I really enjoyed this, I feel if you are trying to get into dark romance this is a fun place to start. It feels like a fluffy romance x dark romance in the best way.

Sweet Obsession was a good ol time!
Noah is everything you could want in a golden retriever stalker! Talk about dedication lol I can't say I've ever read a book with a "not great at stalking" stalker MMC but I'm here for it. Love a man down bad willing to do what it takes to get the girl. Summer is an independent woman who's survival instinct isn't the greatest, but it works in her favor 😅
This was fun, funny, sweet cute, and pulled at the heart strings. I've yet to read anything by Harmony West I haven't loved! I really hope there will be a follow up to this with Aries & Vee ❤️

This was cute. It was not a dark romance in my opinion. Maybe I’m just evil but no one even died so you can’t call it dark romance 😂

What a fantastic and wild ride
I loved this book. The turning to of common dark romance tropes into the silliness that would be reflected in reality was amazing. The characters are wonderful. They feel like real people who are trying their best without being overly stupid or frustrating. I really liked Noah. What a man. He wants to try what she wants but it is harder than he thought and doesn't let that hold him back. They were so cute together and I loved every minute of this. If I could give it more stars I would.

This book was a really fun ride. It felt like a funny, lighter version of a dark romance. Noah, the MMC, spends the whole book trying to be a stalker and completely failing at it, which led to so many genuine laugh out loud moments for me. He was easily the star of the show and carried a lot of the entertainment value.
Summer, the FMC, was definitely the weaker part of the story for me. Especially in the last 20%, where her decisions stopped making sense. The third act breakup felt really forced and honestly made her look ridiculous. That whole section dragged the story down and is probably what kept this from being a higher rated read for me.
I do think the author has potential because she creates fun stories with interesting characters, but the writing still needs work. There were details missing that felt important. Two male side characters are introduced and never physically described, even though it seems obvious they are being set up for future books. The MMC also wears a mask for part of the story, and the author never explains what it looks like. Some sentences were awkwardly phrased too, and I had to reread certain parts to figure out what was being said.
Overall, this was a fun and easy read that I enjoyed a lot. It is not one of the best books in the genre, but it had a lot of charm. With stronger editing and more fleshed out characters and details, it could have been much better. Still, I had a great time reading it.

This book was actually so adorable, it really surprised me. Sweet Obsession is a romantic dark comedy that gives you a little taste of everything from a man that is 100% devoted.
If you are someone that is wanting to get into dark romance I think this novel would be a good start, as it has the dark elements of a dark romance but tends to handle the darker themes in a light comedic way.
Sweet Obsession follows Summer and Noah after they have a strange encounter. That strange encounter...Summer comes home to find that someone has broken into her house (Noah) and is sleeping on her couch. Yup, that's their meet-cute, but not the one they start telling everyone.
Summer is for us girls that like to explore different things and are maybe into a little roleplay, but are to afraid to say anything. And Noah has exactly what the title says...a sweet obsession with the one and only Summer. He wants her. In everyway those words pertain. He wants her safe, and if that's what a little stalking will do, he's buying the mask just for the task.
This book was honestly such a blast and I had a great time getting to know all the side characters, especially Summer's best friend and Noah's whole family. This story had a really fun dynamic and made me laugh.

I really, really enjoyed this! It was so much fun and so....normal?
Noah is just the sweetest and is willing to try anything for Summer.
Summer has some serious kinks and let's one slip whilst she's drunk and Noah, being the giving man that he is, obliges.
I found this book to be normal because it wasn't like other stalker books where the stalker seems to be one step ahead. Noah was hilarious with his stalking. He was awful at it but really did try 😂
Making the thirst trap video had me weak and then chasing her through the woods and ending up hurt was just perfect 😂 in real life, running around the woods in the dark, would lead to injury and I'm so glad that was included because it was so funny.
Noah is just a normal guy who wanted to try all of summers fantasies in order to please her. Even if he did end up with a twisted ankle, shot in the ass and being knocked out with a shovel 😂🤦♀️ brilliant!
This book kept me laughing and kept me hooked. Plus it was appropriately spicy. It wasn't over the top and I loved that Noah was reading dark romance books for tips.

