Ok. Let me start by saying that this one has a LOT of sex and a LOT of F-bombs.
I mean I am no prude, and I thought of DNF’ing because of the absurd amount in each chapter…

But, if you are ok with that and can get past it… please take a look at this one!

Dominique is a self-assured woman who knows her stuff, and is confident in her own body… Now.
A few years ago her ex husband had her in a heap of a mess. She was distraught. She was in pain. And she vowed to never get involved again!

Ethan is also self-assured, handsome and in a good place… now. His ex-wife also had his head spinning… with her plans, and demands and all..

Dominique and Ethan kind of know each other. But, he is now smitten with her! And she wants nothing to do with him… unless it’s a one night stand.

And that’s where the problems begin…

It’s sweet. It’s sultry. It’s sad. It’s steamy. It’s charming. It’s funny. And there are a lot of sex scenes and swearing throughout! But there’s also kindness and caring and family and love…

Something Like Paradise by D.A. Young is a sweet, steamy, spicy, slow burn enjoyment that hooked me from the very first chapter. It’s funny, charming and full of the kind of family dynamics both blood and chosen that make a story feel relatable. The audio is fantastic. A.M. Elizabeth Kay and Gabriel Spires bring these characters to life with personality, warmth and emotional timing. Their narration adds an extra layer of connection that makes the story even more enjoyable. The romance builds beautifully, the humour catches just right and the characters feel real. A great multicultural story and a great listen. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author. 4 ½ stars

Forever Paradise

This mature love story takes you on Ethan and Dominique's journey. Their attraction is powerful and undeniable. A funny, charming story with meddling friends that have opinions about their relationship. Dominique recently divorced is not looking for permanency. Kismet has another plan for Dominique. Ethan is patient and he will not be deterred. With help from matchmaking friends, they are whisked away to a romantic, passionate getaway..... The wooing begins. The narrative elements, sibling shenanigans, opinionated families, adorable babies, kids, teens and distinct, varied characters add to the enjoyment of Ethan and Dominique's adventure. Their paradise awaits with all the fun, laughter and emotions drawing you into their scenario.

Diva x Ethan

This was a slow paced, slow burn, mature romance. For those who haven't read the Ties That Bind series, it may read even slower, but for those who are familiar with the series that first introduced Dominique and Ethan, you'll be delighted to catch up with Ransom and Billy and the gang.

Ethan's and Dominique's love story is long overdue but worth the wait. Ethan was intense and persistent in his pursuit of Dominique, who has sworn off relationships after a divorce, but I was glad when she finally gave in to her feelings and gave Ethan a chance because the story immediately heated up and got super spicy! 🥵🥵🥵 Overall, I enjoyed the characters and their story and was happy they finally got their happily ever after.

True love story

Ethan was after his love interest Dominique and he didn't give up.. I would have liked to have read more w II th encounters with the ex especially him seeing her happy with Ethan and Ethan defending het. Dominique got what she was looking for. I recommend you read the book, it shows multicultural friends and family and true love.

A slow burn………

This story started slow and I thought I would not be able to finish it, BUT I’m glad I did! I liked Dominique and Night-Lark from the TTTB series and am glad they got their HEA!

Lovely story

I had no idea this spinoff existed, so glad I found it. I didn't get the animosity between Billy and Ethan and felt I had missed something I was still able not get into the book and enjoy it very much.

Oh man, I absolutely love this! So good! It definitely has a slow start but when it gets going it gets going. Just wow. The narration is fantastic especially at the special moments which is fairly unique. Definitely recommend. Made me flutter all over which is unheard of. Thankyou for this.
