready he'll be waiting. Im so happy Violet and Ezra got there Happy Ending and Violet did open a bakery with Ezras help.

Definitely recommend 👌 5 out 5 stars

First of all, I want to say Thank you to the Author for allowing me to read an Advance readers copy. I couldn’t express how excited I was to read this book.

I love how we got to read about Violets and Ezra’s journey of overcoming heartbreak. I also love how the journey wasn’t cheesy or unrealistic. I feel like Violets journey was well presented and showed how overcoming heartbreak and opening yourself up to a new relationship can be challenging. She had the opportunity to find herself then see if she really wanted to explore another relationship. I felt for Ezra and how he started to unravel the truth about his marriage and how he was literally living a lie with Rya. It was heartbreaking to see how Rya twisted things to her favor and prevented Violet and Ezra from exploring their feelings for each other when they were younger. Karma was literally the best chapter. I loved to read how Zayn and Rya had to live with the consequences of their actions. I feel absolutely 0% of sympathy for those two. All in all, I felt like this book wrapped everything up perfectly! 💕

Violet, oh Violet. I have been waiting for this book to come after the first book Friends that Break Us. What a way to finish it. Of course i wanted more and was hoping for an epilogue, but I was delightfully happy with how it ended. Violet was a bit frustrating, but with so much reason. I absolutely love how Mia Skye writes, she makes you feel their exact feelings. When they hurt, I felt it, when the were confused I felt it. This Duet has all the feels and tropes romance readers love, friends to lovers, childhood besties, betrayal, second chances, slow burn, and trauma. I definitely recommend this book duet!

I having been looking forward to this book from the moment I finished - Friends That Break Us. Every question that I had from that was answered with this second book.

A lot of lies and truths are revealed to Violet and Ezra which brings out more hurt. This is a story of betrayal from people that were supposed to love and be there for you and also having a second chance at a love you thought was not possible.

I would have loved for there to have been more karma that hurt Zayn and Rya, but overall I was satisfied with the ending.

I feel like I have waited for this duet FOREVER!!! This was the perfect ending to the cliffhanger in book one.

Thank you Mia for giving me the story of Zayne, Rya, Ezra and Violet. I truly love how in the end everything came full circle and the truest of love was found!

Friends That Heal Us will have you in your feels especially if you read book 1 and know all the betrayal that was happening. Everyone got exactly what they deserved, bad and good.

4.5 ⭐️ This book was everything I needed after the trauma from book 1! 😂 both the FMC and the MMC were just what each other needed and I loved feeling like I watched their love blossom. They deserved this and this was perfect.
