This book has it all: town lore, found journals, ghost guidance, gold shamrock coins and murder.
The author did a great job with this book! I love how she kept my interest throughout the story of searching for treasure, honoring family and discovering a murder.
I felt like I was right there with the O'Reillys throughout their journey of discovery. I especially love how Lila Evermore gently guides everyone to the truth with the help of Luna Bloom.
I am looking forward to the next adventure with Lila Evermore and Luna Bloom!

Enjoyable story of family treasures, conflicts and reconciliation. The help of the resident ghost in solving a family secret adds a great touch. Cute St. Patrick’s references as well.

The small town of Hawthorne Corner, nestled cozily around it’s namesake lake, is a place so well written, that I can imagine myself becoming a frequent visitor; possibly even a resident of in my retirement years!
A wealth of history works its way through the town in all types of ways, while friends & neighbors gather together, whether at the local bakery, crafting classes, or a walk around the lake. As with all history, some discussions & opinions pine to honor only truths while others buy into rumors.
With an upcoming celebration slated to honor previous resident Seamus O’Reilly, History Professor Denis O’Reilly’s father, the past & present are about to collide. Denis & his daughter Bridget (along with their curious pup Darby, a handsome Irish Setter) have received an invitation to attend the March weekend event with a complimentary stay at the famous Victorian Evermore Airbnb.
This Hawthorne Corner series is a fun one! Author Sharon Michaels does an excellent job of world building, as well as writing cozy mysteries you won’t want to miss the chance at solving!
My favorite quote: The ghost of Lila Evermore stood there, invisible to everyone but Darby. She leaned down toward the loyal canine, whispering words only he could hear. “You must protect your humans, Darby,” she murmured softly. “Lead them to the Blooms & Brews Tea Room. There, Luna Bloom has a message for them.”

February 25, 2026I'm currently working on Book 3 Shamrock Secrets in the Hawthorne Corner series. It's fun writing about a father and daughter amateur sleuths.

Of course there is a helpful pet, Darby the Irish Setter, who saves the day.

I love this book by Ms. Michaels. It is a story about Denis and Bridget who receive invitations to come to Hawthorne Corner to honor Denis' father Seamus during the March Festival. Denis and Bridget had yet taken taken care of Seamus' affairs. Join Denis and Bridget along with Denis' dog, Darby, as they find an adventure in look uncovering a long held mystery of lost coins that has been circulating around Hawthorne Corner for years.

Let's Dance a Jig!
A wonderful continuation of the Evermore series highlighting Lila, our favorite ghost! An Irish family, the O'Reilly's bring us on a treasure hunt for golden doubloons (perhaps (That's part of the mystery)). I enjoyed that two strong women brought the storyline together to solve the mystery. Darby, the Irish Setter, is my favorite character . Highly Recommended.
