I picked up this book after one of the girls on the same ward as me was reading this book and she was struggling to finish it. I totally see why, this book is awful. Maybe awful is to strong of a word, it’s bad. I had never heard of this author and neither had my friend but she decided to read this book after she had seen another author who wrote a rockstar romance book that she adores publicly post about this book and we wish she hadn’t! (Hey you if your reading this don’t EVER do that to your fans again, what the hell was you thinking!?)
This book is grammatically awful, did she edit it herself? It was terrible, she either needs to fire her current editor and invest in a far better editor or stop editing it herself.
The whole thing is just unrealistic, the way the characters speak, maybe it’s because the author is English? Some of the way she wrote things was annoying eg “as use left her” Please hire a fricking editor it’s not USE, please look up this word in the dictionary.
The lead character is just dumb, I know people who have actually gone through what the female character has gone through and let me tell you something there is no way they would of acted how the female lead acted, can I just add in it’s weird how both the author and the lead character have the same name, how unimaginative and extremely lazy writing. She can’t write for shit, has she even read a book in her life? I looked at the reviews on amazon how the hell has it got 5 stars? I nearly died when I saw someone had wrote “I always tell the truth when I write reviews” let me tell you something if you have to write that in your review then you are lying! I was not gripped from the start, I didn’t connect with the female lead, she was flat and boring and don’t get me started on the support characters, how anyone is looking forward to book 2 is beyond me, don’t waste your money on buying this book. The ending in the book is stupid, *Bang* what kind of moron ends a book like that. It didn’t leave me speechless, I was pulling my hair out in frustration some people are not meant to be authors and this is one of them, you know that saying you can’t polish a turd, yeah well that’s totally the case here. I’m glad I borrowed my friends copy and didn’t waste my own money on this book! 1 star is to kind for this book.

Debut book by d. Griffith.

Danni has been thru a lot. Broken by the one man she let in(Dillon). She takes a vacation with some friends and her sister, and falls for the host hard(jared), they share a special night and he makes her feel again. Can she be true to herself & let another man in?
Will he hurt her too?

I received this as a prize in a giveaway from the author. It took a while to get in to the story, I like to have some background at the beginning it wasn't really there. But once I got in to it I was hooked. I loved that this is a multi POV book so we get to see some of the before meeting from jared.

Danni is such an innocent girl. In experienced, but she's been thru so much. You can't help but feel for her. She captured my heart with her strength. #Survivor.

That ending omg should have guessed it would be more than one look at the title *face palm*

I really enjoyed this debut and I cannot wait to read pt2

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. This is D. Griffith's debut book, as I understand it. She did a great job! I enjoyed the story and all the characters in it! It's a very long book and sometimes too many details were given (but it was still good). Poor Danni went through alot with her ex. She's got a huge scar on her neck and other scars that clothes cover. She goes on vacation with her friends and meets...rich Jared!!! They have quite the relationship going and it almost gets blown! Some of the terminology used in this book isn't the same as we use in the United States, but I figured it out and it, to me, made it more interesting! Be aware though, it ends with a cliffhanger....UGH!!! Looking forward to reading "Reveal"!

For D.Griffith's debut novel, this was wicked good!
I want a Jared, please? Like pretty, pretty please?
I was hooked from page one, I wanted to know all of Danni's secrets, and why she was so guarded. I loved the chemistry between her and Jared. I felt that all the characters in the book had their need to be there, and felt connected to them, too.
Loved the cliffhanger ending, cant wait for book two!

From start to finish this book had me enveloped in the story line and emotionally connected to the characters. In love with the way this story evolved and had me reeling from the emotional, climactic ending! Yearning to read the next book in this series. I expect great things from this author in the future. Definitely a must read!

This book I found amazing, D.Griffith did an amazing job for her first début novel. I loved the characters, they gelled well, they were realistic written well. The love story between Jared and Danni, is amazing and also frustrating. I wanted to but their heads together. Danni has had alot happen to her and she trying her best to overcome what happened to her, she puts an upfront on but deep down you can tell how broken she is. When her and Jared get together it epic but its such a roller-coaster for them both I really want these guys to have a happy ending. I was on my seat from start to finish. Full of suspense and that ending OMG I've read alot of ending and this topped it. I never once seen this coming. I was left shocked and speechless. Well done D.Griffith you've done an amazing job. I cannot wait for Reveal now I want answers now!!!

