This book is a collection of primary documents throughout the recorded history of Latin America. It is clearly edited for the classroom, but it can certainly serve as a resource for anyone who has questions on particular time periods or topics within Latin American religious recorded history.
As far as primary source collections go, this is solid, thorough, and diverse. Most of the big names are included. My only problem with the collection is that, actually, it is somewhat shorter than it probably should be. In order to cover the entire range of religious writings in Latin American history, 400 pages simply isn't enough to give enough space to each document. There are some documents that could definitely use some more attention and less editing than they received. Personally I would have liked more space for Gutierrez and Jewish history.
Nonetheless, it's a good resource to have around whenever a question is thought up or an interest in something is developed.
