this book is STUNNING!
the characters, the relationships, the turmoil, the plot, the writing, the cliffhanger.. so, so well done! nothing feel rushed or forced, and the story started in the perfect place. i know some people would like more world building at the start but honestly? drop me straight into the action! this book certainly delivered there.
i need book two right now!

I went into Sovereign Oathbound already intrigued by the premise. A triad chosen by the gods, bound together in marriage for the prosperity of the land. Such a good hook. I ended up completely invested in the people at the heart of it before I was even halfway through.
What I loved most was how naturally the relationship developed. Vonetta, Chiron and Wren don’t fall into an instant romance. Their bond grows from strangers forced together by circumstance into something that feels earned, tender and deeply sacred. I especially appreciated that when problems arose, they actually communicated. With maturity! 🙌 No endless misunderstandings, no avoidable drama. Just three people learning how to choose each other. 👍
I was expecting MFM, so discovering MM elements between Chiron and Wren was a wonderful little treat. So well written. And hot. Tender and hot. Did I say hot? Each character brought something different to the dynamic, and together they complemented one another perfectly.
The writing was highly readable, the romance was heartfelt and believable, and Wren’s gradual journey out of his shell was one of my favourite parts of the book.
And then there’s that ending.
That plot twist has left me with more questions than answers and a desperate need for book two. I have theories. I have concerns. I have spent far too much time trying to determine whether certain characters are actually related. I need answers immediately.

Such a beautifully written romantic fantasy. Three strangers chosen by the gods to rule together in a triad, slowly finding their way to each other as their past trauma, anxiety, and emotional baggage shape every interaction along the way.
The spice is beautifully written, especially when all three are together. The angst is heartwrenching, the yearning is intense, and the characters and their relationship seem real and complex in a way that's really satisfying. Tender, sweet, and beautifully intimate in a way that elevated the romance beyond just the heat. ...But the heat is there, too!
That plot twist...? Uuum well, a little less solid for me. It has the potential to upend everything going forward and I'm still sitting with it.
Loved this one. But I'm choosing not to dwell on the taboo that ending seems to be hinting at and just assuming things are not as they seem for now.

Sovereign Oathbound was such a fun read for me. I’m an absolute sucker for a fantasy with lovable characters, prophecies, and a journey that feels bigger than the characters themselves, so this book was already checking a lot of my boxes.
The character development was there, the story kept moving, and I especially loved the tension between the FMC and her two MMCs. The relationships felt engaging, and I found myself invested in where everyone was headed. The way the characters deal with their own emotions and issues during their trials was written in a way that felt real and authentic.
Overall, this was an enjoyable fantasy adventure with great character dynamics, plenty of tension, and enough intrigue to keep you hooked until the last page. And that ending?! Was worth the ride.

Sovereign Oathbound by Caelia Bevanor was such an amazing read!
I really loved the main characters - Vonetta, Chiron, and Wren. They each felt so unique and well-developed, and the way the author wrote them made them feel incredibly real. One thing I especially appreciated was how their relationships developed. Instead of everything happening instantly, they started off unsure and even reluctant about their situation, which made their growth and connection feel so much more authentic and rewarding.
The world-building was another highlight for me. It felt rich, immersive, and thoughtfully crafted. I found myself completely invested in it from start to finish.
The story itself also stood out as something truly unique, both in its concept and execution, which made it even more engaging to read.
And that twist at the end? Absolutely phenomenal! I need the next book immediately. I can’t wait to continue this journey!

So I actually finished my ARC for Sovereign Oathbound back in June, but I’m a little behind on getting things posted lol lol. However, we are now back on track! Thank you so much to Caelia Bevanor for an ARC of your debut!
Sovereign Oathbound follows 3 MCs set in a world where the gods grant blessings and the trinity upholds peace & tranquility through their connection as a triad. I thought this was a really interesting concept!! No one knows who will be chosen until the Gods do so themselves. A major theme in this book surrounds duty vs choice. Our MCs all have different ways in which they view this and how it influences their actions with each other. Netta and Chiron have an easier time accepting this massive duty that has been thrust upon them. Wren struggles the most given his background which is quite different- he thought he would spend his life as a scholar, following his brother’s dream. He definitely needs about 285572 additional kisses etc. from Chiron and Netta. 😌 We see a lot of their journey spent trying to figure out how to be in a relationship with each other as it’s all a very new thing! I like how they really are just big softies for each other with the slow burn lol lol.
Given the ending of the book, I’m pretty curious how things will play out in book 2! It seems there are more mysteries to uncover regarding the trinity and it will be interesting to see how the lore ties into all of it!