I was gifted a copy in exchange fro an honest review.
Wow this book starts with a bang and ends with a bang literally leaves us with a huge cliffhanger. Jared and Danni go thru a lot of ups and downs thru out this fast paced drama filled debut book. I couldn't put it down. Very well written. A few times I wanted to throw my tablet thru the wall with some of the things that go on. Looking forward to the next book to see how everything goes for Danni and Jared and whether they finally get their HEA. The secondary characters were awesome as well and really help add to the story.

"Rebuild" by D. Griffith is a debut of this authors books. First time reading but will not be my last. I was given this book for an honest review and I have to say that I really liked it. We have Danni who has gone through quite a bit with her ex. She has scars both emotionally and physically that she will live with for the rest of her life. She meets Jared while on vacation. Their relationship goes through good and bad times. There is quite a bit to the story, and some of the words used are not common to our slang in the USA. Great, quick read that you won't want to put down.

This story had so much potential but due to the very poor grammar & punctuation it was totally ruined, not to mention I felt it was being told by a middle schooler.
I didn't like any of the characters. They had no depth & I really struggled to finish the book.
I'm glad it's over now & I won't be reading the next one!

This was one fantastic book to read. I loved it right from page one.  The author had me hooked, it made me ask questions about myself.

From the start you wonder who Danni would rather not face today? The next question I asked myself was what was safe? Danni has definitely been made to feel worthless by someone in her past. She likes to go into her own little world in her head. I love how Danni has something like a dressing gown to soothe her. She is not a comforted person at all.

Her Sister Andi was fantastic. Danni thinks her sister is the most beautiful person you will ever meet. Andi comes across to me that she is the type of person who will always be there for Danni through thick and thin. She is definitely a shoulder to cry on for Danni, but she does give the sister tough love when Danni needs it. Andi does not know how to have a mouth filter… HA! Danni doesn’t want her sister to worry about her though and she wants her to be able to enjoy her life. Danni hopes one day that she will find what Andi and Alex has which is a happy husband to call home like who Alex is to Andi.  Alex is Andi’s husband.  Alex treats Danni like a little sister. Danni has a brother called Adam as well.  Danni, Andi, and Alex are off on holiday to Rome where they are joined by Danni’s best friend Darla, Darla’s boyfriend Carl and Katie and Katie’s fiancé Jay.

Darla is just like Danni’s sister. She is loyal, caring, funny, feisty, and elegant and with a touch of snob which is thrown in for good measure… LOL.  Darla looks out for Danni. Danni has known Jay for years. Jay use to fancy Danni until Katie came into the picture. Well Katie at the start was a complete bitch, but everyone loved her despite that.  Danni and Katie have never seen eye to eye, so I was so hoping to see a bitch match when reading about Danni and Katie hating each other so damn much!  When they all went on holiday to Rome, Danni was the odd-ball out because everyone was coupled up.  I think Danni definitely wanted a sick bucket… LOL. It was so funny when Alex asked Danni if she was okay.

Alex: “Are you okay?”

Danni: “Yes I am just shocked at how stunning this place is, what this guy, like a billionaire is”

Jared: “Well I don’t like to brag, and I wouldn ’t use these words exactly, but thank you”.

This was really written and all I did was laugh a lot at that bit because Danni was not excepting the owner to walk in on her saying what she said.  LOL  When I first read about the hot guy he totally reminded me of one of my book boyfriend’s Trey Baker but without the long hair. OMG where to start to tell you about Jared, he is smoking hot for starters. He is a total sweetheart but he can be a straight up douche at times. That will not stop you though for falling in love with him. Jared has long hair which Danni hates on a man.  However, she thinks his long hair looks perfect on him.