Sweet Obsession è una divertente rom-com con un protagonista golden retriever che si improvvisa stalker per assecondare le fantasie della donna che gli ha rubato il cuore al primo sguardo. Certo, non è semplice come nei libri, e forse i dark romance non sono esattamente dei manuali, ma il nostro Noah non si arrende, anche se rischia di rimetterci la pelle.
Il libro ci mette un po’ a ingranare, e mi aspettavo più comicità, soprattutto nella prima parte. È comunque una lettura piacevole e leggera, con la giusta dose dí spice, che invita a non farsi troppi problemi a esplorare i propri kink, anche perché prima o poi potremmo incontrare la persona giusta per renderli realtà. Al di là dei due protagonisti, anche i personaggi di contorno si fanno valere, nonostante il poco tempo in scena, e sono sicuramente un valore aggiunto. Uno spin off su Vee e Aries sicuramente non mi dispiacerebbe.

I finished Sweet Obsession in one sitting. Completely devoured it. Sweet Obsession was so much fun and I had a blast while reading it.
I had a huge grin on my face the entire time and I could not stop laughing at some parts. Seriously this was so damn cute. Summer and Noah are literally the perfect pair and I was rooting for them the entire time. The banter between, the amateur stalking, the damn meet cute!!!Noah is literally the cutest ever and definitely a golden retriever mmc.

Such a fun read!
This MMC tries so hard to be the "Dark Romance Boyfriend", for the FMC. The obsession is so adorable you can't help but root for him.😍
In Sweet Obsession, we get the best " Meet- Cute", and scenes that had me giggling through the whole book.
West does such a great job creating realistic fun characters. Really hoping she gives us book two with the other family members stories!
Great amount of spice too.🌶🌶🌶

I don't know to rate or review this book... It was good, I enjoyed it but somehow, at the same time I almost quit several times. The blurb and latest reviews sounded promising and I thought this book would be perfect for me, as I'm currently in my "stalker romance era".
But as much as I loved Noah, something didn't quite fit. He has such a golden retriever vibe written all over him which, for me, collided with the dark vibes the author wanted him to give off as well. For me that didn't really mix well.
I especially enjoyed the funnier parts of this book. However, the overall vibe didn't catch me and I think, even though the story and its characters have potential, it wasn't quite reached. I don't think I'll come back if this series continues

I am obsessed
I absolutely loved sweet Obsession! For someone who has not read Dark romance before this is a great introduction book. It also keeps the Rom com feels. I hope this is just the first book in a series because I see another couple I would love to see play out! I highly recommend reading if you’re looking for a highly devoted MMC willing to explore a FMC darker fantasies.

Sweet obsession
I loved this book, it was just what I needed:
A realistic man who trips while chasing his woman and who falls while leaning on the doorframe.
I mean, the man is a walking green flag, he makes sure that everything is consensual! and he loves animals, so that's double points
despite the consensual stalking, this was a light read for me and I really enjoyed it.
It might not fall in dark romance, I would say it falls in the lightish dark romance romcom.
I loved this book, it was just what I needed:

I loved it
This book was so much fun. I loved everything about it. Noah was an excellent man. Those two were perfect for each other. I just love a man that goes all in and is obsessed with his girl.
This book was so much fun. I loved everything about it. Noah was an excellent man. Those two were perfect for each other. I just love a man that goes all in and is obsessed with his girl.

I loved this book and if I hadn’t been so busy I’m sure I would’ve devoured it in a day. It was a great romcom with the perfect amount of consensual stalker smut included. And who doesn’t love a pet hedgehog named Prick.

