What happens when the Bad Guys win?

Reality has been reshaped in the image of a monster older — and more powerful — than anything Erik Ashendale has ever faced. Vampires and monsters no longer hide in the shadows. They rule from thrones built on human suffering.

We’re not just in danger.

We’re food.

In this brutal new order, Erik is barely surviving the uneasy peace between predator and prey when he’s handed an impossible solve a murder in the heart of vampire territory.

A crime that shouldn’t exist.

The deeper Erik digs, the less things make sense. Alliances fracture. Truth twists. Two realities grind against each other — and something far worse than monsters is stirring beneath the surface.

What begins as an investigation becomes the final battle for existence itself.

This is the endgame.

To save what’s left of humanity, Erik will have to sacrifice everything — his power, his hope, maybe even his soul.

He may be the chosen one.

But some victories cost more than he’s willing to pay.

Endgame - The Warlock Legacy Book 13: The Apocalyptic Series Conclusion, my sixteenth read from author Ryan Attard an author I've been reading since 2016. With every book he wrote, he polished his craft & got better & better and the reader's expectations grew as well! This book does not disappoint! Another great Ryan Attard read as he approaches the pinnacle of wizard fiction. This book has everything, maybe the best Legacy book to date ( I keep saying that)! I very much enjoyed this book. It was a cannot put down story adding to the storylines from his first books. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll definitely be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

It’s always tough to close out a long standing series, how do you appease fans while still ensuring the story ends where you want it to. There is a checklist, fan service and prior characters balanced against getting to the conclusion. To some extent the book reads as an epilogue, it brings back a ton of characters to say goodbye. It’s a fulfilling story and I hope for further stories but Erik fights with all he has, Gil is brilliant and hilarious (in a droll sort of way), and Abi kicks ass. There are threads at the end for a future to the series, either spinoff or sequel & a few deaths that are soul crushing. I really enjoyed the book as well as the series as a whole, there’s alot of books with wizards (and a couple warlocks) so it is never easy to set oneself apart, to be appealing and original. Ryan knocks it out of park I can’t wait to read what he writes next.

The last book in this series, it provides plenty of plot twists and turns as well as plenty of snark. For fans who read the previous books, you will see many of the old characters, even some who had died, show back up. Erik needs to find his sister, who has disappeared. The Nephalam is rising. Elves have been corrupted by contagion. The vampires are plotting. And Erik wants to marry his fiancé Abi. That’s only part of the chaos surrounding him. The ending provides closure on so many of the threads from previous books and from some of those who survive, at least the hope of a HEA.
I received a pdf version of the book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

blockbuster blow out for Erik and the Crew

This book delivers action and more action. New characters along with fan favorites. It pulls from every step Erik has taken along the way. I was pulled in immediately because it kept me guessing what would happen next.

No spoilers: so I will just say Read It, You Won’t Be Disappointed
