Except the more Noah gets to know Summer, the more his obsession grows. He wants to know everything about her, and based on the books on her shelf and her own drunken confession, she’s not against a little light stalking.

Unfortunately, from unsuccessfully hiding behind menus to mistakenly leaving his return address on gifts to getting caught peering through her window, Noah isn’t exactly nailing this whole stalking thing. And his messiness has obviously attracted the attention of the wrong person because things for Noah go very, very badly. As in, find-yourself-locked-in-the-trunk-of-a-car bad.

So maybe stalking isn’t quite as easy as he had hoped.

The way Summer and Noah met was hilarious, especially when he woke up to see summer with a knife.

but when she saw him asleep on her couch!!!
A hard jawline relaxed in sleep, pouty lips parted slightly, nostrils on a strong, aquiline nose that flared with every faint snore, tousled brown hair that looks soft enough to burrow in.

I can't blame her for thinking and feeling that way :)

Her survival instincts weren't kicking at all when it came to the man sleeping on her couch!!!!


The banter and interaction with them is hilarious 😂

Noah cracks me up he is so captivated by summer even if she looks like a mess, and he remembers her confession to what she truly wants .

This is insane. What kind of psycho steals a woman’s spare key and makes a copy so he can access her home without her knowledge?

His family is sweet and honest. The bond between them is cute. Especially when aries picks on vee (Noah's sister)



Ever since he learned of summer fantasies, she is all he thinks about and fulfilling her desires the way he has become obsessed with her wanting to know everything about her.

When summer started, asking details and information about him, so just in case she asked questions as his fake girlfriend, there was me smiling and cracking up .


The way Noah eyes light up when she mentions being an artist, and that just made me love Noah even more.


Christine, who is Noah's mom , is so sweet. I absolutely love his parents.

Omg im screaming when briar, Mack & S.T. Nicholson was mentioned in the book .

You can seriously relate to summer when comes her dark fantasies and loving our smut books especially dark ones or taboo , wanting to try spicy scenes in real life and once Noah knew a taste of those fantasies he couldn't get enough and just wanted know more about her and what else she desired he would do anything to make those happen for summer.

I can't forget her hedgehog prick omg so adorable, and what's even better, Noah is great with animals. he is such an animal lover. Noah just gets better 💓.

But I absolutely loved Victoria (vee) she hates being called vee which Noah and everyone else love to call her she is amazing sister and just protective and also badass woman too I have a feeling aries might like her they intrigued me when they would interact with eachother.

Chapter 13 was hilarious and hazel she said what we were all thinking. SUMMER GET YOUR MAN NOAH!!!
It was hilarious him trying to be seductive it was pretty easy to figure out it was Noah.


When Noah said this , “Summer, don’t tell me you already forgot about shooting me in the ass.” ] 🤣🤣

Lmao, Victoria, and aries have me dead  they  didn't realize Noah and Summer have  stalker kink . Killian and aries plus Victoria, the chaos they stir up together is so much fun.

Alright friends, did you like Lights Out? Great, you're a fan of a skilled stalker. You probably like humor and the hijinks that the two of them got into. Well, definitely give this one a read. Noah is like Josh, but not as competent in the ways of stalking. However, he puts all his heart into it. He tries so hard to be a good stalker - even to go as far as to read her dark stalker romance novels to read up on skills required to be a successful stalker. Apparently, we readers have been growing our skillsets in the ways of the darkside. However fun it is in the books, I don't think I'd enjoy a sprint through the wilderness... something I think I would have in common with Noah and his clumsy jaunt through the woods.

We meet our main characters in their own hijinks. He's drunk and passed out on her couch, she's ogling him - in both fear and arousal - considering how to get rid of the massive intruder who destroyed her bathroom. What a sweet meet-cute. After this misunderstanding with a massive 8 to 10 inch knife - who's to know - Summer reveals her deep dark secrets to the black out drunk himbo on her couch... Surely, he'll forget, right?

Hence the title - Sweet Obsession. She speaks her wishes into the ether and the ether provided. Our sweetly obsessed, amateur stalker, Noah. This sweet guy hangs out with animals all day and loves her spiky friend 'Pr!ck', the hedgehog. He practices consent in his stalking and she eats that stuff up. His family and friends are great - Vee takes a bit to like, but you can't always avoid the shovel (read it, you'll understand). We have so many hilarious scenes. Someone gets stuck, so obviously, it's a 'help I'm stuck!' situation from all the step-sibling adult stories. This story had me giggling non-stop and honestly it was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't dark - even though it tried so hard to be (Noah has a heart of gold).