What a book! I'd already read other works by this author, and this one is simply incredible. It's well-written, well-structured, and I laughed so much!
The two main characters are endearing, adorable, and clumsy. The situations they get themselves into are hilarious. The secondary characters are also engaging, and you want to know more about them and their shenanigans.
The hedgehog… What can I say about him? He's the perfect companion for all animal lovers. And he helping so many misunderstanding in the story!
I can't say more without spoiling the story, but let's just say it involves getting stuck under a bed (or a tree), and the author may have shot one of the characters in the butt. And kept the bullet on a chain 😂.
For a romantic comedy, it's one of my favorites, and I'll gladly reread it! I hope there will be an audio version; this book truly deserves it! 5 ✨!

Malheureusement, entre ses tentatives infructueuses de se cacher derrière des menus, ses erreurs d'adresse sur les cadeaux et le fait de se faire surprendre à l'espionner par la fenêtre, Noah ne maîtrise pas vraiment l'art du harcèlement. Et sa maladresse a visiblement attiré l'attention de la mauvaise personne, car la situation dégénère très, très mal. Au point de se retrouver enfermé dans le coffre d'une voiture.

Quel livre ! J'avais déjà lu d'autres œuvres de cet auteur et celui-ci atteint un niveau tout simplement incroyable. C'est bien écrit, bien construit et j'ai tellement ri !
Les deux personnages principaux sont attachants, adorables et maladroits. Les situations dans lesquelles ils se mettent sont hilarantes. Les personnages secondaires sont également attachants et on a envie d'en savoir plus sur eux et leurs manigances.
Le hérisson… Que dire de lui ? C'est le compagnon idéal pour tous les amoureux des animaux. Et il aide tellement de blagues dans l'histoire !
Je ne peux pas en dire plus pour ne pas vous gâcher l'histoire, mais sachez qu'il est question de se retrouver coincé sous un lit (ou un arbre) et que l'auteur a peut-être tiré dans les fesses d'un des personnages. Et gardé la balle au bout d'une chaîne 😂.
Pour une comédie romantique, c'est un de mes lecture préférée et je la relirai avec plaisir ! J'espère qu'il y aura une version audio, ce livre le mérite vraiment ! 5 ✨ !

but when she saw him asleep on her couch!!!
A hard jawline relaxed in sleep, pouty lips parted slightly, nostrils on a strong, aquiline nose that flared with every faint snore, tousled brown hair that looks soft enough to burrow in.
I can't blame her for thinking and feeling that way :)

You can seriously relate to summer when comes her dark fantasies and loving our smut books especially dark ones or taboo , wanting to try spicy scenes in real life and once Noah knew a taste of those fantasies he couldn't get enough and just wanted know more about her and what else she desired he would do anything to make those happen for summer.
I can't forget her hedgehog prick omg so adorable, and what's even better, Noah is great with animals. he is such an animal lover. Noah just gets better 💓.
But I absolutely loved Victoria (vee) she hates being called vee which Noah and everyone else love to call her she is amazing sister and just protective and also badass woman too I have a feeling aries might like her they intrigued me when they would interact with eachother.
Chapter 13 was hilarious and hazel she said what we were all thinking. SUMMER GET YOUR MAN NOAH!!!

Alright friends, did you like Lights Out? Great, you're a fan of a skilled stalker. You probably like humor and the hijinks that the two of them got into. Well, definitely give this one a read. Noah is like Josh, but not as competent in the ways of stalking. However, he puts all his heart into it. He tries so hard to be a good stalker - even to go as far as to read her dark stalker romance novels to read up on skills required to be a successful stalker. Apparently, we readers have been growing our skillsets in the ways of the darkside. However fun it is in the books, I don't think I'd enjoy a sprint through the wilderness... something I think I would have in common with Noah and his clumsy jaunt through the woods.
We meet our main characters in their own hijinks. He's drunk and passed out on her couch, she's ogling him - in both fear and arousal - considering how to get rid of the massive intruder who destroyed her bathroom. What a sweet meet-cute. After this misunderstanding with a massive 8 to 10 inch knife - who's to know - Summer reveals her deep dark secrets to the black out drunk himbo on her couch... Surely, he'll forget, right?
Hence the title - Sweet Obsession. She speaks her wishes into the ether and the ether provided. Our sweetly obsessed, amateur stalker, Noah. This sweet guy hangs out with animals all day and loves her spiky friend 'Pr!ck', the hedgehog. He practices consent in his stalking and she eats that stuff up. His family and friends are great - Vee takes a bit to like, but you can't always avoid the shovel (read it, you'll understand). We have so many hilarious scenes. Someone gets stuck, so obviously, it's a 'help I'm stuck!' situation from all the step-sibling adult stories. This story had me giggling non-stop and honestly it was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't dark - even though it tried so hard to be (Noah has a heart of gold).
Anyway, you need to read this book. Easily, it will be one of my favorites this year. I am so glad I got this advanced copy and have already recommended it hard to some of my friends. We get to see our old friends from the Saint & Sinner duet and Harmony sets up 1 or 2 more stories in this series. I really hope we get two more. The humor was great and I can't wait to live in this world for a few more books. This is a must read. Get at it.