I’m one of those readers will choose a book solely depending on its cover art. Sometimes I don’t even know what the story is about but the art piqued my interest enough that I want to find out.
Sovereign Oathbound is not only a book whose cover is beautifully captivating, but the book itself is so exquisitely written.
Caelia is such a fantastic storyteller in that you find yourself living right beside the characters as they go through both hardships and triumphs.
And that ending? I cannot wait to see what awaits Netta, Wren and Chiron in book two.

The Kingdom of Elemyr has always been ruled by a chosen triad, a representative of the land, sea, and sky. Three have been chosen-Vonetta, Wren and Chiron. They must consummate the relationship as part of the rite then survive several trials to strengthen their bond. Each trial tests their physical and mental strength, but they never anticipated how it would test their bond—especially when one of them begins to have doubts. Another layer of tension is added with a new revelation about one of the three!
Love/Don’t Love:
The development of the bond between this trinity was beautiful. So sad at times. Interesting trials. Intriguing ending! Hope to read book 2!
There were a few parts where I felt the pacing was slow. Building more of the character’s depth, however could have deepened emotional impacts when it came to themes of betrayal and love.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review (thank you BookFunnel). Going into this read, I wasn’t sure what to expect, given that I am a newcomer in terms of stories that focus on fated love/fated mates. That’s not to say I’ve never read anything with destiny or fate as an aspect of love, but only that those elements, when present, have always been one facet amongst many, and not the only connection the lovers have tying them together in their story. The red string of fate, after all, is an old concept that shows up in various cultures’ myths, so I’m more than familiar with love stories that feature divine or magical bonds that bind people to each other.
That being said, I had a hard time feeling the connection between the three leads, and didn’t believe the chemistry that was supposed to be palatable during their intimate moments. I wanted to believe it, and enjoy their relationship, but beyond their duty to one another and to their roles, I just kept waiting for them to be connected by something personal, rather than their binds of fate/the gods.
I also kept waiting for some kind of personal desire (the want) to be expressed by any of the three leads. We know what they have to do, and in some cases we know what they don’t want to do, but there’s never any indication of what any of them WANT. They desire for the bond/trials to go well, but that life was chosen for them, not by them. Everything in the story is about going through a series of tasks because it’s expected of them. It’s reactive and passive. None of them had goals or ambitions or anything along those lines.
Their personalities are equally bland and serviceable. Vonetta is serious and dutiful. Chiron is playful and charming. Wren is shy and resourceful. Beyond that, they enjoy each other’s bodies. I got whiplash from how hot and cold they were at times to each other. Conflicts came up, and were resolved within the next chapter, of not in the exact same chapter.
I want to be clear, I didn’t hate this book; I enjoyed reading it at times. But I don’t think I’ll be continuing with the others in the series when they release. I reserve the right to change my mind, but that’s how I’m feeling about it at this time.

After very nearly falling into a reading slump following a rare DNF, this ARC was exactly the book I needed.
Sovereign Oathbound pulled me in far more quickly than my previous read and reminded me how much difference it makes when you connect with the characters early on.
I really enjoyed the balance between the fantasy elements, political tensions, and developing relationships throughout the story. There’s plenty of intrigue, shifting loyalties, and larger mysteries being set up, but the characters remained the heart of the book for me.
I especially enjoyed watching the relationships evolve as the story progressed. The tension between duty, expectation, and personal choice created some really compelling character moments, and there were several points where I found myself reading “just one more chapter” before inevitably carrying on.
This definitely feels like the beginning of a bigger story rather than a completely self-contained book, but it did enough to leave me invested in what comes next.
And then there was that ending…
I could tell something was coming, and I spent the final chapters trying to work out exactly what the twist would be. I wasn’t completely shocked when it arrived, but it wasn’t quite what I had imagined either, which made it a very effective cliffhanger. This book is the breath of fresh air fantasy has been desperate for. No filler bs that weighs down the story or creates boring lulls where you question if it’s worth continuing to the good parts. It’s easy to read but depth was not sacrificed for it. The writing is BEAUTIFUL, haunting and a little cheeky at some points. Nothing is forced and you aren’t told how you should feel.
What stuck out more than anything for me (besides the ending) is the complexity of all the characters. From the moment you start you can feel that not only do their stories go so much deeper, but the entire world she built through the eyes of the Trinity does as well. I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say this book makes you want to read as fast as possible to get answers.
Netta, Chiron and Wren are all multilayered in the most beautifully painful ways. Their flaws are shown to you just as much as their strengths. They’re REAL, not 12ft perfect, unattainable myths that fit like a picture perfect puzzle. The dialogue is the kind that makes you forget you’re reading a book instead of actually listening to them conversing. The spicy scenes are beautifully done, not too much and not too little. The build up and tension will have you ready to explode before you get them though 🫠