Anyway, you need to read this book. Easily, it will be one of my favorites this year. I am so glad I got this advanced copy and have already recommended it hard to some of my friends. We get to see our old friends from the Saint & Sinner duet and Harmony sets up 1 or 2 more stories in this series. I really hope we get two more. The humor was great and I can't wait to live in this world for a few more books. This is a must read. Get at it.

For being Harmony West’s first dark rom-com, she absolutely knocked it out of the park. I’m not exaggerating when I say there were multiple scenes where I found myself literally laughing out loud.

Noah is a pet sitter who ends up in a hilariously awkward situation that leads him straight to Summer—who just so happens to be completely obsessed with dark romance. When she admits some of her darker fantasies, Noah, being the ultimate good boy, decides he’s going to give her exactly what she wants.

The only problem? He’s basically a golden retriever in human form and has absolutely no idea how to actually pull off the dark, broody, morally gray fantasy she’s into.

Watching him try is half the fun.

Typically in Harmony West’s books, the “villain” of the story is actually the male lead himself—the dangerous, morally questionable man you probably shouldn’t fall for… but absolutely do anyway. There’s usually blood, chaos, and at least a little bit of killing involved.

But not this time.

There’s no villain here. No blood. No killing. Just a golden-retriever pet sitter doing his absolute best to become someone’s dark fantasy… and somehow still being perfect even when he completely fumbles it.

And honestly? Summer is already falling for him long before he figures out how to be her villain.

The chemistry between them is amazing. The banter is hilarious, the love story is sweet, and the tension between them keeps things fun the entire time.

If you’re used to Harmony West’s usual spice level (normally around a 4), this one is definitely lighter—probably closer to a 1.5–2. But it honestly works perfectly for this story.

This book is funny, sweet, chaotic, and ridiculously entertaining. A perfect dark rom-com.

And now I really need more. I’m seriously hoping she continues with Ares and Victoria’s story… and Killian and Hazel’s too.

Imagine Josh from Lights Out. Now imagine he has no fancy tech skills or his trauma. I think that is Noah. When he meets Summer after accidently intruding in her apartment, what better way to get her attention than by stalking her. Or at least trying to. 

This is a funny, cute Romcom whereby Noah hires Summer to be his fake girlfriend in the hopes of convincing his family he is over his ex. However he has already learned that there is more to Summer than meets the eye and he wants her even if he has to stalk her to get it. But turns out that is harder and more painful than it seems. 

Both Noah and Summer are loveable from the beginning, I really enjoyed their story with many laugh out loud moments as well as some tense and sad ones. I thought I knew how the story would play out at times but in a good way I was wrong. (Cannot explain without spoilers). Also you can’t go wrong when you have cute animals included, one word Prick.. 

The spice is spicy and not repetitive at all and lots of fun had there too as he attempts to get her attention by giving her what she wants. Like everything in the book it is kind of how I imagine these things would realistically go. 

I loved the side characters both MCs friends and family were great and added something, I hope with get more stories with them in the future, I can think of two matches I would like to see. 

Ps: I did consider whether appropriate to I DNF at the MMCs choice of drink haha.

This book was actually so adorable, it really surprised me. Sweet Obsession is a romantic dark comedy that gives you a little taste of everything from a man that is 100% devoted.
If you are someone that is wanting to get into dark romance I think this novel would be a good start, as it has the dark elements of a dark romance but tends to handle the darker themes in a light comedic way.

Sweet Obsession follows Summer and Noah after they have a strange encounter. That strange encounter...Summer comes home to find that someone has broken into her house (Noah) and is sleeping on her couch. Yup, that's their meet-cute, but not the one they start telling everyone.

Summer is for us girls that like to explore different things and are maybe into a little roleplay, but are to afraid to say anything. And Noah has exactly what the title says...a sweet obsession with the one and only Summer. He wants her. In everyway those words pertain. He wants her safe, and if that's what a little stalking will do, he's buying the mask just for the task.

This book was honestly such a blast and I had a great time getting to know all the side characters, especially Summer's best friend and Noah's whole family. This story had a really fun dynamic and made me laugh.