Babe wake up a new Harmony West book just dropped!
It’s tough to read about other people living your dream, but if you can’t live it then at least it’s a smart, witty, interesting FMC getting to experience it. I love reading Harmony West books, so I intentionally went completely blind into this book and just rode the wave. This manifested as me reading Sweet Obsession in one day, absolutely devouring it, unhinging like a snake and swallowing the book whole.
There are aspects of fake dating, MMC hiring the FMC, unbreakable rules to be followed, and the trope I never knew I needed - MMC Noah studies the playbook of FMC Summer’s dark romance bookshelf and becomes her book boyfriend. And Noah is smart, yet he makes the dumbest, most perfect boy mistakes ever. Because even if your fantasy is a sexy stalker, it’s a red flag if he’s good at it right away.
One of my favorite elements is how Noah thinks he’s being sneaky and is concerned because Summer should be more aware. Ofc she’s clocked him sketching around - he’s making adorable boy mistakes! Love an FMC making the conscious choice to play along consensually vs a helpless heroine.
I do wish we could’ve met crazy ex girlfriend Naomi for a scene after talking about her so much. But honestly, we got fed with all the primal scenes and hilariously perfect stalking. I absolutely loved the sly crossover with Briar and ST Nicholson, and while there’s no need to read other HW books to follow this one, you very much should.

I completely adored this book! It is absolutely hilarious and sweet from the get go. I literally did not stop smiling through most of this book.
Noah’s a sweet himbo that drunkenly breaks into her apartment. Summer is a beautiful, kind girlfriend-for-hire who doesn’t call the cops on her surprise guest, but instead drunkenly admits to fantasizing about being stalked. When Noah decides to take it upon himself to fulfill these fantasies, hilarity ensues.
“Not sure how other stalkers do this without getting hospitalized for a heart attack. If Summer thinks being stalked is scary, she should try being a stalker. I’ve never experienced more fear in my life.”
Noahs’s antics are so funny. He tries so hard to be Summer’s perfect stalker, her perfect fantasy, but he’s not exactly great at being stealthy (nor is he very coordinated in general). He understands and accepts her more than anyone else in her life. Summer has come clean about her desires to other partners in the past, only to be rejected. She’s hesitant to put herself out there in a real way.
“I’m done offering my heart to the universe for it to only return to me broken.”
Noah not only accepts her fantasies, but does everything in his power to make them come to fruition. It’s as hot as it is sweet, and you can’t help but love Noah from the start.
“She’s never smiled at me like this before. No one has. Whatever I need to do to keep her looking at me like this, I’ll happily do it every day for the rest of my life.”
The supporting cast was wonderful, and I want to know all about Aries and Vee, who I hope get their own book. Summer’s best friend Hazel is also a gem:
“She scowls at me. “Don’t make me catch a flight to Maine just to slap you. Give yourself two smacks right now, each cheek, while I yell at you.” “
I also love the little glimpse we got of Briar and Saint! (AKA a “real” stalker/ stalkee situation) (but she did like the stalking in the end, so not too different lol)
I genuinely could not put this book down. It was so entertaining! It was silly and sexy and so unexpectedly sweet.
“I met her, and that’s made every day that’s come before worth it.”
