Sci-fi romance with a twist

When I read the prologue I wasn't sure where the story was headed. But a few chapters in and I had to finish! Rogue Robot is a very well thought out and written love story that shouldn't be but is. Meet Abby the socially awkward scientist who doesn't see her own worth. Abby is recruited for a top secret project that has gone askew and embarks on a journey to find out where the project went wrong. She meets Four, a humanoid AI that is thought to be potentially dangerous based on an incident. But is he truly dangerous or just misunderstood? Abby sets out to find answers and instead finds more questions, more things that just aren't adding up. Along this journey Abby starts to find herself drawn to four in ways that startle her. Everyday he seems more and more human like. Attraction builds. Abby tries to repeatedly dig for more information on Four's origins, seeking to find why something feels familiar about him. As days go by Abby and Four draw closer mentally, emotionally, and eventually physically.
Subterfuge, hidden secrets, a director who seems out to impede her research and cast implications of professional misconduct all throw Abby into a spiral that overlaps her doubts of the growing relationship she has with Four.
Four's intriguing mix of programming, limitless adaptations of not just human characteristics but emotion as well and his pleasing looks makes one wonder what is truly possible in artificial intelligence. Could AI beings transcend to human? Can they feel and love?
I was honestly thinking this was going to be a cheesy read that I wouldn't know what to think or feel. David Roeburn has woven a thrilling tapestry of the impossible intertwined with all that's possible in this book. Well developed characters that draw you in so well you find yourself cheering their wins and anxious when things get harrowing. Does our heroine get her happy ending or will secrets and danger prevail? Read it for yourself and find out.

Loved Rogue Robot

David did a great job with this sci-fi. I'm a big fan l, although this is the first one I've read with a robot. I loved everything about Four. He would have been the best dream guy and if I Dr. I would have fallen too. Abby knew she was in trouble but how could she not when Four was what he was?
There are a twists and turns in this book and the beginning a little confusing but overall, I'd read it again and excited for Rogue Robot 2.

A flow through a sweet Rogue romance between human and robot

This book with a flight into Sci-Fi and romance. It drew me from the moment Abby walked into the Lab and saw four. The trip and journey through their romance is sweet and you can feel the both falling along the way, even the Rogue Robot. What really makes human or machine in this book.
I really enjoyed this book and I know you will too.

Sci-fi and Romance Mix

Blending sci-fi and romance can be a tricky mix, but this story pulls it off perfectly. It balances futuristic ideas with genuine emotional stakes that keep things interesting. I really loved the concept of a machine discovering something much deeper than its programming. It gives the plot a surprising amount of heart alongside all the action. If you enjoy fast-paced science fiction with a strong romantic thread, this is a genuinely fun ride.

Paranormal romance.

Great paranormal romance. With some suspense and spice. What a great combination. I love that they mentioned murderbot. I just read the book and watched the show.