Can we take a minute to appreciate the gorgeous writing? Every scene, every new place the characters travelled to, every emotion is described in such beauty.
The stakes are somewhat low, but the emotional hurdles these three have to overcome are what brings them even closer. Every event pushes the story forward at a perfect pace. I do have a feeling the stakes will be much higher in the next book after that twist ending though!
Btw, Vonetta is my favorite. She grounded in her beliefs, works through her doubts and continues her path with assured steps. I adore her. She is everything I would love to be.
Chiron & Wren have my heart. I know I was supposed to be frustrated with Wren at some points…however, I totally understood & felt for him from the very beginning! Being “the chosen one” is not all it’s chalked up to be. But, I love that they are her husbands as much as they are each other’s🥰

Sovereign Oathbound was an absolutely beautiful read in which three strangers are chosen by the gods to be bound together as the next rulers of the realm. The story follows the triad as they endure three trials to solidify their bond before they can ascend to the throne as the trinity. The triad must learn to trust and rely on each other or there will be dire consequences for the entire kingdom and let me tell you: this atmospheric MMF romantasy had me mesmerized.
The pacing in this story is immaculate. Coming in under 300 pages, the story manages to be both concise and immersive. The way Caelia Bevanor weaves this tale had me losing control of my face as I read. This was a fast read, but a powerful one and I need the next book YESTERDAY. The writing was interesting, it reminded me of fantasy books I read a long time ago which was thrilling! But the world of elemyr and that characters, that's what really captured my interests. A lot of romantasy leans into big worldbuilding, politics and side characters but that's not this story. We're focused on the three main character, who are a throuple. Vonetta is a priestess on an isle of entirely women. Like avalon or something from old myths and legends. Wren is a scholar/priest, broody and intellectual. Chiron is the prince, the heir to throne of the isle kingdom and a charmer. They are all chosen to be the next royal trinity, a custom thats as unique as the island itself. the trials are nature based, and relationship based. The magic isnt showy, its subtle and natural. I dont want to spoil the plot for anyone but I will say that it's about the interior parts of these three people, how they deal with their destiny and stations. It was hard to pick a favorite but I definitely hated one of them for a while 😆. This is definitely a read I'll recommend to people who want a love story in a fantasy setting oh and that plot twist??? I dont even know what to think but I did not see that coming!!. The spice was good, way more that i expected but totally hooked me in!

He made the biggest impact on me since I felt he acted the most realistic when it comes to those Chosen to forced from their homes to become part of The Trinity! Chiron was literally perfect, he practically had no flaws (That I know of, YET) but the way he cares for both of his partners was amazing. So touching and lovely. Vonetta is a simple priestess, but her way with Wren and Chiron feels so real. I just loved them and the way they show their love for one another.
I'm super excited for the next book after that ending. I didn't see it coming until the last few pages! I should have, but I was too glued to this book to realize!

This was a slow one for me to get into at first but eventually I couldn't put this down.
The main characters were something else being dragged into something because they were chosen.
Each one is very different from each other but they work whether it's the bond or from their own choices.
Wren, Vonetta and Chiron all have their story and very well written you feel for them, Chiron born into this, Wren taken from his only place that felt like home and Vonetta taken from the sisters of the isle.
All struggling but I did get frustrated with someone I understand why they did it but I hated how much they hurt them.
Also what was that ending, omg what even happened between the previous trinity. I'm hoping they accept the new trinity after this new information and I'm now worried about that certain someone using it to their advantage in the first place when finding out other information to leave.
I can't wait for book two, despite this being a slow start for me, I enjoyed it and finally the spicy scenes were getting good, we need more of this trio.

