This is the story of Hannah and Simon. This wasn’t my favorite book by this author, but I still found it very good. Simon’s wife has passed away and he is left alone to raise his five year old daughter. But Simon has questions. He had them during his marriage, but rather than face reality, he turned a blind eye. But now he no longer feels he can do that and so he has a DNA test ran on his little girl. And the unthinkable happens… she is not his real daughter. And he knows the man whose DNA she actually carries.
Enter Hannah. When Hannah is asked to pick up her friends children from school, she spots a little girl sitting alone and it appears she needs help so she walks over to help her and the child’s eyes are notable. So notable, she knows immediately this is brothers child.
Because Simon is a well known businessman, the story breaks that his deceased wife has had an affair and that the testing shows his daughter is not his DNA child. Hannah’s mom and dad immediately hire an attorney to seek custody of the little girl, but Hannah knows what kind of childhood she and her brother had and she doesn’t want the same for this little girl. Her solution… propose marriage to Simon. She does and he accepts because of fears that Hannah’s parents might be able to wrest custody of his child from him.
I’m not going into any further detail. This was a good book. As all of Cassidy’s books so far, it’s well planned out and has a somewhat unique plot…. Which if you read much lately you know that many authors use the same trite plots over and over again. Thankfully, this author tries to spin something new. The writing was great as always. There wasn’t a huge amount of romance in this book because it was well after 50% before the two got together, and the ending felt a bit rushed. I’ll still give it 4.5🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a great series. This one, about a very unhappy Hannah finding out the little girl whose mother cheated with her dead brother, is actually the child of her brother. Not the child of the cuckolded husband. She sees her brother in the child’s eyes.
When Hannah’s parents find out (guess they paid for a leak at the DNA lab), they prepare a suit to gain custody of the child.
Because they ruined her brother, and have no love to give anyone, Hannah balks and joins forces with Simon to retain his custody.
It’s heart wrenching and heartwarming, just as book 1.
Not quite as good as book 1, at least to me, but very worth the read.

What would you do for the people you love?
Hannah would marry a complete stranger to protect her niece Suzy from her own parents. This is a journey to learn how to trust and build a chosen family.
I enjoyed this one more than the first book. The characters are more engaging. I don’t think the last HEA epilogue twist was necessary. I wish there had been more of a final confrontation between Hannah and her parents.
This is a super fast read with a solid plot. It’s around 200 pages so it isn’t as fleshed out as other stories. If that doesn’t bother you and you want a fun found family, will they/won’t they romance, this would be a good choice.

This was another favorite book for me. Maybe not, as much as the first book— but I loved it all the same. Hannah and Simon don’t come together at first out of love for each other. But end up loving each other while the love of Simon’s Daughter/Hannah’s Niece connects them
while trying to protect her from the devastating affects of being taken by biological grandparents doing it for legacy rather than the love of the child.
Hannah and Simon develop their love of each other over time & also help each other to heal along the way.

Heartwarming
When Hannah realised that her brother had had a child with a married women and had killed himself after his lover died, she needed , wanted to be in that child's life. Simon was now in a battle against Hannah's parents who were seeking custody for their grandchild. Hannah hearing about this decided that she would go directly to Simon and ask him to marry her to protect, Suzy, his daughter, therefore to go against her parents custody order.

Hannah and Simon
This storyline was so easy to read! I was caught up in the emotional situation that each person was dealing with. I had my fingers crossed that the would be in Simon's favor. Had me wondering since the Pierce family had such a prestigious connection in so many levels! What a great surprise ending! No spoilers here! Read and enjoy Simon and Hannah's story!!!😊

I liked this plot line!
I hated that the heroine lost her brother and that the hero lost his wife… but this is a good HEA for their second chapters. There’s a sweet little girl who is the apple of both their eyes.

slowly but surely
This was so cute…. So happy I continued to read this series. I’m so glad that Hannah finally found her Prince Charming. A man that loved her for her and didn’t care if she could have a baby or not cuz she was enough for him

Good series predictable but good.
I have to admit that I stopped reading this book halfway through. I. At a time where I need a “Happy ever after “ good story to read. This series was it. Now I’ve got to get to reading about Jack and Pauline!

I swear I read this book before. Was this republished? This book trends below 3 stars for me but overall its fine. I appreciate the length of the book because any more pages and I would have been skimming. This book is superficial at best. The backstory given for either Hannah or Simon is minimal. There is so much more we could explore with their backstories but nope.
Easy read but no depth.

Better than average. I really enjoyed the strength and courage of the female lead. I'm glad the misunderstanding was short lived. I enjoyed the HEA.

Throughly enjoyed Hannah and Simon’s book
A story about fighting for what is right
My delay in the read was due to other responsibilities and nothing to do with the actual book