Danni at first realizes who Jared is which was so funny to read about.  Jared and Alex are great friends from when Alex lived in the US. Jared loves doing puppy dog eyes to Danni. I so wanted Jared’s bed in the villa in Rome. It just sounded so out of this world!! Jared has a sister called Julie. Julie has a son and a daughter.  Julie is very protective over Jared.  Danni acts like a school girl when she first meets Jared.  I loved how the author made Danni sound very subconscious in the way she talks about her.  Danni has a lot of crazy bitch moments in this book, which I just loved!!  Danni’s inner self can be a right bitch sometimes. Andi and Darla know what has happened to Danni in her past,  which makes you think what has happened to her in her past?  It was reading how the young kids wanted Danni to dance with them, when Jared and her were out and about in Rome. Danni does think that Jared thinks she is a lunatic. She does feel uneasy around men, but with Jared not so much. It was so nice that Jared made Danni giggle and smile a lot. I had a giggle when Danni said to Carl she will have to Judo chop his ass…

This was amazing for being a first novel by Danielle Griffith yes there was a few spelling mistakes but this in no way took anything away from the storyline itself which was interesting, emotional, exciting and flowed throughout the book, as we the readers should realise this was her debut novel and I am sure as she becomes more established these type of mistakes will diminish every new author deserves a chance and the focus should be on the story itself which in my opinion was excellent, Danni's abuse started when she was just a child, her Mother although showing love and affection towards her siblings dismissed Danni, she showed no interest in the young Danni what so ever, this left her feeling confused as to why her Mother could love her sister and brother but not her, Danni went on to enter into an abusive relationship with her ex which both scared her emotionally and physically, this ended with her in intensive care fighting for her life, her ex has impacted her life so much so that it has left her feeling worthless and ugly because of the scar running down the side of her neck which her ex inflicted upon her, she is grateful for her family and friends and believes if not for them the rest of her life would be spent in her being alone and unloved.
Jared was not looking for love as events and secrets of the past made him feel unworthy, convinced he is happy enough after all he is a billionaire and handsome, he has had some of the worlds most beautiful women on his arm at one time or another and believes he can have almost any woman he desires, that is until the one who has just entered his home in Rome shows little interest in him, there is something different about Danni which only makes him more determined to win her over.

I read this book on a recommendation from a friend of the author who told me how good the story was and how it had great potential. However, I didn't even get past chapter 2, and I only got that far our of sheer determination. The story may well be great, and it probably does have great potential, but the grammar was so bad that I couldn't get past it. I don't mind reading a book with grammatical errors as long as the mistakes aren't too numuerous and the story is gripping, but these mistakes were obvious ones that a primary school pupil wouldn't make. Where, were and we're are often mixed up, along with there, their, they're. There are also strange moments of text speak within the book, such as 'uve'. These mistakes are too great to ignore and make the book impossible to read. My advise to the author would be to get the book edited. I was lucky to not have paid money for this book, but someone may see the many 5 star reviews for this book (huh? All I can say is she must have called in a lot of favours for those false reviews!) and buy it, actually spend hard earned money on it, only to find that it's unreadable. Please don't cheat your readers and get this work edited.

This book was given free by the author for an honest review.

Rebuild is D. Griffith's first novel and has a fantastic story line. I really enjoyed it.

Danni hasn’t had much luck with men and having received some bad scars (from her ex) on her body means she has little confidence in herself. That is until she meets the very HOT and very RICH Jared while on vacation with her friends and family.

Jared doesn’t do commitment or relationships but has been drawn to Danni in such a way he wants to be the one that can give her the confidence she needs to be able to see herself as the beautiful person she is.

This is one roller-coaster of a read and with twists and turns it will have you wanting book 2 straight away.

Well done Danielle on your debut novel and I cannot wait to make a start on book 2.

DNF there are times when I see that a person hasn't finished a book that I throughly enjoyed and I thought 'r u crazy' and maybe this time will be like that for other readers. But I couldn't keep reading that. It wasn't good and I feel like I've been tricked into reading it because of all the high reviews when really it was a editorial mess. I'm sorry I hate not finishing a book but I did not like it.

What do I think? I think the author left it on a hell of a cliffhanger! BANG - Quite literally! I loved the characters, I found them easy to relate too, espesh Danni. What a brave young woman she is. The story flowed effortlessly and I read it on one sitting. For a new author she really did a bang up job... no pun intended!

Really liked the blurb on this book and the idea sounded really good. It ended on a cliffhangar and will read the 2nd book to find out what happens, but sadly the grammar and spelling really let it down.
