I want to give it a 3.5 but of course I can’t do that on Goodreads! This is a good book the build up on Tank’s life after prison is interesting. I needed more but I’m guessing more will be in book 2! He gets out and his woman is looking bad. She let herself go and Pooh, the man that set Tank up is the one who took her down that lane. Now Tank is helping Mercedes get her life back and in return she is helping Tank get his life back.
Then there is Detective Celeste who what’s to take Pooh down but he has his money tied up in the system with crooked authority who is making it hard for him to touched. Now she is suspended because of him and the only place she can turned to is Tank! The man she put behind bars 5 years ago knowing he was innocent! She was working a case on a young lady she found hurt that fit a series of women who are missing. Tank is helping her shelter her. However, Tank and Celeste has been fucking and Mercedes is pissed because she wants her man and wants him to want her. Mercedes made that know and Celeste invited her in the bed and ya know what happened! Oh and Celeste has a girlfriend named Yo Yo that she has been neglecting! But Yo-yo turns out to be the intruder outside Tanks’s house when it was shot yo and now she is dead! Now what is she out there!? Now on to book 2.