This was genuinely such a refreshing romantasy read! The story follows Vonetta, Wren, and Chiron as they face physical and emotional trials tied to their future as the Gods-chosen rulers of Elemyr. Although they get along well enough, they are still very different characters with their own struggles, worries, and views of the Trinity they’re a part of. Reading the book felt so easy, which isn’t a bad thing! There is a great foundation for world-building on top of what is already written and focuses on the complexities of an arranged marriage where they learn where duty ends and a choice begins. There was no unnecessary miscommunication, no person on the outside trying to thwart their plans or their rule, no one who was objecting to them, and no political intrigue. All of those feelings of love and calmness distracts you from the creeping unease toward the end of the book because, as a reader, you KNOW something has to go wrong; There’s no such thing as a happy ending if there’s a second book in the works. While the cliffhanger was expected for me, it still leaves me with so many questions and theories about what will happen in the next one!

Firstly, this is so beautifully written. The imagery is amazing, and I felt transported to Elemyr from the get go. Netta, Wren and Chiron are three compelling characters who compliment each other to perfection. I was slightly disappointed by their trials, but I think that's very much a Me problem, as I'm too used to deadly trials. Once I adjusted my mindset, I liked the journey they embarked on. It wasn't epic, but it was captivating.
My sole complaint is that I felt, for all the beautiful imagery, that the world-building was lacking. Again, this could well be a Me problem, but I wanted to know more about the religion and politics. Why was the new Trinity being selected when the previous rulers were still in place? Maybe I missed that somewhere...
Regardless, I still devoured this from beginning to end. I just wanted a little more world-building to satisfy my curiosity.

I was very intrigued by the concept of the story about how the three main characters are bonded together by duty to form the new Trinity. I haven't read a book where it was MMFMC before which was also very interesting to see how the dynamics would work between them.
In some parts of the book, I was really drawn into the story especially with the trials that they had to all do together and how they would get through them and the mystery around what happened to Vonetta's mother. I did sadly struggle to believe the relationship between the three of them as there were moments where they weren't talking to each other after Wren's confession and then the next minute, they were all in bed together. It did feel a bit rushed in places.
I did however enjoy the book overall and would be interested to read Book 2 after the revelation at the end!

I really enjoyed this book but especially loved the writing style. It took me a few chapters to really get into the style since it reminds me so much of some of the older styles from the greats. Once I wrapped my head around it though, it flowed beautifully and I enjoyed being immersed in this world.
The twist at the end is *chefs kiss* and I was not prepared for it at all!

This debut feels less like a romantasy and more like a romance in a fantasy setting. The idea is interesting, but there’s very little conflict outside of the relational challenges. The relationship *is* essentially the plot. That’s not inherently bad, but I needed to know why this relationship was something I should want.
The pace picks up a bit halfway through, and it was a pretty easy read. I am interested to read more in the series but it really needs an antagonist and some external conflict.
There’s some good polyamorous spice that is definitely open door. It does deal with the past death of a sibling.
All up, there’s some strong positives to build on. It is a promising debut, and I look forward to seeing where the series goes.

There are weak and strong points to this debut. This writer shows promise with her prose, which makes me feel confident her story telling will evolve and grow over time.
The premise is interesting, three characters who have never met suddenly bound in marriage by an ancient calling. The idea of this is ripe with complexity that could have been further explored. I like fast paced storytelling, but I really wish the author had drawn out the dynamic development between these three characters. It would have lent more credibility to the spicy scenes.
Interested to see where the author goes from here with it.

Absolutely loved this book! And If you like spicy books with an incredible fantasy storyline that will hook you and have you waiting for the sequel, then this is it!
The characters of Vonetta, Wren, and Chiron were a breath of fresh air with how relationships are usually portrayed in romance books. This book isn't full of issues and problems that the main characters have to deal with constantly, instead it focuses on real communication with life hurdles, and internal struggles that most people can identify with. It was a cozy read (except the spicy parts 😏🥵) with realistic stakes in a completely realized fantasy setting.
I can not WAIT until her next book is released 🙌🏼
