Alright seems i have caught up to the light novels. Im a bit happy about it because well im caught up so i should know everything about the story but its also a bit sad as now ill have to wait lots and lots of time for the next volumes. I really enjoyed it so im looking foward to it. It was so fun i sometimes easily read one and a half volume a day. Well so what happened in this volume and what do i think about it? well this volume was packet with plot developements and it was really fun. Ayanokoji transfering to class c isnt small. im really curious how he will lead the class and how will their alliance with ichinose work. I also want to know how Ayanokojis relationship with Ichinose will evolve because its kinda confusing now. Like they slept together but its not like their dating and it doesnt look like they will date anytime soon.
I also want to see how Horikita will lead her class. Ayanokoji leaving was a huge blow not just to her but to everyone in class A. And horikita realized that.. without ayanokoji.. she is weak. She said so herself. I want to see her grow and see the potential Ayanokoji sees in her.
That also applies to ryueen. His attack on class C.. or more namely Ayanokoji wasnt very thought out and it failed. Ayanokoji also sees potential in ryueen. So i hope he can demonstrate it. And how will they try to defeat Ayanokoji?
Sakayangi told ryueen that she will create a weakness in Ayanokoji for him when leaving the school. Im super curious about what the weakness is but it looks like we have leads. Towards the end of the book in the short stories we saw Shiraishi being obsessed with Ayanokojis voice and perhaps ayanokoji himself and she said to herself line for line (in the translation i have)
"Sakayanagi san. Please leave the rest to me"
So what could that mean? Perhaps her liking ayanokoji has something to do with it but i cant imagine where it could go. Even if she tries something on ayanokoji he will see it.
Sakayanagi said she can create the weakness "because his mind is so brilliant" so what could that mean? I guess well have to see but ill definitely think about it a bit more. Maybe ill see something.
Anyway we also saw Nanase with 2 phones. One personal one and one dedicated to calling with Tsukishiro. So i guess she really is a bit with tsukishiro still. But whats her goal and why is she talking to tsukishiro? is it really just monitoring him? I kinda trusted nanase but then red flags showed up and now this. Maybe she isnt bad, but im not too sure about trustworthy.
On a fun note its really unusual Ibuki kinda getting liking spending time in Horikitas room and getting closer to her and maybe kushida. I guess it might not be impossible for people who dont like each other to like each other under specific circumstances and time spend together.

Ah shit, here we go again...

This one definitely felt like a setup book. I understand the class transfer situation needed time to be addressed, but it felt like that dominated the majority of this book. Interested to see where things go once the ball really gets moving

The third year has started, Ajanokouji jusst transferred into class C, substituting sakayanagi as class leader. We immediatly go into conflict, with class C, with his former Class, now Class A, with Horikita, with Kei, it iss truly dynamic. We also immediatly get a special exam and interactions of characters who we have not seen interact before.
all in all this book keeps a good pace and iss absolute cinema.

★★★½

If Horikita doesn’t get a grip right this instant, god help me. Also, Ayanokoji’s poker face must be crazy effective because it’s astonishing how many characters genuinely cannot get a grasp of him as a person. Ryuuen, Horikita, his former classmates. Not Morishita though, that’s my goat.
