This is probably the easiest to understand Theology book I’ve ever read. A.W. Foster really hit it out of the park in writing this book. The 23 chapters are short, but packed with Theological truth. His arrangement of these 23 chapters comes through 9 subject sections. Breaking down the subjects into easy-to-comprehend nuggets of truth. He doesn’t overly use theological terms, but when he does, he explains them in an understandable way.
I have an issue with a part of Chapter 9. In it, the author says that we are totally unable to choose God on our own. However, God made Himself known through general revelation. If people are able to reject the truth they see in nature about God, then surely it goes to say that some others are able to accept the truth of God. People are known at times to get ‘wake-up calls’ where they recognize their fallenness and call out to God for help.
Other than that, I had no other problem with this book. Every Christian should read books like this and especially THIS book. I look forward to reading his other books.