I will always read a Harmony book, and this one delivered all the cutesy humor that I needed. Noah and Summer made me giggle the entire book. Their meet cute was hilarious. "I’d be terrified of the intruder in my home if he weren’t asleep on my couch." After that, all bets were off. The Sweet Obsession started, and it was the sweetest. This book had some dark elements, but the humor involved made it so light-hearted. The fake arrangement to make Noah's parents think he was over his ex. Nothing fake about it. Noah is one of a kind, like a breath of fresh air for Summer. The stalking Noah did was hilarious and clumsy. I loved it. His love for animals like Edgar Allan Paw so cute. Summer literally could do no wrong in his eyes.The bullet necklace. Swoon. The accidental kidnapping. Hilarious. Summers artwork. Beautiful. And can't forget Prick the hedgehog main character energy. Harmony you don't miss. Dark romance rom com is where it's at.

Sweet Obsession is absolutely the cutest, quirkiest story! It starts with Noah drunkenly breaking into what he thinks is his friend’s apartment and passing out on the couch only to realize he’s in the wrong place entirely when Summer wakes him up with a knife and threatens him for intruding in her home, but instead of pressing charges, they end up chatting for a bit and she lets him go home when he promises to return in the morning to clean up the drunken damage.

Turns out Summer may have been a little intoxicated too, because she ends up admitting she has a fantasy about being stalked. Noah quickly develops a crush on her and decides to do his best to make all of her fantasies come true, even if it’s more difficult than he anticipates. (You’ll see why!)

This story is super cutesy, funny, and honestly a great reminder about believing in yourself, finding true love, and never settling. Younger me could’ve learned a lot from this story!

As always, Harmony West does it again! I read this in a single day! 4.5 stars

I finished Sweet Obsession in one sitting. Completely devoured it. Sweet Obsession was so much fun and I had a blast while reading it.
I had a huge grin on my face the entire time and I could not stop laughing at some parts. Seriously this was so damn cute. Summer and Noah are literally the perfect pair and I was rooting for them the entire time. The banter between, the amateur stalking, the damn meet cute!!!Noah is literally the cutest ever and definitely a golden retriever mmc.

I absolutely loved this story ! I started it late last night and absolutely devoured it today . The book is hilarious, I found my self laughing or chuckling throughout the whole book .

The MMC is the definition of a golden retriever, the amount of dedication he has for the FMC is wild . And his love for animals ? Just perfect ! He has so many funny moments and thoughts . I just adore him .

The FMC is just great , she also had quite a few funny moments , and just wants to do what she loves but is scared to accept help . I adored her right from the start .

It’s a slow burn , but the chemistry between them is perfect . The plot of the book is interesting enough to keep you engaged throughout the whole book .
I definitely recommend this book if you need a lighter read , or if you’re just starting out in the dark romance scene.

Omggggggg this book! I ate it uppppp!

First of all, I love the little appearance of Briar, Saint and Mack. I LOVE when characters from other books make appearances!

This book was honestly the best of so many tropes. Fake dating, stalking, kinks, hilarious rom com vibes, it was just perfection.
I loved how clumsy Noah was as a stalker 🤣 I actually cackled at so many of his fails because let’s face it, it’s REAL. This is how it would turn out for most of us!
I just loved Summer and Noah as a couple too.
It was actually a really cute hilarious light dark rom com. Amazing read and I can’t wait to add it to my bookshelf with Harmony West’s other books!

From page one I was hooked!! Summer and Noah was meant to be.
Their whole story was just a soppy love song and I am all for it!

This book has a guaranteed happy ending as I am sure there are thousands of book girlies that love it!

Let me tell you this book had me giggling! 🤭 to be honest I nearly cried as well but in the end it was all worth it.

Summer & Noah's meet-cute was super unique, I literally couldn't put this book down! I finished it in 24hrs!
This is a dark rom-com, but it's not very dark at all, other than some light (consensual) stalking but my dark meter may be off since I've only read dark romances or dark rom-coms for over two months 😅
the banter in this book is top-notch
hopefully we see Noah's friends & family in future books??

A spicy romcom where the mmc is a golden retriever that's terrible at stalking but a freak in the sheets (just like her), I'm in. This story hand me laughing so hard, its slightly darker than a standard romcom but I wouldn't call it dark romance at all.
