Inevitable Impact is a sweeping fantasy space opera of clashing leaders, fractured loyalties, and a desperate fight for survival across worlds. When the mystic Chiku foresees the destruction of her homeworld, Xilinx, the countdown begins. A massive asteroid—Gylex—is hurtling toward the planet, forcing its people to confront a grim flee to one of the nearby habitable worlds… or face annihilation. But each potential refuge carries its own peril. Bagok is a frigid, unwelcoming swamp planet. Helot is a desolate mining world. Lucero, though most like Xilinx, is diseased and overcrowded, with little time left before collapse. Relocating there would require Xilinx’s leaders to surrender their sovereignty. Sovereign Nalani Farah is determined to save her people—even if it means bargaining with Lucero’s most powerful ruler, Septimus Frostlight. Yet her sister-in-law, Duchess Sylvie Starling, has ambitions of her own and will protect her influence at any cost. As politics, ambition, and survival collide, the choices of a powerful few will ripple across the stars, shaping the fate of every world in their universe.

I received a beta version of this book from the author for my honest review and input. I'll admit I'm a fan and have read the majority of her catalog.
Inevitable Impact is the story of multiple kingdoms on multiple planets and how they interact with each other. Part sci-fi, part political thriller, part royal court intrigue, and part epic fantasy with well-developed characters and a story that will keep you coming back for more. The large cast will keep you guessing throughout the story. I hope this becomes more than just a standalone book.
This is ambitious. There is so much going on here with multiple plots, multiple characters, multiple cultures, multiple planets. I told the author I needed a scorecard/dry erase board to keep track of who’s who, what’s what, where’s where…and I’m impressed with the world she built. There are twists and turns, complications, plot themes that will have you craving for justice, some didn’t-see-that-coming surprises. I really appreciate the author asking me to be a beta reader - that’s even better than an “advance review copy”!
What a wonderful story. 503 pages of incredible entertainment. I've read quite a few books now by Michelle E Lowe and I've certainly enjoyed each one of them. I love a book that takes me to many different planets with a group of great characters. I was certainly pulled into this story. The author has that amazing ability to pull you into the book, like you are along for the ride. Well worth the 5/5 Star Rating.
This book has you on the edge of your seat the entire time no brakes, full go, non stop and by then end you don’t know who you really want to win your rooting for everyone to just set aside their differences and work together- screaming it in fact. I’ll let you figure out how that goes but this books is a good way to spend several hours.
This is a race against an extinction event seen through the eyes of multiple characters across a solar system steeped in intrigue. It's keeps you guessing till the end. A great read.
