Ninety Tiny Windows

Step through the smallest openings… and discover entire worlds.

Ninety Tiny Windows is a captivating collection of flash and micro fiction that invites you to pause, peer closer, and see the extraordinary hiding inside the everyday.

Each brief story is a window — some strange, some beautiful, some unsettling — opening onto moments where reality bends, imagination takes hold, and the familiar becomes quietly uncanny. A chance encounter. A whisper of something impossible. A glimpse into lives that feel both distant and deeply known.

Within these pages you’ll

• Surreal twists and dreamlike encounters
• Fleeting moments of wonder, humour, and unease
• Tiny narratives that linger long after they end
• Worlds revealed in just a handful of words

Perfect for readers who love imaginative storytelling in small, powerful doses, this collection proves that a story doesn’t need many pages to leave a lasting mark.

Open a window.

Look inside.

You may never see things quite the same way again.

About the author

Paul Underwood writes flash fiction, fantasy and magical realism, exploring the small moments where ordinary life quietly becomes something unexpected.

Originally from Northampton, Paul is now based near Loch Lomond in Scotland.

He is the creator of the Tiny Windows Collection, a four-book journey through the seasons told in flash and micro fiction. Across hundreds of stories, mystery, humour, wonder and the unexpected sit side by side.

Paul also writes The Elemental Chronicles, a young adult portal fantasy series beginning with A Storm Incoming and opening the door to larger worlds filled with magic, adventure and discovery.

Alongside his writing, Paul performs Magic and Wonder, and its sense of surprise, timing and possibility continues to influence his storytelling. He publishes independently through Springlight Publishing and writes from a cupboard under the stairs, a place suited to stories, tea and the occasional argument with fictional characters.
